Opened in July 2024. La Fotografia Marrone is conveniently located a 9-minute walk from Kanazawa Station and a 6-minute walk from Omicho Market, where buses leave for major tourist spots in Kanazawa. The building faces a quiet street lined with Kanazawa Machi-style houses, and you can see the largest temple in Kanazawa, Tozai-in Temple. The building consists of a traditional exterior and interior layout. In addition, in the "photography" section, which is also the theme of this accommodation, there is a photo exhibition by Japanese photographer "Kimura Katsuhiko IG @ kats_portraits". In addition, you can spend a relaxing time indoors listening to the music that Mr. Kimura selected to match the photos. To ensure guests have a relaxing stay, we have provided facilities such as a washing machine for cooking and medium-long stays, close to Omi Market. This house overlooks Lake Nojiri and has a superb view. There are several ski resorts (Myoko, Kurohime, Madarao) about 15-20 minutes away by car, making it a perfect base for winter sports. Enjoy the wood stove sauna and the water bath with a view. There are no private houses around, so you can listen to music and watch movies loudly. Because it is a house located deep in the mountains, we take the best measures, but in the warm season, insects come out. It snows a lot in winter. In autumn, fallen leaves dance. You will also need to adjust the wood stove fire yourself. It's not an easy house to live in, but we promise you a great view and experience. Enjoy cooking with a counter kitchen with a view, condiments and cooking utensils. (There is no equipment for BBQ)

This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. HAKU is a Japanese Style Villa. You can enjoy your private time as in your home. “HAKU“ is one of the readings of the character “百” which means “hundred”. Medieval Haiku poet, Basho Matsuo likened eternal passage of time to "百代の過客", a permanent traveller. In his time, a hundred years was expressed as eternal. HAKU was originally built as a farmer’s shed about a hundred years ago. It was recently relocated and renovated for another hundred years. HAKU will welcome you as traveling companions.
