Monthly Rentals in Jala

If waking up in the morning to soft ringings of goat bells and crooning of roosters is to your liking, this is the place. If sipping a cup of morning coffee in a large shaded balcony overlooking the cyan-hued beach is your thing, this place is definitely for you. If feeling the mountain breezes in your hair while reading a book in a swing, this is a right place for you. It’s remote enough to be utterly dark at night but the town is 10-13 minutes away by car, and a serviceable grocery store, as well as beautiful beach, are 15-minutes away on foot. I took a taxi from the town center (in front of “big market”). Unlike some other lodgings nearby which were more or less makeshift structures, this apartment is very put together: a gate to the big front yard with olive trees and a front door canopied by bougainvillea and grape vines. Plus the father and son host team is courteous and kind. I recommend this place to those who seek solace and tranquility.

I had a wonderful stay at this spacious place! The house is very spacious and well air-conditioned. A real highlight is the large garden with orange trees and a cozy seating area. The garden is completely walled and thus offers a lot of privacy. It is also practical that you can park directly in the garden. Many things can be reached on foot in a short time, so the car can often simply stay parked. Overall, the accommodation even exceeded my expectations. I would come back anytime!

There’s so much I’d like to say! :) If you’re coming to Himara, you should definitely stay here. At first, the location might seem a bit far from the center, but Himara is a very spread-out and mountainous area. The town center is quite small, and staying there usually means being in a noisy and crowded area. This place, on the other hand, is peaceful and still very close to the center and the beach by car. We only stayed for one night, but this was the most enjoyable place during our entire trip in Albania. Thank you so much for the rakia, limoncello, local pie and all the other lovely treats – everything was offered with such genuine warmth, which meant a lot to us. I also really enjoyed our conversations and learned many new things. I’m not even going to start praising the cleanliness – everything was spotless, well-organized and perfect. And the filter coffee was a real lifesaver! I might come back to Himara just to stay here again! :)

The apartment was really very nice and even better than in the pictures. The view was fantastic and the location extremely quiet, just as we had hoped. If you have a car, you can get to all parts of the small town super fast. Bruna was a very friendly and helpful host and always quickly accessible. Definitely a recommendation overall.
