The famous Harold Porter Botanical gardens is 5 minutes drive away. Betty's Bay has endless hiking, surfing, angling and snorkeling opportunities. A local grocery store is about 700 metres from the house.

On the eleventh of January 2019 we had a fire in Bettys Bay that burnt a lot of vegetation, but that will grow back in time and the beautifull view from here will never change. Other nearby attractions is the African penguins, hiking trails, kayaking, wine tasting and whale watching.
