Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Lausanne

We had a pleasant stay at Evelyne's. The house as well as the garden are very nice. The house was very clean and the beds comfortable. I recommend it. We weren't bothered at all by the proximity to the railway.

Marvellous stay over the Christmas period. I know that this would be a wonderful place to stay at other times of the year since it is so convenient for Lutry and exploring the Lavaux region, making the most of walking trails and public transport and boat links. The accomodation is very attractive and well appointed. The view from the balcony is breathtaking.

Sebastien responded quickly to our messages, communication was easy, not complicated and friendly, we felt comfortable. The cottage was as described, clean, very, very well equipped (better than described), the magnificent view, and the sauna and jakuzi great. In short, a lovely vacation for us.

We stayed in a spacious accommodation spread across four floors, featuring one bedroom on the ground floor and another on the second floor. The property is conveniently located just a 1-minute walk from a small train station, making it relatively easy to reach—especially if you're arriving via a larger hub like Montreux. However, it's important to note that while the location is scenic and peaceful, the nearby train station is very small and there are no shops in the immediate vicinity. We arrived late and hadn't realized that basic shopping (e.g., milk, butter, kitchen roll, hand towels for the kitchen) needed to be done in advance or in a larger town. Future guests may want to plan ahead and stock up on essentials before arriving. That said, the mountain views and tranquil setting

The accommodation is sublime, Gérard is very accommodating and full of good advice, the environment is sublime and peaceful. Our stay of a few days has been most relaxing and pleasant, we can only recommend.

Annie’s place was perfect for our stay near Montreux! Bigger than I expected based on the photos, so it was nice to spread out with our group of 6. My kids loved the dart board and those views from the balconies can’t be beat. Annie was so sweet and easy to communicate with. Her little touches made for the best few days!

We had a great time staying at the place. It was beautifully quiet and private. The place is not touristy at all and therefore has only a few restaurants. If you like to cook yourself, there is a Lidl nearby. If you look more closely in some corners, you can see that it is not the highest quality kitchen, or not the highest quality bathroom cabinet. But everything was super clean and that's the main thing. :)

This place is just amazing, the apartment is surrounded by wine yards, and you feel like you’re floating above Geneva lake. I spent there the entire week and felt just like home. If you’re traveling during summer — there is one of the best beaches (Villette), just walk 10 mins down to the village. Highly recommended!

Everything is cozy and nice to stay

I stayed at Matthieu’s place for three nights while visiting my kid who’s studying in Switzerland. The view was absolutely stunning, and the interior felt like something out of the Ritz Carlton. Clearly, Christelle and Matthieu put a lot of care into every detail. The Wi-Fi was also super fast, which was a big plus. Both Christelle and Matthieu were warm and welcoming. We had some great conversations during my stay. The location is just a 5–7 minute walk from the train station. Unless you're traveling with more than two people, I’d recommend skipping the rental car and going with one or two Eurail business class pass instead. Thank you again, Christelle and Matthieu! I hope to return soon.

Beautiful apartment in a quaint little neighborhood. Close to the funicular to get up and down the mountain. Great location to the vineyards. It was a tad tricky to find it when we arrived. Got off at the wrong bus stop and then ubered because it was difficult to walk up the main road (no sidewalk at one point). I pictured it being a little closer to the train station, but I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again because it was so lovely.

Nice apartment (clean and modern inside) with a lake view. I can imagine the fireplace must be nice if going in the winter / after skiing. And the terrace would be very nice in the summer as it’s large and has a nice view. As I happened to be there during off season (early May) and it was raining, I was especially happy to be able to use the sauna just 1 floor below the apt. If you use it, make sure to bring 3-4 one-franc coins (can get some at the store a few houses down on the Main Street), and give it about 40 min on switch option B. Was great for some down time in the mountains!

A great base to shine in the Jura, visit the charming villages, the salt pans, the county house, the many fruit trees, lakes and other waterfalls... all within a radius of less than an hour. There is something for everyone with many restaurants, going from pure local to gastro Michelin-starred. The house is very comfortable and well-equipped (special mention in the kitchen). The view is just sumptuous! What a pleasure every night to dine on the terrace enjoying the sunset. You can't get tired of it! The heated pool is a must. Its size will delight both those who want to play and those who want to swim. Finally, Nathalie and her husband are attentive hosts with good information (who facilitate access), good recommendations and with whom it was particularly easy to communicate.

Amazing place in a great location with many activities to do in the region. Charlène made sure we had everything we needed (with some complimentary goodies!). From information on what to do, how to get there (bikes were included), to a fully equipped kitchen and an amazing bathroom. Fully recommend to anyone looking for a quite getaway with fun activities and great sights.

This is a real dream place. The house has absolutely everything to spend an amazing break by the lake. Nicolas is an incredible host and was very attentive to any minor detail that we needed. We left today and we are already looking forward to coming back. Thanks for everything.

We loved staying in this French villa! My kids (3, 5 and 7) spent hours in the backyard while we hung out on the terrace and stared at the view! The house is gorgeous and thoughtfully designed - we felt right at home. It’s an easy drive to Annecy and surrounding area - we also did a day trip to Chamonix. The bakery down the hill also has amazing chocolate croissants. Thanks for a great stay!

I have only good things to say about this house in which I spent 3 weeks, as well as its hosts. Everything was easy from start to finish, the hosts were very friendly, responsive and accommodating, the house is huge and very well located in a very quiet residential area but just a 15-minute walk from the center. The property is spacious, bright, with a very nice veranda for sunny days and a nice garden, in addition to other amenities such as the whirlpool bath and sauna. Everything was spotlessly clean and tidy and we had unlimited access to everything for a really very honest price. I recommend this rental 100% and would happily go back :)
