Cabin vacation rentals in Jamaica

Overall, I was very happy with my stay. Elvis is a great host and did so much for us while we were there. It felt like having our own personal guide & cook the whole time we were there. Elvis gave us recommendations of places to go, cooked authentic food for our whole group twice a day (7 people), and took us around Negril to the beach & supermarket when we needed. Seriously, he's really great and elevated this AirBnb from mediocre to amazing. The accommodations themselves are pretty basic (no hot water, no AC, yes fridge, yes fan), but they're roomy and don't have any glaring problems. The only thing I disliked was the loud bar across the street, but even they were willing to turn off the music at a reasonable hour most nights. Also there are some annoying roosters in the neighborhood that make noise early in the morning, but what can you do. It's still Jamaica haha. You can walk 5 minutes to catch a taxi or have Elvis take you places in Negril.

I was in Jamaica to see a friend read from his new book at the Calabash Literary Festival, which was amazing -- so it was the most delightful surprise to have a second, equally amazing experience staying at the Windmill Cottages. It's hard to describe how beautiful the place is -- all the greenery, the cool mountain air, the lovely cabin that makes you feel like you're in the middle of a grand adventure. But the standout was Grace and family's warmth and hospitality. Do yourself a favor and join in for a few meals at that table in the garden. I am still thinking about one of the best breakfasts (Jamaican style) I've had while traveling, and the stimulating conversation that went with it.

We have been coming to Jamaica for 27 years. We finally made it to the Blue Mountains and it did not disappoint. The combination of Cottage Blu and the delightful host, Jah Hope, made for a great stay. The views were great from the cabin and on the hike through the farmland. Jah Hope educated us along the way regarding the fruit trees and farming processes. We spent 3-4 hours lounging in the river and enjoying some Red Stripes followed by a home cooked curry chicken feast with callaloo. Sleeping to the sounds of the river, insects, birds, and frogs was therapeutic. We were able to fit in an informative coffee farm tour at Devon's on the way out of the mountains. Make sure to take food and drinks as there is limited availability of shops. Looking forward to a return trip.

It is everything we hoped for, and more. Access to everything. We had a car so we didn't experience the very frequent taxi opportunities down to the beach. We loved the pool and the peace and the trees and all of the sounds, music playing til late from other venues nearby, we were nestled within it all in a beautiful tropical mini paradise. And we were looked after by Elaine and Alicia, thank you ladies! Lovely time all round!

Everything was amazing! Cleveland and Janet are outstanding hosts, both very friendly and genuine people. Cleveland offers rides for a very reasonable fees and had great suggestions for things to do in the area. The area is gorgeous and as a solo female traveller I can’t recommend this area enough in terms of safety. The locals are chatty but always kind. This is totally beyond the hosts control but the area isn’t super quiet at night with bars playing music until around 11 to midnight and animals in the area, so if you’re a light sleeper I’d suggest earplugs :) overall it didn’t have a negative impact on my stay because it just felt like part of the flavour of the area. The value was amazing, the cabin is simple, clean, and beautiful, it’s a perfect spot for those looking to slow down and to get to know a beautiful part of Jamaica with a vibrant culture.

Great view, beautiful scenery of tropical landscape. spacious and nice wooden Chalet. kitchen had all necessary needs for guests. I enjoyed my peaceful stay.

We travelled for our anniversary and safe to say that we were truly spoilt! The accommodation and hospitality was above and beyond. They were very helpful with recommendations of activities to do as well as booking them including a taxi service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning!

We’re return guests at Oneil’s and recommend this spot for anyone who enjoys a natural rustic setting that is still close to everything in Port Antonio!

This was a great spot to stay in . A little far from “ central “ area but it’s easy to call a uber - they arrive quickly and it’s safe . The kitchen was beautiful and everything very cozy and comfortable . Bigs the assistant was very nice as well .My only issue was with the driver that was referred for the airport and I can’t blame them for that.

A memorizing experience staying at Rahfyah's place! Here is where you become one with nature. Absolutely beautiful. Great host, positive and kind.

The accommodation is incredible, place, everything very prepared to receive a family of 3 a fully equipped kitchen really nothing to say I would definitely go back to Jamaica 🇯🇲 and stay here the reception girl is very kind and strives to explain to us in English is really everything we need here

We stayed 8 days in this cabon and had sooooo re best time! France was our host....always willing to do anything and always willing to go above and beyond! Ideal for those who don't like 'the resort places'.....who have everything and are willing to go back to almost nothing.......Ocean in front of the cabin with such a nice beach..... Not suitable for the traveller on a budget since everything is so expensive..... Will start saving money now so that soon we can return!

Initially we had trouble finding the location however Denise was very responsive with a wonderful and positive energy. With her help as well as the help of locals in the area we were able to find it no problem. Check in was smooth, the host as well as the helper on site Craig was super super friendly and helpful. We were greeted with fresh coconut water and jelly and was encouraged to help ourselves to the Jamaican apple tree right on the property. The cabin was spacious and beautiful, with gorgeous views of Portland both day and night. This cabin definitely made my boyfriend and I fall in love with Portland, we initially planned to stay one night but booked an additional night just to enjoy the nature and views a little longer. We even woke up at 5am to enjoy the view of the sunrise from our veranda. This will definitely be our go to spot in Portland now, we felt right at home! I have no complaints and can’t wait to be back soon.

Kiara was represented by Radicia and Renaldo. We were picked up privately and driven to our excursion destinations. Punctual and incredibly friendly. We were cooked for superbly and with variety and learned a lot about the country and people. Fantastic stay.

This place is astonishingly beautiful. Driving up the hill, it is hard to imagine what awaits you. A 180 degree view of the sea, surrounded by the lush Jamaican landscape, filled with birdsong and a gentle breeze. It is hard to capture in words or photos. The food, much of which is prepared from produce grown on the property, is extraordinary. But it is not just the view or the landscape or the food. Shirley is an amazing host. Her genuine and generous spirit is obvious from the moment you meet her through to the moment you leave. Many places aim to promote wellness but in reality seem to use it as a marketing tool. This is the kind of place that inspired the term. I feel immensely grateful to have been able to stay here. And I hope to come again soon.

Wonderfully simple! Hosts were very responsive, location was superb, and a fan was more than adequate to sleep comfortably. If you want to feel off the grid but still be able to charge your phone, this is your spot.

We enjoyed our stay at the Seawave Cabins. Claudine is always there if you need anything and would try to help out wherever she can. We felt very welcome and had a great time. There is a small rooftop bar where you could get some drinks. The hut itself is cute, cozy, rustic and nested on the hillside. Small walk (less than 2 minutes) down to the beautiful white sand beach. There are a couple of bars and restaurants in walking distance. The locals are super nice and helpful as well. From the accommodation you can reach multiple attractions in the area like Reach Falls, make sure to get a local guide to walk through the river and swim in the beautiful pools! Ask for Nazz! We would recommend Claudines stay for everybody who is not shy and a bit adventurous. We had a great time and would definitely come back! Thanks Claudine & David!
