The house is absolutely beautiful! We felt right at home. It had everything we needed and more. Very thoughtful. The views were breathtaking with some animals coming right to the doorstep. We loved this place and enjoyed our stay! Definitely recommend.

We had the most incredible stay! The house was absolutely beautiful spacious, clean, and so well-equipped with everything we needed. The setting was nothing short of magical, with breathtaking views of the Crocodile River right from the property. Tim was a fantastic host friendly, responsive, and extremely helpful with recommending local safari providers, which made planning our days so much easier. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely love to return. Highly recommend!

I was worried that the house wouldn’t look as nice as it did in the pictures, but wow, it was even better in person. It is a stunning place. Open plan and beautiful, it brought the outside in. It was peaceful and animals happily wandered past. The stars at night were just insane!! It’s in a really great spot, but also close to amenities. Will definitely be back!!

Fine house, thoughtful and very helpful hosts. Decent kitchen and braii, good wine glasses - these are the things that matter! The wildlife visiting the deck was a treat - feeding kudu from a bucket, zebra from the hand - carefully… For those who don’t know Marloth Park, it’s a large, secure, gated estate. Walking after dark is discouraged because there’s a small risk from predators, not crime…. Two supermarkets, butchers and the pub are a minute’s drive away. Hope to make a repeat visit soon.

We had such a lovely stay at Fairfarren! It’s peaceful and private—just what we were looking for. We especially enjoyed the charming company of the warthog family that sleeps under the pool deck. The house itself is spotless and beautifully equipped with everything we needed. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

A pefect retreat in a magic place!

We have been to Zebula before but renting larger units due to the number of guests, this time we were looking for something smaller for just the 4 of us. This is a great unit that has that has everything you need.

What a beautiful house in a beautiful setting! I dont think the photos do it justice, it exceeded our expectations on every level. Loved, loved it. Tannie Hester was so warm and welcoming and Ruffels the dog even decided to spend the night. Thanks a million for a lovely stay.

Sonja (The host) was fantastic: super friendly, open, and always available for any questions or help we needed. She was also really flexible, which made everything so easy and stress-free. We have just come back from spending nine unforgettable nights at Penzhorn Rest Cottage and it exceeded all of our expectations - even better than the photos! Zonja, our host, welcomed us warmly on arrival and was so accommodating to make sure we were happy throughout our stay. Her hospitality has honestly blown us away! The highlight of our stay was the daily sight and sound of the river with nightly hippo visitors which added such a magical touch to our stay, immersing us in the beauty and awe of the African bush. Whether enjoying a coffee while reading by the river or relaxing in the ‘bosbad’ every moment felt really special to us! Zonja’s meticulous eye for detail was evident in the small touches around the cottage which made us feel right at home. This is a haven for nature lovers seeking a luxurious yet authentic escape. If you decide to book this listing you won’t be disappointed! We left feeling rejuvenated and are already looking forward to returning!

We had a wonderful stay in the loft! Here are a few highlights: - The loft was immaculately clean, with spotless linen and a comfortable bed that smelled nice. - The bathroom was clean and spacious, with a fantastic shower. - We loved the coffee/tea station - a lovely touch! - The bar fridge was convenient for storing our refreshments. - The TV had Netflix, Google TV, and YouTube, which kept us entertained. - Our host, Helle, was super helpful and accommodating with our additional requirements. - Helle recommended activities around the estate - The check-in process was seamless and straightforward, thanks to clear communication beforehand. We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful and spotlessly clean Airbnb.The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed and even some surprises that made our stay feel extra special. The location was perfect, with a lovely park just a short walk away, and the property offered plenty of privacy. Although the weather didn't cooperate with our plans, we were more than happy to stay in and and enjoy the space. The hosts have clearly put a lot of thought into creating a comfortable and relaxing retreat. What really impressed us, though, was the host's responsiveness and care - we had a bit of an incident with the alarm late at night, and she quickly checked in to make sure everything was fine. Her attentiveness and kindness really made our stay feel extra special. We'd highly recommend this place!

The place was super peaceful. The pictures honestly don’t do it justice. Great for a reset from the bustling noise of city life. The animals, the birds, the sunsets and the sunrises all these along with the remote nature of the place will have you reshuffling your itinerary to get a day off to sit with a book and a cup of tea. Kim and Tim are also absolutely amazing. Kind, attentive and homely. A few days in and this will feel like a home away from home. The place itself has all the amenities you’ll need and more. Need some milk? They got you. Rusks. Sorted. That thing that gets the core out of your apple? That too. I could go on forever about this place. But 1000 characters available. In summary. A 10/10 stay if ever you’re in the area.

What an amazing lodge Abendruhe is! Every need is catered for and Gunther and Anita are the perfect hosts. Always available and ready to help. Worth doing a game drive with Gunther as besides seeing a lot, he has a wealth of information and knowledge and is willing to share with interested guests. Game can also be seen from your well kitted out chalet throughout the day. Will definitely be visiting them again if we are in that area, no other place to stay!
