Staying at this incredible wooden cottage on Koggala Lake was an absolute dream. From the moment we arrived, the host made us feel incredibly welcome and at home — their warmth and hospitality truly set the tone for the entire stay. A special shoutout to Yohan, whose help and attentiveness were simply amazing and made everything even more seamless. The cottage itself is beautifully constructed, giving off a fantastic homely vibe with stunning views of the lake. The team even torched the gardens for us in the evening, creating a magical, serene atmosphere. The pool was always clean, inviting, and accessible — a perfect spot to unwind whenever we wanted. All our basic needs were thoughtfully and thoroughly taken care of, making the entire experience completely stress-free. If you’re looking for a perfect blend of comfort, nature, and genuine hospitality, this place is an absolute gem. Can’t recommend it enough!

Wow just wow! From the moment we made contact with Eranga we were so well looked after. Even before we got to the wonderful house we were had our transport organised to take our family of 5 from Colombo Airport to the AirBNB we were then helped with settling in and greeted with coconuts. Whether it was hire cars, recommendations for activities such as releasing baby turtles into the ocean Eranga was our guy! The house itself has everything you need and is spacious clean and tidy thanks to daily visits from lovely helpers around the house and garden. Air Conditioning is amazing and works really well. The ocean is steps away from the house which is situated in a surfers area. Make sure you visit the Sandbank restaurant for well priced food, music and Thursday night ping pong tournament. Peacocks running in the garden and the friendliest dog ever. We loved this place and would return in a heartbeat! Thank you for making our Sri Lanka trip so memorable. Just amazing!

Everything was perfect!

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely house in Mirissa! The home was very clean and comfortable, with excellent air conditioning in the bedrooms to escape the heat. The living areas were cooled by ceiling fans, and the windows in the stairwell were open to the outside. The hosts were incredibly attentive—each morning they came to prepare a delicious breakfast for us. There was also the option to have our rooms cleaned daily, which was a nice touch. The pool, while small, was perfect for cooling off and the kids absolutely loved it. It made a great spot to relax after a day out exploring. There are a couple of fantastic local restaurants within walking distance, which made dining out easy and enjoyable. Accessing the beach was a bit tricky as you need to walk through private properties, but that seems to be common along this part of the coast. Overall, a relaxing and well-hosted stay—highly recommended!

We had the best time at the villa. The minute we entered we were in awe of the place. It actually looked better than the pictures. We were a bunch of girls and skeptical about the safety as it was a new country but Binara made us feel right at home. There was periodical cleaning at the villa with a caretaker always at the property. The pool was always maintained clean and the team maintained privacy as well. Binara was always helpful and responsive. The location is bang on as well. Walkable to beach and 5 mins to all the famous cafes like Kai, cactus etc. couldn’t have asked for a better place to live in SriLanka. Highly recommend this place- be it with you family or friends.

A beautiful and tastefully decorated home, well maintained by a wonderful live in property manager named Jeem, who prepares the most amazing breakfast ! A perfectly restful vibe for the 6 of us to chill at the end of our vacation . . . And walking distance to all the fabulous restaurant recommendations and beach ! We just loved it !!!

Anjalee's villa was spectacular, well thought out and immaculate. The landscaping was surreal! The villa came with very kind and attentive staff members and the adorable Mari the dog. Highly recommended and one of the best Airbnb's I have stayed in, without a doubt!

Overall we had a great experience, was there for my bachelorette and the staff really put up with us. Only complaints- a few of the lights and fans were not working and were not fixed. We were definitely given tap water, one of the can was filled with tap water, I’m assuming they ran out of water in the night and one of the staff had no choice but to serve us that. Would still give the stay a 5 star review was the host was kind enough to help with local recommendations and the staff was there to help whenever asked.

Stella Beach House was the perfect getaway for my family and me. The location is absolutely stunning, with an array of excellent restaurants nearby. The house itself was impeccably clean, and we thoroughly enjoyed the amazing pool. From the very beginning to the end of our stay, Amit, Chaminda, and their team were incredibly helpful with everything we needed. They prepared delicious meals for us almost every day, which truly enhanced our experience. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend Stella Beach Villas to anyone planning a vacation in Sri Lanka. It's a wonderful destination for everyone looking to relax and enjoy a beautiful getaway.

Just... wow! We felt truely blessed with the opportunity to stay here. The pictures really don't do the view and villa justice, it's a really remarkable find and absolutely stay here if you get the chance. Sonali and her family are wonderful people, who really made the stay. Sonali's cooking was wonderful, lots of dishes each evening that were so tasty and taking the time to go through the menu with us is really thoughtful and made sure we enjoyed everything. Lesley and Ken have truely thought of everything, there's not a single thing missing and nothing to be improved on. We went out easily on tuk tuks to visit surrounding areas, only to return to absolute bliss with a dip in the warm infinity pool. We even took a little boat ride around the lake from the dock at the end of the garden that Sonali organised for us. This place is a true gem, and we felt so lucky to be able to stay here - just try and stop us visting again!

His presence made everything smooth and enjoyable. The Dragonfly Villa exceeded all expectations. Every person we encountered went out of their way to make our family trip very special. We had the most amazing stay at Elspeth Villa in Ahangama! The villa itself is absolutely stunning – beautifully designed, serene, and surrounded by lush greenery. Every corner feels thoughtfully curated, and you can truly feel the care that went into creating such a peaceful space. Elspeth was a wonderful host, super responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Our stay at Wigis villa was wonderful. The villa itself is located in a perfect spot allowing you immediate access to the beach as well as the Main Street with all its cafes, shops and restaurants, on the other side. The villa is a haven of tranquility, in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the town. Inside, the house is fully equipped and very well kept. The garden was beautiful and our children had many hours of fun in the lovely pool. Lastly what really made it great was the excellent team on hand. The team prepared beautiful breakfasts each day, together with lunch and dinners on request. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We hope to be back!

Cecile has a dream place for any family to stay. From the location to the great staff, everything felt like home away from home. The great view, large pool, and staff who cooked tasty food contributed to this. If you love local Sri Lankan food, Manjula provides the best. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to any family who wants a peaceful view of Sri Lanka with the best amenities and a great staff to take care of them.

Fantastic stay at Talaramba Reef! We had a large family gathering for 3 nights (9 adults and 5 children) and booked both villas. The villas were beautiful, thoughtfully decorated, very comfortable, with lovely and immaculately kept grounds. The place was very spacious and it felt very relaxing, and the pools were very pleasant. Ranjith and his team were incredible. They were kind, friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a memorable stay, including helping to organize a party and putting up a lovely banner. The food was also exceptional and great value for money. We cannot recommend this place enough!

We had a great time at this beautiful villa. It’s absolutely stunning and well located to the heart of Ahangama. Tim was extremely helpful and responsive. The staff were not overhearing and left us to get on with things. The breakfasts were delicious and portions generous. One morning we had the Sri Lankan breakfast and the next the international breakfast with delicious butter milk pancakes. Dinner was also great and the chef worked hard to provide a variety as everyone ordered something different. Thanks Gamunu and co we enjoyed our time at the villa.

Surrounded by beautiful trees, lush vegetation and fascinating widlife, this place is the ideal spot for a relaxed, tranquil getaway. We had very poor weather while we were here so didn't get to enjoy the outside space as much as we could have. The best part about this place is Manoj and his team that run the place, we had beautiful cooked breakfasts and seafood lunches while we were here, and Manoj helped us with shopping, transportation around the local area and our ongoing transfer to Colombo. The owner also deserves credit, for being so approachable, easy to contact and proactive in resolving issues.

We spent four days at Villa Sõmar and are completely satisfied. The villa is spacious, very clean and exactly as described. In the morning, there is a delicious breakfast served by two very nice employees. The Sri Lankan banana pancakes are highly recommended. Furthermore, before arrival you get a very detailed message in which, among other things, there are many restaurant recommendations, beaches nearby and even numbers of two tuk tuk drivers. The location is fine and you can reach everything by tuk tuk or scooter. All in all, we enjoyed our stay very much and would come back any time.

Our stay was wonderful! We went for a short vacation for my birthday. Me and my friends had a great time here. The property was so calming and peaceful. The place was more than true to the photos. It was beautiful to the naked eye. A highlight of our trip is that the staff were so kind and service was excellent. We definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a getaway and wants to be immersed in nature.

FireMoonGarden is not just a villa, but a whole experience. And I'm sure you won't find anything better around Mirissa. Staying here ended up being one of the highlights of our Sri Lanka trip. Absolutely flawless. I would highly recommend staying here if you're looking for something a little more special.

Ben was quite responsive and had proper recommendations of places to visit and eat during our stay. Roshan , the manager there was quite helpful , he set us up with scooter , cleaned the pool regularly , was always there if we needed anything. The location of the air bnb was perfect and it looked exactly like the pictures. Overall 10/10 stay

We (family of 5 with 3 young kids) loved our stay at Helios. Ashley has designed the place beautifully and the interior design is very cool. The garden and pool area was heavenly with so much wildlife (monkeys, lizards, birds and we even saw a mongoose in the garden!). It was easy to get lost in time watching the monkeys swinging around in the trees and jumping on the roof. We loved the outdoor bathrooms. The team were very helpful and responsive and Lalani made a great breakfast. The location is great, near to a superb coffee shop and cafe (The Kip) and back from the main road in Ahangama (which is extremely hectic especially with young children), so it was a bonus to be set back from there. We loved our stay and made lots of great family memories. Thanks Ashley and team, we’d definitely recommend!
