Sheepfold Barn

BeckyRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Our stay at the barn overall was great. The property itself was gorgeous. As described, warm and cosy. Great amenities and little touches. The hot tub was great with beautiful views, although it was super windy so was a little chilly with no cover! Only due to the time of year we visited. The only disappointment is the cot provision. It was detailed on the app that no linen was provided but I arranged through Airbnb and this was not made clear. This resulted in a 5.30pm mad dash round Penrith to try and source cot bedding, which was not easy as the cot was not standard size. I also would NOT recommend the travel cot as there’s no mattress (which is relatively normal) but you could feel every single slat under the cot and I don’t know how any baby could ever sleep on it. For the quality of the rest of the property this felt a real shame.

Hannah’s place is beautiful. It is really cozy, very clean and Hannah has thought about every detail. Hannah had fresh flowers in the windowsills, lovely bread and fudge waiting for us. Everything was perfect!

Riverside Rose Cottage, Pooley Bridge, Ullswater

BridgetRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a great stay and would love to return one day. We went as a family of 4 - with our 17 & 19 year old sons and all really enjoyed the holiday cottage. The stand out 'wow' is the beautiful garden that leads down to the river at the bottom....a very rare find. The cottage is in the heart of the village, so there's easy access to small shops and variety of pubs to eat in. We had mixed weather and so enjoyed local walks but were glad of the log burner and heating to warm up at the end of the day. There's still a beautiful view of the garden even if it's raining. The cottage was well equipped and homely - it was much lighter and brighter inside than we'd thought it would be. Great stay - Thank you.

Whitbarrow - Luxury Duplex views/pool/hot tub/gym

HollyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We really enjoyed our stay here at Whitbarrow. The apartment was lovely, with the special addition of the balcony overlooking the beautiful views, which we enjoyed with a cuppa or two. Our boys loved the toys and the drawing that was available to play with but, of course, their highlight was the pool. Local distance to Lowther, buttermere, Penrith, pooley Bridge, Keswick etc so lots to do. We’ll be back soon! 🙂

Garden Flat, Ullswater: Fabulous views and reviews

Hannah Rating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This place has beautiful views of Ullswater across the gardens day and night, a comfortable bed, suitably equipped kitchen area, and feels well located for exploring around the local area. We had a lovely few days here getting out in nature, and enjoyed a meal at the Inn on the lake in Glenrriding 15 mins away, and a Sunday dinner at the Brakenrigg pub at the bottom of the road. There’s waterfalls, walks and boat rides all within a short drive, and Matt got in touch via message and email prior to our stay, so we felt there would be communication if there was anything we needed.

Ullswater Suite, Lake District

Clare was a fantastic host! She was very thoughtful by providing essentials such as milk, butter, bread and jam which came in very handy! She was very friendly and provided us a space to stay that was very clean and homely. We loved how much there was to do as she had a great selection of books, DVD’s, music and board games to keep us entertained. Overall, it was a lovely place to stay and we would highly recommend it.
