Vacation rentals with breakfast in Independence

This was the perfect stay for our family. Our kids loved the play room and the air hockey table, so much so that over a weekend of fun activities, my daughter said that having her "new bedroom" was her favorite part of the weekend. The house was in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood and we enjoyed breakfast on the front porch listening to the birds chirping. Janet was attentive and proactive--she was very thoughtful of the kids and offered amenities to help them feel comfortable. Her home was clean and comfortable. We hope to stay here again!

We had a lovely, though short stay. Debbie was very welcoming and flexible with our schedule. She was also very accommodating of our needs. She provided us with some fabulous muffins the morning of our early departure. I do hope to stay here again in the future to attend events in KC area.

Beautiful home right down the street from great shopping and dining. Highly recommended Naomi Rose Boutique and Tin Kitchen BBQ. 3 bedroom home was just what we needed.

Janet is an amazing host. She made me feel right at home and was very friendly. She even offered me pizza and invited me on the back deck for coffee while she watered her plants. There were so many singing birds out back in the morning and she is located within walking distance to a pond or lake. I didn’t take the time to visit but I’m sure it would be a peaceful experience. Janet is invested in ensuring her guests feel welcome and enjoy the time they spend in her home.

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the castle’s stunning architecture and meticulous attention to detail. Communication was prompt and thoughtful, and it was clear they truly care about creating a special experience for their guests. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the kitchen was fully stocked for cooking, and the little surprises around every corner added to the magic of the place. Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway, a unique family trip, or a once-in-a-lifetime stay with friends, the KC Castle is a dream come true. We made memories here that we’ll cherish forever and can’t wait to return. Five stars aren’t enough—this place is a gem!

Adam is an excellent host. He was immediately available whenever I had questions. Note that the laundry is in a basement with a separate entrance that’s not attached the house but otherwise the place is great!

Anne was a wonderful host and the place was amazing and beautiful!! She was helpful recommending places to eat nearby and was very accommodating. Would love to stay again and absolutely refreshed!!

Excellent place to spend the night on our travels through and around Kansas City, but could also have been an excellent place for multiple nights! The best things about Roy and Candy’s place were the very well-stocked and spacious kitchen, and the close proximity to the historic Liberty Square which we enjoyed walking to and around. The chalkboard in the kitchen for messages from guests was a brilliant touch! Thank you!

Emma and Chin’s place was great just what we were looking for. We enjoyed visiting our friends in Leavenworth and the Airbnb made the experience even better. Their home is so cute and comfortable perfect for our family! They were so accommodating and responsive to any issue that came up. So many thoughtful details and touches. I am definitely going to stay here again when I come back to Leavenworth!

What a wonderful place to stay!! Location could not be more perfect and the apartment was incredibly cool! So many great touches! Very clean, creative, fun and practical decor. Every last touch is so well thought of. The blueberry muffins in the morning were the sweetest touch! We would absolutely stay here again!

I would start by saying do not let the outside deter you from staying there. I was skeptical at first but once you enter your room it’s a good experience. The room was clean and I enjoyed my stay there. The host communicated with me to ensure they had a good understanding of my timeline and potential extended.

The place was amazing and Melissa was helpful and great with communication! The location can’t be beat and the place was clean and inviting. The beds were comfortable and everything was thoughtfully prepared for guests!

This property worked very well for our family. We had 11 people stay here and we had plenty of room. We had a great time with the fire pit and the kids really enjoyed the yard games. We were able to use Marietta’s grill to have a nice cook out. We really enjoyed watching the Olympics together as a family in living room TV area. We really appreciated the breakfast foods provided for us which included bagels, English muffins, cinnamon bread and all kinds of fruit. Very nice! Great family experience and memories!

Great place that's pet friendly. The apartment was as described with everything we needed. There are neighbors but we never heard a peep from them; very quiet and respectful. Some of the neighbors do seem to be lacking adequate storage as their belongings are being stored outside causing some clutter around the building, but it was no problem and everyone was extremely friendly. We had a great stay with an easy check-in and enjoyed being left alone to relax and visit with friends & family. We hope to be back to Kansas City again soon, and will be looking forward to booking with this host again!!

We had a blast staying with Patricia!! She is an amazing host! She greeted us with tea and biscuits when we arrived and the next morning she served a multiple course breakfast. Her home is beautiful and cozy, complete with some sweet cats. This is a perfect place to stay for a girls weekend or an anniversary get-away. I will definitely book again!

We stayed here for our anniversary weekend, and we would highly recommend it. The space was comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. The location was a couple blocks from main street, so we didn't drive at all. We rode bikes and walked on the Weston Bluffs Trail. When it rained, we stayed in and watched movies. Thank you!

Brittney’s place was perfect. So nicely done, perfectly clean, and walkable to downtown. Brittney was very kind and hospitable. I would absolutely stay there again.

My husband and I really liked our stay. The room was clean and homey. Easy to find, get into the building and room, and quiet. We loved the weekend breakfast. It was delicious and beautifully set up. This is our first bed and breakfast and we would like to do it again. Response time was quick. Recommend this place.

It takes a special person to invite strangers into your home and make them feel right at home! I was grateful for the hospitality and warmth of the place and our host! It is a simple and peaceful place to stay and not too far from the city too! Breakfast that is served is delicious. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch with coffee and granola in the morning light! Would highly recommend!
