My husband & I needed a room for one night near Bloomington/Normal, where hotels/air bnbs are pricey. We were happy to find this safe space just 25 minutes from town. The neighborhood is quiet & quaint, where we saw several folks riding around in golf carts, waving happily as you pass by. Some local kids had a lemonade stand. It felt like the 90s in the best way. The separate entrance is a nice touch, along w/ a keypad for easy entrance. Parking was on the street but with low traffic, I had no concerns. I loved having a king bed, extra pillows & towels, mini fridge, room key, & huge bathroom - everything was very clean. Despite this being upstairs in an older home w/ the charm of squeaky floors, we never heard our hosts, but the room was fairly warm (summertime). We used the ceiling fan & box fan so we didn’t need to ask about the available a/c unit mentioned in the room’s booklet. Communication was always quick & kind. The coffee house around the corner was awesome. Great stay!

Very charming, older house that has been tastefully and comfortably modernized. Very spacious and inviting interior with lots of windows for light and view. House would comfortably hold six people without feeling crowded. Outdoor seating was provided for morning coffee or evening meals if desired. The house is easy to find and access but off street parking is limited. Internet access was fast and reliable. There is a remodeled bathroom in the basement with a large walk-in shower. Note that all bedrooms are on the top floor and there are some steps to enter the house.

This is a very cozy cottage on a shady street with plenty of parking. I really appreciate the fact that there were no TVs That's very refreshing for an Airbnb. The only bathroom was at the top of the stairs which was a small inconvenience. The kitchen is fully equipped and the living room is quite comfortable.

We stayed here for one night and wish we would’ve booked longer! Joseph was very accommodating, answered so quickly, and the place was phenomenal! The cleanest Airbnb we’ve ever stayed at, & The beds were SO comfortable! It felt just like home. A bonus was the shampoo & conditioner & body wash, and the cute bags he leaves with personal care items! 10/10 would recommend! Definitely coming back! ♥️

Oh. My. Gosh. I love finding old buildings that have been renovated for rentals. I have never been so jazzed as when I stepped into Marcia's space, and I was pulled back to the 1920's. Beautiful renovation, but equally beautiful and impressive was the respect and admiration the hosts display for the past, and for the history of this amazing building. Such an inspiration! This place should be a destination for anyone visiting the Springfield area. Super WOWED!!

Roger was so nice and accommodating for our stay. We were trying to stay somewhere clean, safe, and affordable and his place was perfect! Me and my friend were in town for tailgates and tallboys weekend and it was easy to feel right at home here. Roger helped us as needed but overall gave us our space and privacy. Would recommend staying here!
