what a beautiful home in a special location, we got so lucky withtl the weather which made the trip even better , it was the perfect family spot , the kids loved spending time on the beach and by the park... not to mention the local ice cream spot. The house was perfect with little special touches and was easy to access and essentials made life easier. We miss waking up beside the beach already and the peaceful sunsets.

A real find this place, beautiful surroundings fight next to the old harbour and a couple of doors up from the Steam Packet Inn with it's excellent food and micro brewery. Quirkily decorated with an added bonus of a games room made this really stand out. If I had to make a very minor point there was no microwave however we coped very well without. We shall definitely book again to the Smugglers for another short break again very soon.

What a gem. We had a fabulous time. It was quiet and relaxing with lots of birds and bunnies. It was well stocked with everything you need. The bed was small but comfy. Great large shower. Very enjoyable week. Watching the tide come in was awesome as we're the beach walks.

My friends and I stayed at Cathy's place, the home is actually nicer than the pictures suggested, big table for dining and plenty of places to gather in the house. Plenty space for parking but be aware the road in is single track and narrow. Good location a short walk away from local cafe and pubs.

We really enjoyed our stay, the house was clean & spacious and perfect for our family of four. We especially enjoyed the view from the loft room and the balcony area.

Great surroundings and a lovely house, just what we needed. Very clean and very well kitted out. Great spot. Very long bumpy lane to get to though. Nice beach location and close drive to the lovely gatehouse of fleet with lovely food spots and lots of walks nearby. Thanks for a great 2 nights stay would definitely have stayed longer.

Exactly what we needed. The garden was perfect for our 2 dogs. Lovely view over the golf course with the criffel beyond and a minute from the beach. Some very lovely touches left - tea, coffee, biscuits, wine in the fridge and ice in the freezer! The over enthusiastic spaniel popped the football which I assumed was there for their entertainment but we replaced it anyway - just incase!! Lots of games, jigsaws etc so check the draws. Great family place - we booked for our next stay while enjoying this stay! Look out for deer crossing the golf course in the early morning and the bunnies bouncing around. Be back next year.

Tower Lodge is a unique place to stay. Poppy had put fresh flowers in every room which was lovely. The sitting room is beautifully furnished and comfortable. The bedroom has the most amazing view out to Heston Island. The spiral staircase that joins all the rooms provides fabulous views through the tiny window and gets you fit. The area is quite magical with great walking around deserted peninsulas with fabulous wildlife to see.

Loved staying here, such a lovely spot and great caravan. The view was brilliant and all the little touches made it feel like home From home. Thank you so much for letting us stay last minute.

Seasalt cottage is a very characterful, peaceful place with a sea view from the bedroom. It’s a perfect space for a couple. The host left little extras and messages to start off our stay and we felt very welcomed and looked after. It was a great location for visiting the Lake District and enjoying coastal walks. I would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a little serenity at an affordable cost!

What an amazing experience. Communication was fast, accurate and informative. The space was equipped to a very high standard with all you could ever need. The beds were amazing, comfortable with crisp white bedsing. 2 bathrooms were well designed. The garden is gorgeous and the local area has, possibly, some of the best views ive ever seen. Woke up refreshed to birdsong every morning. The welcome pack was generous and appreciated We'll be back!

Our experience at this property in Scotland was wonderful from start to finish. The booking process was straightforward, and our reservation was confirmed almost immediately, making everything effortless. Arriving at the property, however, turned into quite an adventure. We arrived in the evening amid heavy rain, with visibility low, and had to navigate a few remaining potholes along the way (though most had been filled in). Thankfully, we managed to find the key safe, unload our luggage, and settle in for the night. The next morning was a completely different scene. We woke up to clear skies and stunning views across the bay from both the bedroom and the lounge—it was breathtaking. Our first instinct was to get dressed and head straight to the beach for a morning walk, which was the perfect way to start the day. Inside, the house is beautifully decorated and immaculately clean, with attention to detail everywhere. Premium shower gels were stocked in the bathrooms—a thoughtful touch

Great house with amazing views over the coast. The house is very clean and tidy, and has all the cooking equipment required for self catering. There is also an lovely garden with outdoor furniture. Auchencairn is a nice village with excellent coastal and hill walks, as well as a very useful shop/cafe.

The host Wilma, was outstanding, friendly, amenable, and very responsive. The cottage is spectacular, with stunning views of the beach and beyond, and it's lovely to have the views of the clear night sky. The property is very well equipped and has everything you need for your stay. It offers all the comforts for a fantastic holiday. Highly recommended

We found this house by Amanda on Airbnb at St. Beach, and it truly made our vacation this year unforgettable. It's definitely much better than the pictures and description suggest. A peaceful, small, and clean house, just a two-minute walk from the beach, with lush green hills and a restaurant for breakfast right in front. Just an hour's drive to many other Lake District towns.
