Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Lake Atitlán

This is by far the best Airbnb I have ever stayed at. I’ve traveled to a lot of Airbnb’s in many different countries and none compare to this. Finding this place is surely an adventure but once you are there, you don’t want to leave! I can’t say enough good things about the chefs that will cook you every meal. We had them do all the shopping for our meals along with other items we wanted such as water and beer. The housekeeper services that help coordinate private boat rides to other villages, keeping the place clean, or even small things such as turning on the hot tub while we are away are truly incredible perks of this place. The property and views are just amazing and I can’t wait to come back here for my next stay!

This Airbnb is what Airbnb was supposed to be 10 years ago. It’s not just another property from a manager that you never see. Jean was very warm welcoming and welcomed us herself on our arrival. She was very proactive by giving us some tips from what to do, where to go or eat. She answered really quickly and helped us organized some massage sessions. The property is as described. The heated pool, the private beach and dock. Be aware that there are a lot of steps in the property and that arriving there from San Marcos may be a little difficult because of the road. But in my opinion those aren’t a problem after you see how beautiful it is there. I hope I can return one day

We loved staying at Nicolas’ home! It was so peaceful and beautiful. The views are amazing and loved waking up to a beautiful view in the morning. Although our trip was short, we enlisted every minute of it! The location is a bit far from the lively cities but the boat rides are pretty consistent so getting around was not difficult at all. Not to mention Nicola’s had recommended to us the best way of transportation around cities so that was help for sure.

¡Nos gustó mucho el alojamiento de Mary! el alojamiento y el precio están demasiado bien, además de que Mary siempre fue muy cordial, se presentó a darnos la bienvenida y explicarnos cosas importantes (cosas de la casa, recomendaciones). En lo personal me pareció lindo ese contacto. Limpieza 10/10, amenidades 10/10, espacio 10/10. Todo excelente. Un alojamiento que seguro lo vale y esperamos regresar pronto.

This place was absolutely beautiful. The ladies that came and cooked for us were amazing. Food was amazing and so worth hiring them to cook for us. There really isnt anywhere to get food from around the area. Josue went and purchased the groceries for us and made sure that we had everything we needed. I cant wait to book this place again.

La Casita del Lago was the perfect location for a gun and relaxing family trip. Lots of room for everyone, outdoor and indoor areas were comfortable and well designed. We used the grill and fire pit, hammocks and paddle boards. The best part was the support by the staff at the house, Rudy, Rosa and Maria were fantastic and they made our stay memorable. we will definitely come back!

Great place to stay for a decent price! Taxis come by every now and then so you might have to wait awhile. House was just as beautiful as the pictures.

This was a nice apartment in a local part of San Pedro, close to a couple of Spanish schools. It was clean, the kitchen well stocked and the beds were very comfortable with clean fresh linens. The best part was the above board service from our hosts. We were provided with eggs and bread when we arrived and they responded immediately to any requests. Highly recommend and should we return to San Pedro we would stay here again! Thanks Rosa for all your help.

Was a pleasure to stay here! Away from the noisy city, amazing hosts who helped us with everything we wanted ( fan was broken and they got us a new one right away), they also have an amazing Italian restaurant that they give us a discount for, beautiful place, a view of the lake, great WiFi, it’s a walk from town (which we loved to get our steps in) or a Q10 per person tuk tuk

We had a lovely stay, the view is amazing and it’s very calm and peaceful, but still relatively quick to get to the centre of San Pedro (20 min walk). We would definitely come back!

Le logement est incroyable, une magnifique vue sur le lac, la terrasse et la piscine sont top. Le logement est impeccable, tout est réuni pour passer un moment incroyable autour du lac.

We really enjoyed our stay at Rocio's place, the views are absolutely stunning! It was so peaceful and we enjoyed the fireplace upstairs. Would love to return one day!

Larissa’s place was beautiful! It was wonderful to wake up to such a wonderful view and sip coffee on the patio, watching the lake wake up. Larissa also had a wonderful guidebook with great recommendations! We felt very prepared going into the trip due to this guidebook. Highly recommend!!

Great stay, as others mentioned the view is better then the photos, would stay again!

Excelente lugar para vacacionar en familia o con amigos, amplio y con vistas preciosas, tiene todo para pasarla increíble hasta juegos de mesa, la cocina súper completa tiene hasta una Alexa, recomiendo mucho este lugar Aspectos a tomar en cuenta: Súper retirado de todo ni una tienda cerca, lo más cercano es Santa Catarina Palopó a 30 minutos y Panajachel como a 45 minutos. El camino desde Santa Catarina Palopó no es el mejor, se iba convirtiendo de 2 carriles pasaba a 1 y hay como 15 minutos de terracería la cual cuando fuimos habían reparaciones, ignoro si pondrán asfalto pero en lluvia no creo que suba carro pequeño por 2 cuestas con tierra suelta, si vienen desde Patzún ahí si es calle asfaltada y 10 minutos de terracería. Solo pusieron 2 rollos de papel para una familia de 7 estando 3 días y no dieron sábanas extras, considero que para familias así es necesario Recomiendo traer comida para los días de vacaciones y no salir mucho, la pasarán increíble, yo lo disfruté demasiado.

Teva's place has a great location, right between Santander St and the ferry dock for the towns along the north shore. The location is also quiet, and you feel extra safe behind the perimeter wall. The unit itself is perfect for a couple/3 people for a few nights - it has space, plus a great balcony, plus the bathroom is a decent size. I would definitely stay there again.

El lugar tiene una ubicación genial! A 2 minutos de la calle Santander (la calle principal de Pana), pero lo suficientemente lejos para el ruido de la calle no sea molesto. La suite tiene todo lo que necesitas y todo funciona a la perfección, lo único que hay que considerar es que si el hotel esta lleno, el area social y lugares de desayuno (que estan a la par de la suite) si producen bastante ruido a la habitación, si tenes sueño profundo esto no será problema. Por lo demas es un lugar que recomiendo para tener una muy buena estadía en Panajachel. Tanto para familia, amigos o parejas.

I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a more relaxed stay. The view of San Pedro from the balcony was absolutely beautiful! I ended up spending more time at the unit in the hammock for that reason. There is no A/C (as most accommodations in the area) but you can leave the windows open to cool down at night (I didn’t have any insect problems during my stay). The unit is situated between San Pedro and San Juan so you’ll have easy access to both areas via tuktuk. San Pedro is a loud nightlife area so bring ear plugs (also what other guests have mentioned in their reviews so I was aware when I had booked this). I’m not sure if there are any other spots that you could get the same view without the noise. The unit is outside of the main busy areas so there aren’t any restaurants nearby but it’s really easy to grab a tuktuk right out front for very little (10-15 GTQ). Clemente was also very kind and very responsive. As a solo female traveller, I felt very safe staying here.

Alejandro's place was great! We loved the 360 view and the outdoor shower. It was great seeing the sunrise from the balcony every morning! Host is very responsive and helpful as well. Something to note - the neighborhood has a lot of roosters crowing all night, and because the metal roof is not completely closed, it might be hard for some people to get a good night's sleep. By no means is this the place's fault though, but just to be aware if you're a light sleeper! Everything else was awesome, very clean and good amenities! Drinking water in the kitchen, warm showers, good working faucet, a desk to work at, a bench on the balcony! Power outlets were also abundant and there's a good working ceiling fan:) Thanks, Alejandro!

Es un lugar emocionante tuve la oportunidad de presenciar frente a mi la lluvia sobre los volcanes y el lago, es una experiencia a la altura de cualquier atracción en el mundo. Lo recomiendo al 100%

Excelente servicio, higiene, instrucciones claras, servicios de excelente calidad, un poco alejando de la zona viva pero se podía llegar en tuktuk sin problema alguna, muy amigable don Cirilo.

Sarah’s place was in an amazing location in Pana! A short walk away to literally everything, the best grocery store, shops, cafes, restaurants, and the docks. Her place feels extremely safe with a locking main entrance door to the complex after the cafe below closes at night. We felt so lucky to have this modern, clean, and comfy studio space in a modern and well-maintained complex to return to after so many adventures out exploring this incredible area. We worked remotely from here and the WiFi was very reliable other than when the entire town lost power for 4 hours during a storm. It was fun to watch the world go by from the window seats…we caught a few parades from there! We were so grateful to have air conditioning here as we visited when it was quite warm. There were a few nights where you felt like the live band nearby was literally inside the complex, but we were warned in advance and it was only on weekends. All in all, great place to stay in Pana!
