We had a positively amazing stay with Mona and Charles. A true gem. This is the place you will long to return. We arrived to a warm welcome from Mona who prepared fresh baked scones for us and fresh cut flowers in our room. The accommodation was very well stocked with fresh eggs, oats, granola, cold water, beer, soda, milk, a plethora of snacks, a loaf of fresh baked bread and 2 slices of carrot cake. The kitchen well stocked and in good working order if you want to prepare food. The beds are comfortable. The bathroom clean and well stocked with good shower pressure and enough hot water for 2 people. The host is mindful of the environment which we appreciated. The surroundings are so peaceful. We enjoyed playing with Addie and Bingo, their 2 lovely dogs, wandering the property and visiting the horses which roam free and were very friendly. The location is great and about a 25 minute drive to Slieve League, 30 minute to Silver Strand beach and 10 to Fintra. HIGHLY recommend this place .

We are always looking for what we refer to as secluded rural isolation. Emer's place more than fits the bill! The traditional cottage has been tastefully restored and has wonderful underfloor heating. We loved lounging in the hot tub and exploring the area.

The location is incredible, as beachfront as you can get, and a stunning little cove at that, ideal for the kids. The house is cosy and comfortable and everything was easy and friendly. We'd definitely go back and stay longer.

The place is perfect. Central to the town and things to do in the area. We did hear from niamh upon check in and she did check to see if we were warm enough in the house. Very thoughtful. We had hoped to use the laundry facility (part of the reason for booking) but did not hear anything back when the washing machine stopped working after one small load of clothes. The batteries in the smoke detectors did need to be replaced, Niamh has said she would be there to replace them the second day, but after our initial communications I did not hear back from her again (about either the smoke detectors or the use of the washing machine.) The location gives you a lot of options to explore the town and the surrounding area. The house is comfortable, great seating in the living room for relaxing. Comfy beds There is some street noise, but it seems to quiet down by 10 or so. We had a great stay. Luckily, we didn’t have anything catastrophic happen- so communication wasn’t essential.

Randal’s Island Hill House was absolutely lovely. The photos and description were spot on. It is a wonderful property because there are spaces to congregate but also have some peaceful alone time. The house is well-equipped with a spectacular picnic bench area overlooking Fintra Beach. I can’t say enough about how great this was for celebrating my husband’s 61st birthday with a few of his Irish family members. The only bad thing I can say is that our visit was too short. Two nights was great but four or five would have been perfect!
