The cottage is in a great location by the river. The house had everything we needed, the beds were comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay in this great place. We will definitely come back.

Everything I hoped and wished for our stay was like the pictures and details! It was a gorgeous home, the bedrooms were comfy and spacious. The kitchen was massive and so perfect for a big group, the backyard with the pool was so beautiful and like a little oasis! It was the perfect distance to downtown, not too far. Such a good stay, definitely will be back!

Thank you for sharing your unique little slice of the Low Country with us at the “Riverhouse Retreat on the Edisto. This well equipped property has everything you could want, including a wonderful river view, to make for an enjoyable stay. We found, nearby, the Cottageville Good Eats to be a great local restaurant with sandwiches, pizza and a fun Karaoke night. We were left a delicious Quiche, Applesauce Spice Bread and the special treat for our dog. Also, fresh eggs which made for a great breakfast. The hospitality and communication from our host found at “Riverhouse Retreat” will spoil you as it is far above what you will find at most other AirBnB’s.

Anna’s place was perfect way to celebrate my graduation with a weekend girls trip despite the rain! The place was clean and in the perfect location. She also was very responsive and helpful. Would definetly stay again :)

What a fantastic vacation home! Had such a great time with the kids! The place is beautiful, Kendal is so helpful and responsive (as are the neighbors!), and it’s exactly as described plus more. The perfect stay! Beautiful lake, clean and gorgeous house, quiet neighborhood and amazing bang for your buck. We've stayed at a dozen Air B&B's and this was top 3! Plenty of space for our family of 5 (though could have EASILY fit another 3-5 guests). Never felt like we were falling over one another. Great fishing location (though we only caught one fish, haha), calm waters and breathtaking sunrise/sets. About an hour drive from the beach at Charleston (highly suggest Folly Beach). Morgan was responsive when we had questions and was always super kind.

We stayed for 4 days and I have nothing to complain about. It was a beautiful home, everything was clean, communication was great and the host was accommodating to our needs. When we arrived we noticed a thank you card and homemade cookies were left for us. That was a very nice surprise and definitely made it more homey. Our dog Nigel had the best time which made us so happy to see! He had plenty of room to run around outside and explore.

We just spent a week here for an extended family vacation, and what a wonderful trip! The property is on a quiet part of the Lake of Marion and about 15-20 minutes from most restaurants or stores. The pool and the screened-in porch area were our favorites and where we spent most of the week. My kids loved kayaking and fishing off the dock in the mornings before jumping into the pool to spend most of the day. I would definitely advise going grocery shopping and planning a lot of your meals at the house. As mentioned, it’s pretty isolated, and a lot of the places close have limited hours. For food options, I would suggest Fayz on the Lake, Summerton Diner, D&H BBQ, and Thommy Mac’s. The house was wonderful and easily enough room for nine people. Stuart was a great host and provided everything we needed and gave us good local recommendations

We loved our stay. The place was wonderful, and we fell in love with the neighborhood. Extra appreciation for the host’s great and helpful communication before we arrived.

This house was perfect for our family and our dogs. It was super clean and had everything we needed and more! The park within walking distance was awesome too. I would definitely stay here again!

This might be the best vacation rental we have ever had. My grandson liked this vacation more than Disney World. It was the perfect place to relax and just enjoy being with family. Mark was great and available if we had any questions. We will definitely be coming back.

My family and I loved our long weekend in Mt Pleasant at Melissa's place! We frequent the area often and this has been our favorite airbnb to date. We 100% will be back! The place feels cozy and right at home. The pool is an added bonus. It was perfectly maintained and the lights at night were great! The location is perfect, quick drive to the beaches and restaurants. You do have to share the backyard/pool area with your neighbor but we had very nice/respectful neighbors in the next door unit. Book it, you won't be disappointed. We didn't want to leave!

This was a great location.

The pictures accurately represented her space. We found there was plenty of room for four adults. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, silverware and dishes, something we find to not always be the case. The location was ideal for visiting the beaches and getting to Charleston. Megan was good at making sure we had all the prearrival information we needed and had recommendations on what to do and where to eat. If we were in the area we would stay here again.

The house was as advertised. It was right on the lake. The dock had a beautiful view of the lake. The house was well maintained and looked like the pictures. The showers were a little tight, but overall the house was great. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip down to Lake Marion.

We couldn't have found a better place to stay. It was so great for me and my five cousins! They all stayed in the cabin, which fit them perfect and I got to stay in the little, tiny house by myself. Which was extremely nice, We will be back! Loved everything about it! Mr. William was always prompt in asking if there was anything that he could do for us by text to let him know! Very relaxing place! ❤️ Thank you, Mr. William!

This place is an absolute gem! It looks just as described and was exactly what we needed for a 4 person/small dog family. The layout is very open and allowed for everyone to have their much needed space after our cross country road trip! ( NV-SC) It is serene and peaceful. with a lovely lake view. We really enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the squirrels and birds. The owners were very kind and friendly. We enjoyed sunning on the dock and cooling off in the lake. The park is close enough to walk to and the kids (12&15) enjoyed themselves. We are so glad we found this place! Perfect place for a relax and reset.

The Rustic Roost is very cute on the inside with beautiful green grass on the outside. The space had everything we needed to accommodate my family of four + our 12 year old pup. Great location for us as we were visiting for a busy graduation weekend. Owners let us know of an Adventure park nearby as well & our boys LOVED IT! Plenty of linens available for showering, blankets, & sheets if needed for the futon. We are already looking forward to our next adventure with TRR next year!🐓

Loved staying at Big Mama’s! It was such a relaxing stay with beautiful scenery. JamieSue was very responsive and was very hospitable. A 5 star stay for sure!

This place was absolutely beautiful and the pictures and description were very accurate! My husband and son enjoyed crabbing and fishing off the dock nightly! We enjoyed watching the boats on the Stono River! My bucket list item was Charleston and David's place was exactly what we needed for our stay! Would highly recommend!!

We loved our stay. It was the best location for some peace and quiet and close enough to all of our points of interest. We were able to visit Mount Pleasant/ Shem Creek, Folley Beach and Downtown Charleston. The home and outdoor spaces were perfect and we loved all the details. The extra touches (quality shower products,games, and even slippers) make this visit one we can’t wait to revisit.
