Maalaea Bay is perfectly located and central to the entire island so it's easy to get out and explore... Watch the sunrise from high atop the clouds at the 10,000 ft. summit of Haleakala Volcano (about 45 minutes to the summit). Shop the luxury stores of Wailea (about 20 minutes away). If it is snorkeling, fishing or whale watching that interests you, just walk 5 minutes to Maalaea Harbor and jump on one the many different boat tours leaving throughout the day. Susan’s place was beautiful! Magnificent view over looking the ocean, immaculate kitchen & bathroom. I really appreciated that she had ground coffee & coffee filters, plus full kitchen & basic cooking supplies & seasonings. I was able to do a load of laundry while I was there, too. I didn’t see in the listing if there was an elevator, so thought I’d mention there is one conveniently located. Wonderful place! I would stay there again!

This was a great condo to stay at for our first trip to Maui. Very quiet. Very clean. Both my husband and I remarked on how comfortable the bed is. If you want to explore the island by car you are perfectly situated. But you also have a very low key beach right in front. We walked the beach for an hour and watched the sunrise every morning. Absolutely perfect.

We LOVED everything about this location. Iao Valley is so special and the location of the AirBNB itself was perfect for getting all around the island. We visited at the end of March and never ran the AC once. It was hot during the afternoon but the morning/late afternoon/evening cool off, with the winds blowing into the valley were so perfect. AND the birdsong in the morning was so beautiful that I recorded it and sent it to my family (minus the rooster song- but that's just Maui living for ya). If you want a good cocktail check out Ester's Fair Prospect, they have a nice selection of liquor and a fun vibe, located in the city of Wailuku right next door to this place. Also we loved the goodies that were left in the fridge. The pineapple on the island is SOOO good. Sooooooo good. Forget the banana bread hype... just eat the pineapples and bananas fresh! Mahalo!

Maalaea Kai 311 - Direct Ocean Front, Split AC

This is a great condo. It is centrally located making it perfect for first-time visitors to Maui who want to explore most of the island. You will need a car, as there are limited offerings within walking distance. We loved morning coffee on the Lanai while watching whales frolic in the bay. The unit was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with necessities. We found beach chairs and snorkeling equipment in the closet and there were even a few spices and other extras in the kitchen. Vacation Maui was an excellent host. They always responded to emails within a few minutes and sent help within an hour of our reporting an issue with the TV. We'll be back!

We stayed here for a week and loved it. very well equipped condo, kitchen fully stocked with appliances etc, beach chairs body boards, beach umbrella. The view is superb and the condo was actually bigger than we had expected. The location worked for us, a short drive into Kihei and walking distance from marina where a lot of tours depart from. Would stay again dn would recommend!
