Steps to Lake Fun: Dock, Fire Pit, Kayaks

AndreaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a wonderful weekend at this beautiful lakeside cottage! My husband and I stayed here with three of our adult children, their spouses, and our grandchildren, and everything exceeded our expectations. The house was incredibly well-equipped with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable and relaxing family getaway. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. The cottage was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully stocked—from the kitchen essentials to cozy bedding and everything in between. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy, yet the common areas were perfect for gathering, sharing meals, and making memories together. The location on the lake offered a peaceful view and opportunities for fun. tThe grandkids fished all day, we cooked out for dinner and we ended the evening with a wonderful fire at the fire pit provided, every moment felt special. We’re so grateful for such a seamless and enjoyable experience and will definitely be returning!

Escape to Up North and Experience Lake Living

JamesRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Had a great stay, was very convenient to have the golf course blocks away and use of a private dock. This allowed us to pack multiple activities into each day. The home was in great shape and the outside space perfect!

Lakehouse on Lillian Boat incl - 15 min from Tawas

ShorlandaRating, 5 stars5 months ago
I surprised my husband with this holiday cabin/cottage on the lake getaway. He loved it!..and so did I. With GPS...the home was easy to find...even in the evening time, after dark. The home is warm and cozy. Loved the cabin decor. Love that all the rooms are on one level ( except for the mud room...just one step off the kitchen). We enjoyed sitting out on the 3 season porch drinking coffee in the mornings. Just keep in mind if you're traveling in the winter months, the porch is not heated. We just kept the door off of the living room open so that the heat would circulate. With our robes on and our hot cup of coffee, we did just fine. The views of the lake was awesome once the snow melted. The kitchen was fully stock with appliances, seasonings and spices. Slept like a baby on the queen size bed. Ample amount of clean linens. Bathroom nice and clean. Nice restaurants and pizza spots around town. Dog friendly! Would love to visit again in the summer months. 100 STARS ✨!

HaleHideawayHub- Summer fun, State Parks & Lakes

FionaRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Kelsey’s place was a lifesaver. My friend and I and her anxious dog had driven from Florida as she had bought a new house in Hale. When we got there it was nowhere near finished and it came as a bit of a shock! I started searching for an air bnb close by and was amazed to find Kelsey’s house. It was already the afternoon. But she said of course just give me a couple of hours to prepare. It was absolutely ideal for us and only 4 minutes drive from my friends house. Plus a small deck area at the back to relax with a drink and checkout the wildlife and birds. There is a diner very close by along with a couple of shops and the local bar. It was beautifully quiet and all our stressed vanished. All facilities were good and Kelsey responded almost immediately to any queries. Long Lake very close. Thank you Kelsey for being our lifesaver. Gill, Fiona and Riley the retriever.

The house was very nice, would definitely love to stay again. We are up a few times a year to see our kids and grandkids and was very nice to have our own place to visit with them. Jared was very responsive with any questions we had for him. I would highly recommend “Little Island Escape “

Geraldine's place was well stocked, very clean, great communications, the place was as described, great view of the Lake, this was the best place we have stayed in the area in the past 3 years. We are hoping to return later this summer and rent Geraldine's place again. The neighbors were friendly. We felt safe.

Gg’s getaway cabin

MistyRating, 5 stars11 months ago
The best way to describe this cabin is Grandma’s house ❤️ So cute and so cozy! Ceiling fans and windows that open for a nice cross breeze. The location is great. Quiet and calming. But also, close enough to walk to the lake or drive to the beach. A perfect place to just get away! The hostess was super! Very quick to respond & so kind. I will definitely keep this place in mind when coming back to the area!

We enjoyed our stay at Joe's place. He was easy to communicate with and was helpful. The furniture was very comfortable. The Sunporch was so nice, and we could see the water and hear the waves. We enjoyed walking on the beach and swimming. The location was perfect! Thank you Joe!

Cozy Small Cabin just a 2 minute walk 2 Lake Huron

AndrewRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Very nice cottage. Extremely clean and well kept and the owners communicate very well. It's a private location but pretty close to US-23. The walk to Lake Huron is inconsequential. If you are looking for a nice, private, northern cottage very close to sandy Lake Huron, this place is highly recommended. All rentals are expensive in this area during the short Michigan summer, but this is a pretty good deal with very good owners.

The Cabin

CathieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This place was perfect for our family gathering. We only wish we had more time to enjoy the lake, the fire pit the boat. The house is well appointed and pics don’t do it justice. The open loft had 2 queens, a twin, a twin bunk bed with a mattress (trundle) under it we used for the littlest family member and a futon. Each area had thoughtfully placed light switches (could turn off or on from beds) and outlets for chargers etc. there were beautiful details like the pine ceiling and triangle keylight windows that provided a view of the lake to the loft. Plenty of chairs outside. Big outdoor table too. Just great. Could have stayed longer if our schedule had permitted. And affordable for us. So great.
A peaceful path bordered by trees leads to a view of the lake. A red barrier is situated at the entrance, with a sign visible nearby. Outdoor seating is provided in the background, offering a serene spot to enjoy the water.

Cheerful cottage with 4 private beach accesses!!!!

MarandaRating, 5 stars9 months ago
loved this cozy cabin, beautiful surroundings. Linens were fresh and smelled amazing. Cleaned pristine. Perfectly as described. Even provided small amount of firewood for a fire which was a nice added bonus! Next time we stay I will bring my dvd player, as television viewing was limited with the Roku. Thank you for the wonderful stay! We will be back

Glen's Tawas Lake Home, Dogs OK, WWII display

GregRating, 5 stars4 months ago
The house was in a nice, quiet location which I enjoyed. The area looked like it would be a nice place to walk around, but unfortunately I stayed during the coldest part of the winter season so I wasn't up for bein outside when the real feel was below zero. The location was convenient, and the house had everything I needed. The one time I had a minor issue with the TV, Greg was responsive and provided guidance on how to solve the problem. Overall, this was a good stay, and I would recommend anyone to try it out.
A stunning sunset over Loon Lake is captured, reflecting vibrant colors across the water's surface. Silhouettes of birch trees frame the scene, while the calm shoreline includes a shed and a rowboat. The tranquil atmosphere is enhanced by the surrounding natural beauty.

Living Life at Loon Lake

AmyRating, 5 stars10 months ago
We had a wonderful time at Loon Lake. The cabin, lake and the surrounding areas were perfect. We had fun swimming, fishing, kayaking, taking walks down the dirt road and enjoying the beautiful sunsets. Melissa was a great host and replied quickly to any questions that we had. I look forward to stay at Loon Lake again. I would recommend this place to my family and friends. One thing that I recommend is to bring your water shoes because there are some zebra muscles around the dock, but otherwise it is nice and sandy.
An aerial view reveals a sandy beach that curves along the shoreline of Lake Huron, showcasing gentle waves lapping against the shore. Lush greenery borders the beach, with scattered beachgoers enjoying the expansive outdoor space on a sunny day.
