A little bit of quiet close to town. The Bay Windows are perfect for enjoying the abundance of Natural Light inside the house and the beautiful view. The entrance is narrow but any car comes in without any problem.

If you're looking to truly unplug and immerse yourself in nature, this mountain getaway is perfect. The fresh air hits you the moment you arrive, and the views are absolutely breathtaking. Mornings were my favorite—waking up to the sounds of birds and sipping coffee while taking in the peaceful surroundings was unforgettable. The house itself was spotless and well-maintained, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It's definitely remote, so I recommend a 4x4 to get up the mountain road safely, but the tranquility once you're there is more than worth it. Left feeling refreshed and recharged. Highly recommend!

We needed a few days of rest away from the noise and routine of the city, and in this house we found a lot of peace, nature and tranquility. In addition to some super friendly dogs and access to basic services about 10 minutes away.

We drove through the mountains to what looked like a small cabin, but that was not true at all! It had the sweetest entrance porch where we had a drink. Then there was a living room, dining room, kitchen and bedrooms. After that it had an outdoor kitchen where the family prepared authentic Costa Rican food. Then a courtyard with a look out over the mountain. A large last building had 5 beds for sleeping up to 10 people. The host started afire and they cooked in the outdoor kitchen. There were beautiful flowers in bloom and we took pictures of our family with this and the mountains as a background. There was a lot of parking space and a gate that made you feel secure. The whole time was very enjoyable. Bring your own food ahead of time everything that you want to eat, unless you pay to have the family cook for you, as it is not too close to town.

This accommodation is definitely 5 stars, Juan's service is one of the best I've had on Airbnb, very attentive, kind, making sure we were comfortable, we felt welcome from the time we booked. The accommodation is beautiful, with excellent taste in decoration. From the moment we entered, we felt the warmth of the place. You can tell that it was decorated with great care. It was very clean and had a delicious smell. The kitchen has everything you need for your stay, it also had coffee, salt and sugar, which is appreciated. The bed was very large and comfortable, with spectacular views of the windmills, we slept great. The accommodation is private and away from the noise of the city, despite being very close to the center of Guarco de Cartago. Perfect for relaxing and connecting with nature. We stayed at Doug's house for one night, 4 families, with 4 children. The area is one of the most beautiful in Costa Rica. It has a spectacular view and if you like the cold weather, it is the ideal place for a vacation outside the city but quite close. The cabin is super cozy, equipped with everything we needed for the needs of all families, Doug was super attentive from the first moment. We had a really good time - we would recommend it and will definitely return. We loved it!

We stayed here for 6 weeks. It's a great rustic place, in a rural neighbourhood. Lots of birdlife around. We felt very at home here and would stay again if we went to Costa Rica. The host always responded quickly, and the local manager was always available.

The good reviews of this place really do it justice. Noemy has done a great job making this place perfect for resting. Much nicer than the pictures. Highly recommended and certainly would go back.

It was exactly what we needed. Peaceful and secure place where you can hear the river and the birds all day. The barbecue area was a great surprise!

Kathya was very friendly and helpful. We booked in the morning and the cabin was ready when we arrived. We could have used the big pool, too, but unfortunately the weather didn't play along. We were 6 people (4 adults and 2 children). The cottage is very sweet, but with 6 people and a lot of luggage it gets tight (but Kathya can't help it). We can gladly recommend the place and would come back

Eli and José are the best hosts! They were always attentive to everything we needed and were very kind. The place is very quiet, the pool was our favorite place, in the area there are viewpoints, pools 10 minutes away and a river behind the property. We definitely recommend them!!

We arrived for another reason, we occupied going to a birthday party nearby. But the facilities are very clean. Easy to pick up the keys at the restaurant. And there are several things to see nearby. It is quite relaxing to be there in addition to having facilities such as TV, internet, full equipped, up to coffee, salt, oil, cleaning products and washing machine. I was able to see animals nearby. I'm thinking of coming back another day with more time

Great place! Private and perfect for resting. We had some events in the nearby villages and the location was perfect for us.

The cabin is a very quiet place that invites you to rest. The hosts have thought of many details for the best stay of their guests (appliances, board games, foosball, blankets, lanterns, etc.). It is a modern cabin with all the facilities but immersed in nature. Thank you very much for everything

We loved staying at the apartment. The place is super nice, we loved the decor, the rooms are comfortable, the kitchen is super-equipped, and the living room is cozy. The bathroom is super spacious, and we really liked it for that reason. The location is also great. Luz is a super friendly and welcoming host, she recommended nearby restaurants for breakfast and lunch! We hope to come back soon!
