Sarah and Jean-Claude were fantastic hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Jean-Claude came over to meet us when we first checked in and gave us recommendations on where to go for dinner and groceries which was very helpful. Their home was perfectly accommodating and our kids especially loved playing and exploring in the backyard patio area. It was a great central location for the activities we had planned, too. Overall, it was a wonderful place to end our trip and we hope to be back in the future! Thank you, Sarah and Jean-Claude!

Wow! What a beautiful place to stay - we’re already missing the views! There is lots to see and visit in the surrounding areas and it’s 10 minutes from the motorway if you’re looking to travel further afield. Susanne was a brilliant host, very attentive, extremely helpful and quick to respond to any questions. We would love to come back!

Such a beautiful place in an equally beautiful location. For those who wish to experience the Swiss country side and yet be fairly close enough to cover all the main attractions of the region, look no further. Stayed 5 nights with my family with 2 kids, and everyday was memorable. The house layout is made for the view, and it’s simply unforgettable.. all the basics are in place and more, no complaints there whatsoever.. in fact one would be pleasantly surprised coming here, for the photos just cannot do justice to what one feels here.. keywords: spacious, comfortable, magical, and beautiful. the hosts and manager were wonderful too.. always ready to help with whatever u need may it be home related or otherwise.. thank you for the amazing experience.. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who wishes to come back to a serene Swiss paradise at the end of a long day of travel, tourists, and attractions..

Our week in Kandergrund was just perfect. The place was cozy, well equiped and had everything we needed. But the best thing was the kindness and hospitality of our hosts Marie and Hari. They were just great, gave us plenty of good advice on outdoor activities and were happy to help with everything. We definitely want to come back. Anamarija&Boštjan

The house is fantastic! It is tastefully decorated and fully equipped for a family of 7 people as was our case. You can see that everything is taken care of down to the details. The location is perfect for visiting many interesting sites around Basel, from the Le Corbusier chapel in Le Ronchamp to Zurich, Lucerne, the villages of Alsace and Strasbourg. It also has a supermarket and a pharmacy within a 5-minute walk and the area is super quiet, ideal for resting after a day of sightseeing. We definitely recommend it for anyone who wants to get to know this area!!!

The location of the house is the absolute highlight. The view is unique. At sunset and with the view of the lake and the whole mountain panorama for dinner, it was indescribably beautiful. We also enjoyed the warm hotpot several times - after a long hike it is very relaxing. The house is as described - the rooms are very nicely decorated, the kitchen is well equipped and the bathrooms are functional but impeccable. If there is a single criticism, then it is the beds, which are very small for double beds and a bit outdated. All in all, we were super happy in the accommodation and can highly recommend the house. Communication with Natalia was also excellent. She responds super quickly and is very helpful. Thank you Natalia for the good hospitality!

We immediately felt comfortable in the villa, after the wow effect when entering. The contact with the host was also likeable and accommodating. Despite bad weather you could go to the pool and hot tub. The gym is super equipped - we were also busy ^^ a lot of praise to the cleaners, it was all sparkling clean and the bedrooms were very nicely decorated.

My family of 11 people stayed for 5 days in this beautiful villa. The pictures are representative of the very spacious rooms and facility . The villa is old but really charming with a big garden. Everything was very clean (not easy in such a big space) and the kitchen and living room are really well equipped for cooking and having dinner in a big group. The area is definitely my favorite in Basel: walk dostance to the rhein river, quite but also surrounded by many restaurants and bars in 5-10’ walk. Dan and hid team were very reactive while contacted for questions. The 2 parking in the garage are also super useful considering that in Basel is very difficult to find a parking to park in the street. Definitely recommended for big groups!!

Amazing host, friendly and responsive. Nested in a quiet, safe neighborhood, the house was impressively clean (especially considering its size). Lots of amenities, washer/dryer, pool table, backyard patio, etc. with understandable quirks for a ~100 yr house. The host even lent us 4 bicycles to get around town. Would definitely stay here again next time we’re in Bern. Note, there’s a bus stop really close by that usually runs every 10 minutes which takes you into city center. Grocery store and restaurants also within a short bike ride or perhaps a 15-20 minutes walk.

The château offered us everything for an enjoyable family reunion. In the large kitchen we were able to cook together, enjoy the aperitif in the salon and dinner in the large dining room. The garden and pool are very nice. The playroom was also well received by the youngest.

We loved our stay here. The house was incredible, as pictured with enough room for our party of 8 including 5 adults, 1 teen, 1 toddler, and 1 baby. The ability to request a pack and play for infant and toys for my toddler was a game changer. The space was thoughtful and enough room for everyone to relax. The town is very quiet and sweet. You can easily walk to Migros and local restaurants. It was perfect for day trips to Thun, Lucerne, Bern, Zurich. It was the perfect landing spot for our group. Laundry is always a plus! Just a couple notes if you have kiddos and plan to do all public transportation, (not a big deal if you have a car but we didn't want to travel with car seats): the home is all tile throughout, not a lot of space to roll around if you have crawling babe etc. The house was absolutely walkable with a stroller from bus stations but don't follow google maps on the 345 bus stop, it'll take a shortcut up to the house that is all stairs. Take the 346 bus instead.

The house was beautiful but the setting was even more beautiful! The view from the house is spectacular of the Alps. Such a wonderful, relaxing place. It accommodated our group of eight very well. The hot tub was very clean and the sauna was a bonus. Ard responded quickly to any questions.

Hot tub needs to be paid separately. Otherwise great for larger groups of people.

Look no further for the best views of the mountains. Forget the hotels this spot is simply the best. Greti made us feel so special as well and had great recommendations. I would come back anytime !!

Philipp's accommodation is particularly suitable for families with children. The availability of 3 showers or bathroom with a toilet and a bathroom is very pleasant and comfortable. The house has been tastefully and elaborately converted from a farm to a "homely" home. The large space available in and around the house is indeed extraordinary (toys, hobby room, swimming pool, barbecue area and much more) and should be an exception to Airbnb's offers. The unrestricted kitchen use and the other items and appliances in the house (washing machine, dryer, etc.) made our stay very pleasant. Philipp has also agreed to be able to charge our electric car at the house outlet (without extra charges). The presence of two cats was very likeable and perfectly rounded off our stay. We fully recommend Philipp's place.

Very large house with nice garden. Flexible host on check-in times. A little renovation of the house wouldn't hurt, but at least it's clean!

“Amazing stay! Highly recommend!” Me and my friends had an amazing experience staying at this Airbnb. Jonalyn is incredibly welcoming and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. She was always very helpful and available all the time. She responded immediately. The property was exactly as described— very clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated. The beds are comfortable and Jonalyn provided towels & sheets for everybody. The kitchen was incredibly well equipped with all facilities you can imagine - better than my kitchen at home. The giant whirlpool was an absolute highlight together with the chimney. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Thomas is a very friendly person and always available if necessary. Her home is beautiful and the pool in the garden is really ideal for children and pleasant in the summer. We highly recommend this listing!

I cannot say enough good things about Ramon, Doreen, Thilo and their two k cats Yumi and Orion. The hosts were so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We felt right at home. The house and the views are absolutely beautiful. The cats were super fun and cute. They live near a train station, getting around was super easy. We would definitely come back to stay with them.
