A historic structure is nestled among lush greenery beside a tranquil lake. The remnants of a tower rise above the landscape, surrounded by trees and a gently sloping hillside that meets the water's edge.

Can’t praise this house enough. It’s beautiful! Spotless, cosy, amazing views and a great location. Close to Downings and Glen our favourite places. I’ve never felt so at home and relaxed. We’ll definitely be back

A person is seen riding a horse in shallow water at a beach. The calm sea reflects the sky, and soft sandy shores frame the scene. In the distance, hills with houses are visible, creating a serene coastal environment.

Sandy Hills View

Brilliant 2 night stay, the house itself is better than described and was perfect for our golf trip. Niamh was a wonderful host, extremely easy to deal with, offered tons of recommendations and flexibility with check in. I would highly recommend this listing to anyone and will certainly be back
A sunroom features large windows framing expansive views of the surrounding landscape. Two light-colored armchairs are positioned for comfort, while a telescope stands ready for exploring the scenery. Wood paneling adorns the ceiling, adding a touch of warmth to the bright, airy space.

Million Dollar Views

We had a lovely week, the house was spacious for 4 adults and 2 kids. A well stocked kitchen and games for the kids to play. Downings Bay Beach is about a 10 minute drive, there’s a lovely coffee place called FiFi’s in Downings and then a coffee van called Rosann. The area is so peaceful and quiet, only noise you will hear is animals and tractors. You would definitely need a car to get around! All in all, a lovely week! Thanks James :)
A stunning view of a sunset is framed by large glass windows, with warm hues of orange and red filling the sky. A comfortable armchair and a small side table are positioned by the window, creating a cozy spot to enjoy the landscape.

Donegal cottage with stunning sea views

EdwinRating, 5 stars3 days ago
What can I say. The house was in a very good location for what we needed it for. Easy to get to shops and restaurants near by. The scenery and the location of the house was amazing. Everything you needed was in the house. We were made very welcome by the neighbors next door and they were very helpful with directions and local knowledge of places to go eat and see. I would highly recommend this accommodation to say in. We will be back again hopefully next year.

A sandy beach curves along the shoreline, framed by rugged rock formations. Gentle waves lap at the sand, leading into calm waters that extend towards a cloudy horizon. The landscape features lush greenery in the background, creating a natural coastal setting.

Great dog friendly caravan, view is absolutely amazing. Stayed there for 2 nights, beach really close, pubs and restaurants short drive distance, place is like described with everything needed for relaxing stay (and little extras like coffee/tea/milk/buiscits..) Rory was really good at responding to any questions we had. We'll miss that view for sure and their doggie too ;) Would 100% come back again.

Daisy Cottage | Sheephaven Bay, Downings, Donegal

CharlesRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a delightful 4 nights at Daisy cottage. We had one day of heavy rain so stayed in for most of it. Not a problem as the cottage is cosy and comfortable while being spacious and well equipped. It’s also very quiet and peaceful with no other dwellings in view. (There are some farm buildings about 50m away but no noise or activity.) We couldn’t find a walking path directly from the cottage but we were happy to drive to walk along countless beautiful beaches and enjoy the stunning scenery. We ate at good restaurants in nearby Downings and Dunfanaghy. Also, highly recommend Braai in Creeslough - we had a fantastic evening meal there. Excellent helpful communication from Bernadette. A near perfect getaway!
