Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Long Lake

We stayed at Greg's yurt after numerous days of primitive camping at different locations around the park. This space was undeniably exactly what we needed. They had all the supplies we needed to not have to unpack the car again. The location is ideal for the region and we actually walked to Baxter mountain from the yurt then had a beer at the tavern at the bottom of the trailhead after summiting. The family of squirrels around the property are so personable and hilarious and we had a doe come and graze for dinner as we sat out on the porch for the evening. Being from Western North Carolina, it's been a hard year of survival for most of our communities after hurricane Helene leveled our mountain communities with some small towns completely gone. Our mountains and hearts continue to recover 9 months later while our lands are so vulnerable and many areas inaccessible and unsafe to traverse. Being in the ADKs at Greg's Yurt was refreshing and healing for us and we can't wait to come back!

We had a great stay in Tupper Lake, which we used as our home base to hike in the Seward Range. Moody Sunset had everything we needed and more. The kids enjoyed lounging in the basement and playing all the games available. And we enjoyed the beautiful views, cozy fireplace, and well-stocked coffee bar. It was also great to have a Google speaker (something we use at home often). And the ADK stickers, welcome note, and sparkling water at check-in were a really nice touch. Would absolutely recommend Moody Sunset for anyone looking to explore the area. You won't be disappointed.

The Cabin at Breezy Hill was the perfect spot for a cozy stay at the Adirondacks. Robin and Curt have been so helpful, kind and thoughtful. They had great amenities and everything we needed. Our favorite was the screened porch which was perfect for morning coffees and had a beautiful view. The fire pit is supplied with plenty of wood, the stars are incredible at night and the cabin has the perfect view of the Milky Way later into the night. The hiking trails nearby offer a beautiful view of the mountains. When our stay came to an end we reluctantly left but with amazing memories. We recommend anyone looking for a perfect spot in the Adirondacks to stay here. We will definitely be coming back. - T&A

Wow, this place was a stunning find for us. Quite simply a peaceful wooded oasis with a breathtaking view of Lake Champlain. The house is clean, spacious, and accommodating. The little things like toys for our son, the pool table, and Adirondack chairs made us feel right at home. We enjoyed taking the Plattsburgh Ferry to Vermont, playing badminton in the yard, watching the sunrise on the porch, and cooking in the spacious kitchen. Marco was an incredible host and we will definitely stay again at this lovely house.

We have been coming to Lake Placid for 15 years and this was by far the best house we’ve ever stayed in. Jonathan has thought of everything. There was no amenity we thought was missing. The house was immaculate. The property is beautiful and spacious; we had no issue accommodating 7 adults. Next time we come back to Lake Placid we will definitely be reserving this house again.

This was my first ever experience with AirBNB. I couldn't have stayed at a better location for my first experience! Melissa's home was warm welcoming and beautiful. I stayed for four nights with my four children. There was plenty of space for all of us. Although my youngest still chose to sleep with me lol the bed was still big enough for the two of us. The pool was absolutely perfect, my kids loved it! The hot tub was very relaxing and very easy to use. My kids really enjoyed it too. The grill worked wonderfully and the fire pit was great for smores. The covered patio made watching my kids enjoy the pool even more relaxing for me, I'm a ginger so if I can be outside and out of direct sunlight that's a huge bonus for me. The kitchen had everything we needed as well. Melissa was very responsive when I had questions and I cannot thank her enough for the great week. We'll be back next June for another week! Can't wait to return to this fantastic vacation spot!

I wish I could give Deb and Doug 1000 stars! The apartment was amazing, truly a home away from home! The kitchen was STOCKED with everything you would need from a waffle maker, pans, to coffee/tea, to eggs! Deb even made us homemade gingerbread cookies which were DELICIOUS. Two out of the four days that we stayed, we actually made breakfast and ate in the dining room! And saw hummingbirds out of the window!! The living room was super cozy and we made great use of the electric fireplace (The weather was still in the 50s when we went). It also had a very comfy sofa bed which I slept on while my parents took the bedroom. They said their bed was super comfy too! There was even a noise machine in the bedroom along with some fans (they really thought of everything!). The apartment was also incredibly quiet and private. And we honestly didn't even pay much mind to the low ceilings. We're all around 5'7" and we had absolutely no issues! We cant wait to visit again, we will definitely be back!

This place was great. I've stayed in many ABNBs and this place was very clean. It was a very short walk to downtown which was perfect to catch a music show or grab some beers at the brewery. The neighbors were nice too. parking was easy. It's a basement on 2 sides with a walkout to the street like the photos show so it's cool and darker which was great, bc I like to sleep in and I didn't get too hot at night. had a great stay. I would stay there again, and would recommend.

Wonderful peaceful spot, affordable and gorgeous location! Great response time and super cute (and really quiet) doggers peeking at us in the window when we were leaving. Great spot!

a very nice and quiet place for me and my friends to relax! the river was sooo beautiful townake up to in the morning and we all made some s'mores by the campfire! right next to a nice restaurant and a Stewart's so we could even get everything we needed for the fire! would come back here again and thanks for letting us stay!

great stay! super clean with everything you need. walking distance to main Street in Saranac Lake and close to lots of restaurants and shops. hosts were friendly and can recommend things to do and restaurants. the window AC unit worked very well and kept the place cool.

Sandy’s Moose River House was a wow wow wow stay for us !! Romantic 62nd birthday trip. The view from the living room window is like looking out a boat window—the water and wildlife are that close up and personal. Loons, cheery house wren, bombardier hummingbirds, a wood duck and her tiny babies parading by, and flowers bursting everywhere. Yummy outdoor hot tub, comfy covered back deck, lots of dishes and cookware, great linens, and easy coke and go access. Easy area to take peaceful walks. We went to Nick’s Lake Stare Park to hike around the lake—a glorious hike I’ve been doing since I was a child. Eating at Walt’s Diner (local vibe) and Frankie’s (giant Italian portions) was wonderful as always. Sandy was very warm and welcoming, without ever for a minute being intrusive. Perfect balance. On our list of top 3 Airbnb stays ever, in 14 years of being guests all over the world. We will be back !!

This was our first trip to the Adirondacks, but it certainly won’t be our last! The view of the mountains from this location makes it worth a stay alone, but the house itself is incredibly comfortable and only five minutes from a major hiking trailhead. Our week was full of mountain hikes and exploring Lake Placid. Don (and Baxter) are wonderful hosts and we really enjoyed spending time together learning about the history of the mountains. We can’t wait to come back here!

Our stay at Luxe Logs was fantastic. To start, Todd shared a very comprehensive welcome guide in advance that was easy to follow and very helpful in getting acquainted with the property. Todd even proactively provided us early check-in without our asking. The property itself was wonderful and perfectly located for Adirondack activities. You really felt like you were deep in the woods, but still just a 5 minute drive to Gore for skiing and less than 10 minutes to town and restaurants. The cabin was extremely clean, the beds were comfortable, and there was the perfect balance of quaint/rustic and modern/luxury. After a long day of skiing, the sitting area was extremely comfortable and the kitchen was very well appointed with appliances, cookware, and probably the most spices I've seen at an AirBnB. Everything was just as shown in the pictures and we honestly couldn't think of any complaints. Would 100% stay again.

Fantastic cabin right across the street from the lake. Close to everything. Calli has pages of very helpful information, even a day planner. Very handy to have if you’ve never been to this area. One of the best hosts we’ve ever had!

We had a great stay fishing, walking and just relaxing. Did some driving to Speculator and Indian Lake too. Good plan when it’s buggy!

Carolyn was a wonderful host. My wife broke her ankle 3 weeks prior to our original booking and Carolyn worked with us rescheduling us out 3 weeks. We can’t tell you how much it meant to us! The place was perfect! The screened in porch was so comfy when the bugs got annoying. The beach was great! Definitely on our list of places we would like to return to!

We loved our stay. Host was friendly and told us about the property when we arrived. Lake placid was around the corner with plenty of restaurants, shops and hikes. Their land is beautiful with a pond and our dog loved to roam. The cabin was lovely. The owner crafted it himself and well. We can tell it he worked hard on it and it was built extremely well done for the space. We would come back again in the future. Thank you for allow us to experience your space :)

Our 3rd stay on the property - first time in the A-frame. It was a wonderful 3 days! The cabin is cozy, comfortable, has everything you need and is right on the St Regis river. The whole property is beautiful and has lovely, walkable trails. Thank you Sandy for maintaining this very special place, providing the perfect cabin setting and sharing it with us. We will be back in 2026!

This lakeside cabin was an amazing getaway from the busy life that we live. We spent our early morning having coffee on the dock while we watched our dog splash around and swim endlessly. The cabin was both far away from busy streets but also close enough to walk to shops and the nearby town. The cabin itself was very clean and provided a nice quiet place to relax after a long day of outdoor activity. We enjoyed using the kayaks provided as well as the fire-pit. We were fortunate to meet Walter who was kind of enough to give us a boat tour and a talk to us about life in the Adirondacks. We had a great time visiting and will not hesitate to book another stay should we venture off to the Adirondacks again.

Amazing location to xc ski at Garnett Hill (right down the road about 5-10 mins) or Gore Mtn to ski (about 15 mins away). The location is very peaceful and the house itself is a great mix of updated and cabin cozy. We have two young boys ages 6 and 3 and found the layout to be kid friendly and safe, no issues with the stairs. The host even left a high chair in the entertainment room ( which we didn't use but was a nice feature for families with young kids). We found the amenities to be great, it was comfortable to stay and cook in the kitchen and use all the appliances--we used the coffee maker, stove, fridge, dishwasher, microwave. The showers were warm and bathrooms were updated and nice. We all took full advantage of the wood stoves and sauna after skiing and playing in the snow. Amenities are within 10-15 mins in North Creek, we found the food options at Tops to be great. Would recommend to any families or outdoor seekers!
