The apartment has a French balcony overlooking the sunset over the hilly fields along the Gudenådalen. 15 minutes to Randers and 7 minutes to Langå by train to Aarhus C, which can be reached in 25 minutes.

The apartment has its own entrance, a key box for easy check-in, an electric car charger and free access to a washing machine. Inside there is entrance hall, small bathroom with shower, 2 bedrooms, fully equipped open plan kitchen and living room with comfortable 140 cm sofa bed. Our garden has a fun playground for younger children and a cozy orangery that everyone can enjoy. We always provide you with a clean home, towels and bed linen. Welcome

Large beautiful country house in beautiful nature

Sophielund is a very large, unique and beautiful country estate located in scenic, quiet surroundings with forest as a neighbor and close to Gudenåen. You can walk, hike, run and cycle (mountain bike) and swim. Train station 1 km. Shopping 800 m. The property is located between Viborg, Aarhus, Silkeborg and Randers. If you are a large family or a smaller group (max 8), Sophielund is the perfect place for fun and activities. Charging of electric car - on Østergade or at the local Brugs - about 700 meters from the property.

Guest house

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. From the top floor of the home, there are great views of the fields and forests, where we often see deer and other animals. Eat out when the weather permits at the lovely garden furniture set right outside the door. There are sleeping spaces on each floor, so if you are two couples, or two colleagues, or parents and older children, you can sleep separately. We have agriculture, so there is the possibility of spotting a tractor or other agricultural machinery in action.

Forget your worries in this cozy and sweet home. The guest house is separate and you can be completely undisturbed during your stay. The guest house contains a nice bedroom with a double bed and a living room with space for 2 additional people. If you want to experience Denmark from its beautiful and quiet side, then “Vidkærhøj” is the place for you. The home is part of our property from the 1870s, and was originally an old barn, which we have lovingly restored over the past few years. It is centrally located between Aarhus, Silkeborg and Skanderborg. It is high up here, and if you like, our dog, Aggie, would love to greet you, just as our cats, chickens and rooster are also very curious. We can’t wait to host you 🤗
