It is a perfect base camp for hikers 12 miles south of Franconia notch trail heads and Appalachian Trail crossing. The cabin is most often used by hikers who want a base camp near many of the most popular hiking trails near Franconia Notch. It is a peaceful and quiet place.

Our property abuts the Toad Hill Farm wedding venue and is a 5 minute drive from the cottage. The Bishop Farm wedding venue is about 12 minutes away.

Wow…I absolutely loved this cabin. I was able to have 3 dear friends and my Dad visit throughout the week. Initially I had booked this trip for a boyfriend and I to take together, but thankfully the relationship dissolved before the NH getaway. This cabin is immaculate and it’s obvious that the family who owns it are big time skiers. The charm and history of Mittersill is a mixture of stepping back in time to 1980 and teleporting to the Alps at the same time. The kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms were all wonderful, however the living room, fire place, and dining area make it unique and unforgettable. I hiked 2 more 4,000 foot peaks (Tecumseh and Hale), had an awesome beach day at echo lake, toured the flume gorge, and did a Kancamangus road trip. Artists bluff trail head is right down the street! I hope to rent this property and visit again. It was truly one of the best weeks I’ve had in a long time. Thank you Jenna!

This was a great space for our family of four. It was comfortable and private, and we still had access to conveniences like groceries nearby. We enjoyed our visit and would come again.

Jason was one of the most responsive hosts we have ever had. He answered whatever questions we had and immediately resolved minor issues like how to regulate the mini splits. The house has a nice view of the lake, and the separate deck amidst the trees offers some serenity. The lake is a great place for swimming too. We love to hike and there are wonderful trails within 15-40 minutes.

The views are simply spectacular from every level of the house, Erik is a proactive and communicative host, and the amenities are well-stocked, including a well-equipped kitchen. The first and basement floor decks are large and perfect for soaking in the views with your morning coffee or enjoying dinner around the outdoor table. The large and numerous windows allow for an equally impressive view from inside. The location is under twenty minutes from Franconia Notch and all its splendor and activities, and twenty minutes from a stroll down Main Street in picturesque downtown Littleton with all its small town amenities. If you’re looking to experience the beauty of the White Mountains with all the warm comforts of home, look no further.

My husband, son and daughter had a wonderful stay . . . so many birds!!! Very cozy space and Mallory was just wonderful and helpful with everything. Too bad the weather was rainy over the weekend because my son wanted to hike the nearby trail :) Hope to meet you someday when you come up to our area in Maine . . We plan on booking some point in the future. Our daughter goes to a nearby school and the location was perfect!
