Relax and unwind in our beautiful cottage overlooking the Jan Durkspolder. Enjoy the nature and the quiet! With a private floor and completely unobstructed views, you have enough privacy! The cottage is modernly furnished and is equipped with luxurious box spring beds, rain shower and excellent wifi Nearby, it is beautiful cycling, walking or boating. We have canoes and bicycles available for rent. The cottage is located on a small recreational area with 5 cottages and space for 10 campers.

Our house on the Koggeplaet in Elahuizen has a beautiful unobstructed view over de Fluessen, with a lake terrace. Also there is a terrace on the harbor and a sheltered seating area! Our house is in the middle of the water sports area of Friesland. A beautiful place for boating, swimming, cycling, hiking or skating! And a golf course and the forest are also nearby! From July 4th to September 5th, we rent our house weekly (or several weeks). Arrival and departure day is Friday.

The center of Makkum is 5 minutes drive/30 minutes walk from the property. Forest Cabin is a cosy eco-cabin for 2 persons, situated at the edge of the forest on our green campsite. The double bed of this eco-cabin is made for you on arrival and towels and kitchen linen are ready for you. Every morning we bring a delicious fresh and extensive breakfast to your door, including fresh bread from the local bakery, organic yoghurt and cheese from the carefarm, various juices and many other good things.

It’s a stone throw away from the vibrant Cheesemarket and the bay window will provide you of an amazing view towards the medieval canals and the ‘Waag’ building, a national historic monument that’s located on Waagplein. Where you will also find the best local bars and restaurants. It’s close to several boutiques, restaurants and cafes can be found in the immediate vicinity.
