Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Lake Lure

This house is gorgeous! We had a wonderful stay. It is about a 10 minute drive from Black Mountain and maybe 20 minutes from Asheville. The bedding was all super comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The only downside for us was that the A/C was out for the first 2 days and it got very hot, especially at night. Once it was fixed, everything was comfortable.

This home was absolutely beautiful! From the cozy decor to the comfortable beds, clean linens/towels, and home—plus the babbling creek right outside! I could not recommend this space more. The location is great if you're looking to be out and away but within a reasonable drive into town/cities (Black Mountain is about 15-20 minutes, Asheville is about 40-45 minutes). Jason and his family were proactive in communication, extremely helpful, and left very clear instructions for their home. As a dog owner, the provided dog towels, blanket cover, and bowls were such a helpful touch that made the stay that much better. Thank you again for a wonderful stay! Major highlights: Very clean, comfortable, cozy, and peaceful.

This place was perfect! We felt so comfortable and relaxed. It smelled good, looked good and was really clean! The hot tub was easy to use and we took advantage each night the weather allowed. We didn’t want to leave and will absolutely stay again! Graham was very responsive and helpful. We had not a single thing we didn’t like or wished was different. If I could give it 100 stars I would. Oh yes, easy storage to unpack and “live” here for a week!

Our family is huge so it’s really hard to find a house large enough to host all of us. Daniel’s house was GORGEOUS and so spacious, the photos did not do this place justice. The upstairs was beautiful with large windows that let natural light in. We did encounter a mama bear and her baby, but Daniel warned us every day during our stay to keep trash in and be aware of the bears. We were secured inside the house and got to watch through the windows. It was an amazing experience for the kids. The golf cart was a game changer. We didn’t have to move our vehicles a lot. The amenities were perfect for us and the kids. Two pools, mini golf, and pickleball was all we needed to stay busy the entire weekend. Lake Lure was closed, but that was told to us weeks before the trip. We will definitely come back when Lake Lure opens. 10/10 vacation!!!!!!

We booked this place for the gorgeous views, and it delivered! We had a peaceful stay here. The house is so beautiful and clean, and the kitchen was stocked with everything I needed to prepare home cooked meals. There are also beautiful and fun hikes in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We stayed at this gorgeous home for a few days as our first family vacation since our daughter was born four months ago. We’ve traveled all over the world with Airbnb and this has been one of the best! The home is gorgeous, spacious, and clean. The view is unbelievable. We enjoyed the hot tub every evening. Everything is also very organized and labeled so that you know exactly where anything is. Steve was also very accommodating with letting us check in early! Highly recommend!

Wonderful place. Absolutely perfect. Wanted to buy it immediately to make it my own. Loved the history and the family connection. Treated it with respect as if it were my own. Beautiful.

Breaking up our road trip for a few days, picked this when looking in the Asheville area. Exactly as described! Love the quaint village of Black Mountain - we may have found a destination, rather than a lay over. The house is well appointed - loved the steam shower and the nice notes everywhere with hints and suggestions for everything from a good nights rest to places to eat. Great host!

We had a wonderful stay at Monisha's place! The views from the window and deck were gorgeous! The house was very cozy and clean. Monisha is a great host and we hope to come back again!

Denise's place is very nice. It's located in a peaceful, wooded setting that is 4 minutes from downtown Black Mountain. The bed is comfortable and everything in the space is in great shape. The hot tub is very nice and has a view of the back yard and an adjacent wooded area. Denise and Jimmy are helpful and quick to respond to messages. We enjoyed our stay and hope to be able to rent again in the future.

Our family is always grateful to stay at Mary Ann's beautiful property! We've stayed here multiple times now and hope to continue to do so whenever our travels take us through the Asheville area. This property is truly a gem - peaceful, beautiful mountain view, a tree swing, lots of greenspace for the kiddos to run around outside after long car rides, comfortable big beds, a lovely bathroom, cozy living room and lots of much appreciated extras in the kitchen like KCups and creamers, pop tarts, waffles, water and juice. And if you ever need anything, Mary Ann is super responsive. It truly feels like a respite for us along long family trips, like getting to stop at a home away from home. We love this special place! Exquisite furnishings, comfort and quality of linens and bedding. A wall of windows looking out to gorgeous forest and sunset views. Walking distance to Grovepark Inn providing exercise, shopping and dining accommodations within steps of the woodland basement apartment.The fireplace in winter and outdoor patio in summer are lovely. Bear sightings are assured! Owners are nearby if needed but non intrusive. Quiet location. Best Airbnb in all our travels and definitely best place in Asheville. Appreciated the full-sized refrigerator, dishwaher, microwave and toaster oven for light cooking.

We had the pleasure of staying at Melodie’s apartment while in town for a wedding. It was perfect for our family of 4. Our girls loved having their own bunk beds and the King Bed was very comfortable. Everything we wanted or needed was provided. Melodie was so gracious and very responsive. I only wish we had more time to spend at the place enjoying how beautiful and peaceful it all is. This couldn’t be located in a better area. Loved waking up to seeing the mountains and rolling hills. What a wonderful trip and we’ll be back!

Our stay at Hiker’s Hideawqy was perfect. The apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed for coffee in the morning, meal prep, and tea in the evening. It’s a great location too. I’m sure we will be back!

I did not interact with the host very often because it was a short stay, but she was responsive to the few inquiries I had. The house was within walking distance of the venue, Third Room, which made exploring Asheville fun and purposeful as we meandered to the event we were in town for. It was also close enough for an inexpensive Uber back. The home was functional and friendly for our brief visit. I will be visiting Asheville often. This will be near the top of the list if I need room for three or more.

The Vineyard Villa is absolutely perfect for a 2-couples or 4 girlfriends getaway. Perfectly appointed villa, beautifully decorated, comfortable bedding and furniture, full kitchen with everything you need to make a meal, and 2 lovely full bathrooms. Beautiful outdoor seating area for enjoying the view of the vineyards. Secluded and oh so quiet! You have full privacy, but the owners are close by if you should ever need anything. Bring casual food, books and games, and buy wine at the vineyard and your perfect getaway awaits!! We will be back!!

Alex & Josh were great host! Communicated clear & easy check in and check out instructions and were check in with us throughout our stay. The cabin itself was beautiful and clean, it was stocked with everything we needed pretty much in the kitchen and bathrooms. There were little chocolates on all the beds when we arrived, there were all different types of towels, to bathe, pool towels even make up towels which was , little thoughtful details we appreciated. The location was really great! My boyfriend and I were able to do a bunch of hikes near by but also be close enough to enjoy the downtown Asheville area. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, would definitely return!

Highly recommend this place! We rented it for a bridal/bachelorette party weekend for five women, and it was marvelous! Early instructions about check in were informative. We lived in the hot tub. When there was an issue on Friday evening, we contacted the host who responded within the hour. Kitchen worked great for our personal French cooking lesson. We had a blast playing pool downstairs. And oh how the beds were comfortable, with great sheets to boot! Great views out the living room and kitchen to enjoy your morning coffee. What a great place!

We loved our stay. We loved contributing to the economy in the recovery efforts of your charming city. Home met all of our needs. Very well appointed and comfortable. Easy to find. Lot of great things to do today close by.

Wendy waited for us for check in at night and was always available when we needed something. The place was better than the pictures. Beautifull views and really clean. golf cart was fun and games room in clubhouse kept us entertained in rainy days. beautiful community and people

Great space! Very CLEAN. Beautiful location. Adam was very responsive to questions. Home is private and picturesque yet a short drive to downtown Weaverville and Asheville. The home WiFi uses older encryption (TKIP) but I was able to use my cellphone as a hotspot for school/work. Personal devices connected to the WiFi fine. Both AT&T and Verizon cellular networks have strong signal here. This was minor and did not deter from our enjoyment of the residence or the trip itself. We had a wonderful time, and would return.

Hidden gem with breathtaking views and near popular hiking spots! I recently had the pleasure of staying at this incredible place and I can confidently say it was one of the best experiences I've ever had! The property itself was even more stunning in person than in the photos! I loved having the homemade pizza that was included. It was very easy to make and it was such a fun date night, the pizza was delicious! The place itself was spotless and very luxurious! We also loved the YouTube tutorials on how to work the amenities, it was very helpful. Julie was amazing and always got back to us right away, we also met her husband and he was super nice and helpful with hiking recommendations! We will definitely be back soon!!

Eric was always quick to respond to my questions. Was willing to give genuine suggestions. Was very easy to talk to. Loved the location and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
