Vacation rentals in Macon County

We absolutely loved this location, out of the way, but still within 10 minutes of stores and the fairgrounds. We brought our two deer recovery dogs that travel with us everywhere and they had a blast! It was 22° at night during our stay, between the fireplace and heaters we were plenty warm enough. It was great to unplug for the weekend and spend time talking, walking and playing games as a family with a preteen and teenager. We would recommend this location to anyone looking to getaway from the hussle and bussle of the fairgrounds or a busy town. All of the comforts of home could be found here and our host was absolutely wonderful.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at this charming home. The pool and hot tub were highlights. We loved that the home has been tastefully updated while keeping its character in tact. We had never been to Montezuma, but this home drew us to a new destination for a fun weekend away.

Cute place to rest my head for a night, needed to cut a longer trip in half and this spot was perfect for my dog and I to stretch our legs and recharge. Interior of the shed and the bathroom were both super clean. Found a *large* rattlesnake shed, a turtle shell and saw a group of 5 deer.

We had a wonderful stay at this Montezuma home! It was the perfect home base as we explored the local museums and historical sites in the area. We had a great visit at the Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins and rode the SAM Shortline Railroad to Plajns, Georgia to visit President Jimmy Carter's hometown, museum, and childhood home which were both a short driving distance from the home. The house was spacious, very clean, and well equipped with everything we needed to feel comfortable and relaxed. One of the biggest perks for us was that it was pet-friendly—our two dogs were able to join us on the trip, which made the experience even better. We truly appreciated having such a welcoming and accommodating space. We'll definitely keep this place in mind for future visits and will gladly recommend it to any friends traveling through the area!

Peaceful, private and an amazing view! We enjoyed strolling the property by the pond and creek, as well as watching the birds from the windows and seeing a few cute lizards in the garden. The cottage was super clean and was decorated like a magazine or as seen on HGTV! My family is still talking about our stay and possibly returning again when traveling through Georgia. Debra was an amazing host! Every need was anticipated and provided for… snacks, a complete coffee bar, tissue, luggage stand, etc. It’s sometimes those little things… the extras provided by Debra speak volumes about class and courtesy. Debra, thank you for an amazing stay!

This property exceeded our expectations by far. We live in Orlando and have traveled all over Georgia in the past 25 years. Finding a vacation rental that is also private and has beautiful natural surroundings is usually a trade-off. This property has it all! The Barndo is unique, thoughtfully designed and modern. It overlooks a beautiful pond with a noisy fountain. Relaxing on the front porch rockers, you have a beautiful view of the woods surrounding the pond, and the sound of the birds and breeze through the pines is so relaxing. We are planning to return and bring our kids and grandkids, as there is something to do for every age group. Elaine showed the perfect balance of checking in to make sure we had everything we needed, and giving us space and privacy. We enjoyed our conversations with her, and appreciated her recommendations for restaurants and things to do. You cannot go wrong in booking the Barndo, or the other small cottage and/or RV site! We will be back!

Everything was great here !

Loved the rustic setting which also had up to date appliances; bath fixtures; TV; AC. A very nice balance! Out away from town, yet close enough for anything you would need.
