Vacation rentals with a kayak in Hood Canal

A beautiful space. The hummingbirds were flitting amongst the bushes, while the crows were rearing their young in the giant trees. The hot tub lies beneath the vaulted cathedral ceiling of ancient douglas fir trees. The soaking experience is the literal meaning of a forest bath. The cool clear water of the sound was a welcome repite from the heat of the tub. Sitting in front of a bonfire we watched a purple Mt Rainier fade with the sunset as the full strawberry moon rose over the hills sucking the tide out beyond the view of the waning firelight. The night time low tide and its crisp slipping sounds beckoned the inviting cool smooth sheets; an endless king size bed of relaxing contentment.

Was very beautiful , peaceful, and felt right at home. Lily was really good at making sure we had all we needed and made sure we knew she was there if we needed anything.

Beautiful, serene, and private location—perfect for a peaceful family getaway. The home was well-equipped with thoughtful amenities, and our toddlers especially loved the toys. The space felt safe, comfortable, and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Ostrich Nest was a great getaway! Very peaceful and quiet. The house was well stocked with pretty much everything you would need (even a knife sharpener in the kitchen) which is great since you’re on an island. Would highly recommend this rental if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway on the water.

Absolutely Perfect Getaway! This beautiful waterfront home exceeded all expectations. The views are absolutely incredible, and the outdoor living space is both relaxing and family-friendly. The spacious yard was perfect for the kids to play, and the house itself was well-stocked with everything we needed. It truly is a gem in the Pacific Northwest-a must-stay! Both of our families had a fantastic time. The hosts were wonderful and communicated clearly throughout. We can’t wait to come back. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!

We had such a lovely stay here over the Easter weekend – it was everything we hoped for and more! The house is clean, beautifully kept, and the views? Absolutely breathtaking. It’s one of those rare places that feels even better in person than in the pictures. It had everything we could possibly need – and then some. The hosts were simply wonderful – super friendly, accommodating, and just really easy to talk to. They made the whole experience feel warm and personal, not distant or transactional in any way. They even let us check in early and check out late, which made a huge difference for us with kids. Our days were filled with beach walks, seafood harvesting adventures, backyard chill time, and gorgeous sunsets. It felt like a perfect little reset from our busy lives. We were also celebrating our daughter’s 4th birthday during the stay, and she had an absolute blast. Can’t wait to come back. Thank you Dale & Carol.

We had a fantastic stay—everything was peaceful and relaxing. The beach access was excellent, and we absolutely loved spending time around the fire pit in the evenings. The hosts were attentive and easy to reach, making everything effortless. The shower was a bit smaller than expected, but aside from that, everything was great. We also had the joy of seeing seals, lots of starfish, deer, and more—such wonderful wildlife moments! Thanks so much for a lovely stay. We’d definitely come back!

I was visiting from Idaho and wanted a nice getaway with my Mom and son. This place absolutely exceeded our expectations and it was so great we ended up staying an extra night! Eric was very quick with responding and so kind. I will be back in a year and might make it a tradition. We caught fish, saw nature and stayed in and relaxed.

My husband and I had the most incredible stay at the Eagle Point Cottage with our dog. The house itself was spotless, well-stocked, and had everything we could possibly need. The master bed was incredibly comfortable, and we slept so well every night. Our favorite part was spending time out on the bulkhead with coffee or a campfire, just soaking in the breathtaking views and watching the amazing wildlife (eagles, herons, and seals). One unforgettable moment was when we went kayaking, we found ourselves surrounded (and I’m not exaggerating) by nearly 100 seals as we paddled north. We kept a respectful distance but were curiously watching us from the shallows the entire time. It was absolutely magical and something we will never forget. We would come back in a heartbeat. This place is truly special, and we cannot recommend it enough!

I booked Margo‘s place for my son and his wife for their honeymoon. They wanted a quiet, beautiful place near the water in the Pacific Northwest. This place was perfect.

I visited the cottage to escape the city for a few days. This place is absolutely adorable— completely drenched in natural sunlight. It manages to maintain its historical charm while also feeling modern. I did some remote work during the visit & the WiFi worked perfectly— I could even get signal sitting outside. It was a little too chilly to take advantage of the water, but even just sitting outside on the floating dock or the balcony provided a lot of peace. This place is the perfect mixture of providing a secluded feel while still being just a short drive to grocery/ restaurants. I truly loved my stay here & am already trying to figure out when I might be back!

Can’t wait to go back to the Camano Cottage. Danielle and Bryan have thought of everything! It is beautiful, peaceful, relaxing. The kitchen is well stocked with quality dishes, utensils and cookware—which is great, as I love to cook at Airbnb’s. And the beds are super comfy—slept like a baby. The view from the deck is spectacular and we spent a lot of time there. Just a note: beach access for us older folks looked a bit difficult to tackle because of steep stairs, so we skipped it. It would not deter us one bit from planning another trip here tho. Highly recommend!

This place is amazing! I loved that it was like staying at a friend's house - it had so much character. Not boring and staged like a hotel. There wasn't an "owner's closet" like most rentals. Jess is a beautiful soul that shares her amazing space and genuinely wants you to enjoy every minute. From the decor to the records, hammock, outdoor tub, kayaks, exploring the low tide wildlife...everything brought peace and relaxation. We never even turned on the television...it was magical!

Jacob's place is really special! The view and outdoor seating area would make this spot worth it, but the house is also really well taken care of, cozy, and enjoyable to spend time in. We loved our time here and felt it was a great home base for exploring the area or relaxing on the water.

Wayne was a delight to book from. He was responsive, friendly & helpful. The cabin was a dream and exactly as advertised. The cabin is quaint & cozy with large windows providing an 180 degree view of the lake. But the crown jewel is the large deck overlooking the water, tucked behind a privacy hedge and filled with fragrant roses & beautiful flower containers. We enjoyed wine & appetizers at the tabletop fire pit, then relaxed in the high-end hot tub high-end hot tub under a starry night sky. The boathouse rooftop deck was great for morning yoga, and the paddle boat, kayaks & paddleboards were great options for daytime activities. Last, but not least, visits from the friendly golden retriever, Hank was an added treat to a wonderful, last minute mother-daughter getaway. I will definitely be back again!

We had a wonderful and peaceful vacation weekend in Allyn! Fang’s home was easy to get to and settle into. We loved watching the water and tides, and it was easy to walk to restaurant, coffee shops and more. We spent most of our days on day trips in the region (Staircase Ridge & Hama Hama Oysters, and the Tacoma Zoo). This was the perfect place to recharge. We also loved the kayaks and hot tub, and generally cozy space. Fang was proactive and easy to communicate with throughout our stay as well.

My wife and I spent a week at Pinecone Cottage and had the most amazing time. The lake is serene and picturesque and the cabin itself was fantastic. We ended up staying in most days instead of going into town, and loved every single second relaxing in the house. I would absolutely come back the moment I am able as this is a fantastic location for a truly relaxing and peaceful vacation.

If you want a location that gives you the sense of seclusion and provides you with great amenities to relax and unwind, then this is it. With two younger kids the bunk beds on the upper level were perfect and the king bed on the lower level was comfortable. The house was clean and had what you need to make for an easy stay. The hot tub was a hit, and the there are plenty of water craft options to enjoy the lake. Don’t hesitate to book this property!

We had a girls weekend here and we loved this cabin. There is close hiking and outdoor activities and it's close enough to Hoodsport if you need anything. For the size of the cabin the kitchen is well stocked, great appliances. We were able to relax and have a few wonderful meals together. The hot tub was excellent after we took a morning dip in Lake Kokanee. We only wish we had more time here. We had a fantastic stay.

Beautiful cottage on the water! The surroundings are very peaceful. Nice to watch the tides. the kitchen was well outfitted includingna gas range and teapot! Loved it, thanks, Erin!

We loved our stay at The Hideaway! The property is peaceful and spacious with plenty to do. The hot tub and sauna were perfect after exploring the trails, and the game room was a fun bonus. Claire was a great hosts who made everything easy and welcoming. A great escape in a beautiful setting!

Wonderful place, has to be the best one on the lake, unobstructed view of the lake and no zero houses on the opposite side, you literally looking at the forest after the lake ends from the patio. Great fishing spot too, we caught lots of trout and sunfish. Respectful neighbors around, was very quiet during our stay there. We’ve had an extremely relaxing time! Billie is a great host! It was definitely one of our top stays of all time!
