We booked this for some friends of ours. They greatly enjoyed their stay. The place was nice and cozy and away from the touristy crowds. Krishna was responsive to all inquiries. Our friends had no complaints!

Uncle ji and Aunty ji made us feel right at home. We visited nearby mela, had local kangra food and enjoyed several games and competition. Thanks a lot for hosting us!

What a place. What a team. If you have the chance to stay here, then STAY HERE!! The home sits at the top of a village overlooking the value with amazing views. It is peaceful and away from tourists. You will feel like you are off the grid and away from everything else. The home is brand new. We were lucky enough to see snow for 2 days making the scenery even more spectacular. We even saw monkeys come down from the trees after it started snowing. The team are absolute kings. The food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) was the best we had in India. The chef’s attention to detail is second to no one we’ve seen. Make sure you have a BBQ outside with a bon fire. The staff are always checking to see if you need something and making sure that everything is going well with regular check ups through the day and evening. The owner provided some amazing tips and support for the surrounding areas and even drove us down the mountain to see Manali. Would recommend everyone stays here. Awesome.

Well, to start with, nothing but praises for the host, Kritika, she was so friendly and helpful. Has so much knowledge about the place, full of recommendations and places to check out. Sadly I was only staying for one night as I was passing through but she suggested so many great places to eat and shop! Plus the welcome basket was such a nice personal touch. Loved it! Special mention to the staff (especially Suman didi), they do such a good job of keeping the place (Bathrooms, Kitchen, Rooms etc.) squeaky clean and super friendly too. The place itself was super easy to find, accurate location pin, plus Kritika was literally just one phone call away the whole time I stayed there. Phone network was good plus the place has WiFi, so no communication issues at all. Safe to say I’m definitely coming back for a longer stay super soon simply to explore Bir in its entirety! Very good experience over all, 10/10 would recommend Hermit’s Nest to anyone who is in Bir. Kudos to Kritika and her team.

The place was lovely- perfect for our family reunion! Clean, comfortable with lots of small details like games, water in the rooms as well as comfortable lounge chairs, patios overlooking the valley. The breakfasts were excellent with very generous portions and the staff very friendly and helpful. The cafe was close by and the food was excellent. The water gets very hot so recommend turning off when not using for easier temperature control. The driveway is steep like all the other hotels in the area but the view is worth it. Easy to connect to the lamadugh trek from the cafe and close to the park and wildlife sanctuary. Easy walk to old manali also. Thanks for a great stay!

We recently spent 3 nights and 4 days at this amazing property in the mountains with our extended family of 8, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The property offers breathtaking views and a peaceful environment that made us feel like we were staying in our own home in the mountains. The hosts were warm and welcoming, always ready to help, and served us delicious home-cooked meals that added to the comfort and charm of our stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better holiday spot and will definitely be visiting again. Highly recommended!

If you are looking for a private and quiet place to stay, this one is the best. It’s up at old manali with a very cozy bed facing right into the mountains. You have a kitchen in case you wanna cook something and an extra neat bathroom. No rush, just you and the nature ✨

From always preferring hotels for a stay to booking a cottage for the first time via Airbnb. Whole lot of anxiety, if it will be as mentioned or not. Honestly no regrets. The way the property owner has maintained the property, take care of their guests and make sure they get what they might have imagined while booking the cottage is incredible. They have kept each and every details in mind to provide the comfort to their guests, right from providing all amenities to making available umbrellas too.smallest details in mind which include keeping umbrellas. A big shout out to the caretaker of the cottages who is very attentive and always ready to lend a hand. Thank you Viraastebir for an incredible stay.

We had a wonderful 2-night stay at Rabbit House in Himachal Pradesh. The place was cozy and perfect for a family getaway. My daughters absolutely loved it! The food was delicious, freshly prepared with local ingredients, and each meal was a delightful experience. Biki ji his wife and anju (their Daughter) were incredibly friendly, always eager to help and make our stay comfortable. We truly appreciated their warm hospitality and thoughtful recommendations. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a serene and homely experience in the hills.

The surrounding view was very pretty. Ice the husky is a sweetheart. Trek to the place is around 10 mins, but is difficult to trek at night. Bathroom was very neat. Food is great, but takes a while to arrive. Dome could be cleaned better for a clear view of the sky. On the whole, it was a good experience.

I recently visited Nikhil's place with family, The place felt too welcoming. His property was too comfortable & peaceful we've extended the stay.. Nikhil was too promt in solving any minor issues & suggesting local places. Atul bhai took very good care of us. would definitely recommend if you're looking to stay in peaceful & homely environment.

Excellent quite place, far from the crowd and rush of Manali. Situated in a small village, it is a perfect place for family holidays. We were there for 4 days and we enjoy and cherished our trip 👌

was a bit underwhelmed at the entry, as the manor has a shared parking with a cinema. once we opened the gate to the stay, we were transported to a private place. really liked that. the manor had an old world charm. amenities in the room were excellent. the food prepared was very tasty. staff was responsive too. we were a large family with different needs. they responded well. overall very happy. thank you team.

This place is incredibly special! We had a wonderful 6 nights here. It is a well furnished home, with everything you might need for a comfortable stay. The surrounding pastures and village are very beautiful, and the people who live in the village are so friendly. A couple of the dogs came to visit us each day, which was sweet. You can walk into Bir Colony in about 30 minutes or rent scooters nearby super easily. Karan was extremely helpful and sent us wonderful recommendation. And Mina, the caretaker, she was an utter delight, came to check on us and was lovely. We are currently trying to find a way to come back here for a longer stay, we loved it so much. Thank you!

Except for the heating not being efficient great place and fantastic staff. Would recommend this place for anyone who wants to have a good time in Manali. With better warmers this could be even better
