Quiet Retreat for Couples lake district, Coniston

LynnRating, 5 stars36 months ago
The cottage is in an ideal location for visiting Windermere and Coniston both around 30-35 minutes away . We found it to be an amazing peaceful place to stay with lovely views over fields towards the estuary. The cottage had everything we needed being very well equipped in the kitchen a very powerful shower and a super comfortable bed. We would defiantly visit again.
The image shows the textured, stone exterior of a cottage with a soft pink lower section. A single, arched window with white framing provides a glimpse of the interior, alongside a terracotta pot positioned against the wall, adding an earthy element to the scene.

Kings Head: 2 Bedroom Countryside Cottage

RobinRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a wonderful 3 nights in the Kings Head cottage. The lounge area is as stunning and unique as the pictures suggest! We chose a weekend that coincided with the tasting menu and Sunday lunch and would highly recommend both. The produce was local and lots from their stunning garden. The breakfasts were superb featuring fresh rhubarb from the garden and best pastry ever tried! Everyone was friendly and helpful and our dog was made to feel very welcome too! Enjoyed two local pubs called blacksmith’s arms and farmer’s arms on our other 2 evenings - both great. Enjoyed a long hike up from the hidden duddon valley which was a lovely quiet route to Dow Crag and coniston old man (only downside was the 30 min drive to our starting point). Local nice walks from the cottage included heathwaite fell and duddon sands.

Emma's Tiny House hot tub views

TomRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Lovely few nights at Emma’s Tiny Home! Listening to the close-by farm animals and the birds in the trees was beautiful first thing in the morning and just before nightfall. We were so lucky to be awoken by some fighter jets and they came over a few times during our stay which was brilliant to watch and listen to! Beautiful scenery surrounded the tiny home, a place I’d highly recommend to anyone! Perfect!

Farmhouse with views, hot tub, sauna & games room.

CarolynRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The house was so beautiful and ticked every box. Scenery, peace and quiet, lots of space to celebrate with friends. Kitchen well equipped we wanted for nothing. We loved the sauna and outside jacuzzi and a beautiful dining room to dine. The house was immaculate and beds so comfortable. Would visit again in a heart beat. Thanks Mark for being very attentive to our questions and allowing us to enjoy your beautiful house ☺️

Haven Lodge, peaceful setting with hot tub & views

CraigRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We have just had the most amazing few days at this cottage. Could not have asked for any better. Maxine and her husband were so lovely and welcoming. The place is beautiful and the photos really don’t do it justice. The views are insane and the area is really lovely, just short drives to explore other towns and the lakes. Thank you so much, we will definitely be back!
A gently flowing stream is visible, surrounded by moss-covered rocks and lush greenery. Sunlight filters through the tree branches, casting a dappled light on the water's surface, creating a serene, natural setting.

Woodburn Cottage

AnnabelRating, 5 stars9 months ago
lovely cosy cottage, the weather was not kind to us this weekend and it was great to be able to head back to the cottage, have tea and snuggle in front if the fire to dry off and warm up! Host John was at the property to meet us when we arrived, he was pottering in the garden which was such a great welcome. Milk and bottle of wine in the fridge was a lovely touch too. Had the weather been nicer the garden looked great for sitting in for a morning coffee. Perfect location for visiting my dad this weekend. thank you for letting us stay in your cottage.
