Minh is truly a super host, attentive to detail and to her guests’ needs. She will make you feel at home from the moment you step into her beautifully decorated and fully equipped home. Communication is important to feel relaxed while on vacations. Minh was permanently in touch with us, making sure we were feeling comfortable. When we had problems with the water heater and the ice maker, she fixed them in no time. She even contacted a friend of hers to provide us with ice for our cooler. This friend also gave us fresh eggs from her hens. It was so nice to experience the hospitality of the people in the Big Island! The view of the sunset from the balcony is a piece of art. Her immaculate garden is a treasure. The beautiful color of bamboo in her furniture complements the colors of the sun and brings out the warmth of the house. Minh’s quaint home and hospitality brought peace, joy, and rest to our lives! We came back home renewed. Mahalo, from the bottom of our hearts!

We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful and well-maintained home. The ocean view from the balcony was stunning, and the house was tidy and comfortable. Communication with the host was prompt and friendly, making the experience smooth from start to finish. It’s a great base for exploring the island—just keep in mind that having a car is essential. We wanted to stay somewhere away from the city and have more of a genuine Hawaiin experience and we couldn't have been happier with our time at Kat and Joe's. Their property is serene, the proximity to the beautiful beaches is perfect and they are kind, welcoming hosts. We hope to stay there again sometime soon!

First of all, the area was amazing!! Manini beach was literally a 2-3 minute walk down the road for great snorkeling (gear is provided, if you need it) with a path for some amazing sunsets. There are a couple of fruit stands in the neighborhood, which was great for my mother’s daily banana stroll. You can see the bay from the amazing lanai that we spent so much time on to watch the snorkelers, kayakers and dolphins. The house itself was great! Split into half, with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom on either side, separated by an open concept living room and kitchen. The dining room is outside…where else would you want to sit down and eat? There were A/Cs in the bedrooms if you needed them, but the ocean breeze was usually enough for most of my party. There were lots of spices in the cabinets for cooking and some staples leftover from past renters. The long, winding and narrow roads make some great scenery, but also make your trip to anywhere else a bit long. I would definitely stay again.

Remote and peaceful. Great for star gazing. Felt at home. It was so very nice to get away from the city. Would stay here again.

The Sugar Shack was a great stop on our vacation. Gary was an exceptional host and showed us all the great snorkeling areas. We were very happy with the communication and all he provided at his rental.

We had a lovely stay at Mary’s place. The home is nestled in a lush, serene setting and was fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable visit. Mary and her property manager were responsive, helpful, and accommodating. We loved relaxing by the pool and taking evening walks to catch the sunset over the ocean at the nearby park. The kitchen was a joy to cook in, and we loved the open-air layout—it felt like a home away from home. Waking up to the sight and sounds of the ocean from the upstairs bedroom is something we’ll miss. Thank you, Mary, for graciously sharing your beautiful space with us! The memories our family made at this home are something we'll always hold dearly.

Amazing views of the ocean from the lanai—enjoyed the bird songs, frog mating calls, zealous baby chicks, protective hens, friendly neighbor dog—and comfortable lodging for 3 adults. Really appreciated being able to borrow the beach towels, beach chair/umbrella and cooler too.

My second time here -- the best house, with the kindest hosts. Well-stocked kitchen and living space, and I love this neighborhood so much.

We really enjoyed Kathy’s condo. It was close to all of our snorkeling tours. Kathy is a very responsive host and gave great recommendations for food and activities. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

I enjoyed my stay in Kona. This place was exactly as advertised and looked just like the pictures. Thomas was super proactive and responsive to all of my needs. Check in was easy and clear instruction for check in and check out were provided. Amenities included a wide selection of beach items which was fantastic. Location was wonderful with walkable access to several popular but never crowded beaches. Private parking was a plus. I recommend.

Ka'Haiya's place had a great zen energy, located in one of the last unspoiled corners of the Big Island, you can really disconnect and relax. Green Sand Beach is an adventure just down the road, Black Sand Beach is a quick drive. Being in the South Point, you have equal distance to go East to Volcano National Park or West to all the beautiful beaches. We also covered Mauna Kea summit and the East Coast on our short 5 days stay. Ka'Haiya is a perfect host, quick to respond and offered us great suggestions; we enjoyed sampling the fresh exotic fruits at her farm stand.

It's the house of my dream. Everything in the house is taken really good care of by Priscilla and Rob, and the house is definitely one of my favorite places in Kona. I really hope that I can come back soon, and I will bring you a small gift from China, Priscilla~~💜

Keoni's place was perfect for two people, super clean, and great location. We loved enjoying the breeze at night and listening to the birds. Would totally stay here again! Keoni was also super communicative and accommodating.

I stayed here for nearly a week at Kirk's condo and I am very satisfied with the place. It's located in a central area close to the Kailua Boardwalk and a few resorts. He's also transparent and very communicative on the check in and check out processes. I highly recommend Kirk's place if you want to stay in Kona. Mahalo nui loa Kirk!

Beautiful stay. Beautiful majestic views and conveniently located close to the airport and Kona activities. The place was clean and had everything one could need. The kitchen was useful for cooking our own meals and the bed was comfortable to sleep in. I also loved seeing the little animals in the neighbors yard next door. The place had extra towels, blankets and other supplies you may need that made this place a great stay. I highly recommend.

Our stay here was perfect. Location was amazing right by the beach at a peaceful community, great for viewing sunrise/sunset. The place was just as pictured, very clean and had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

place was beautiful! spacious and very well kept. location was great just a few minutes from the hustle and bustle of the strip down the road. host was responsive and helpful!

We read reviews about bugs and a bad smell, however we had no issues with either. Place felt very clean and smelled great, has all the amenities and appliances that we needed. Even had a boogie board in the closet that we could use which was fun! Overall great place, right by tons of restaurants and stores as well as the shoreline.

This Airbnb was a lovely find! We especially enjoyed the little balcony, the accessibility to shops and restaurants, and the ease of check in.
