Cabin vacation rentals in Hjelmeland Municipality

We spent a weekend at Kjetil’s place and it was an amazing experience! The cabin is spacious (the rooms are actually bigger than how they look in the pictures), beautiful, complete with everything we needed, and not to mention, the JACUZZI which we enjoyed so much! We booked this place without any comment or reviews from others as this was a new listing back then, and we didn’t regret taking the risk. It was all worth it. Kjetil was very kind to help us with everything we needed, he was easy to communicate with, and the cabin is perfect for a big group like us — three families, with children and a 3-month baby. We’re hoping to come back here for next year’s winter season!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The place is idyllic and perfect for two families who want to relax and enjoy nature. We used both boats and kayaks, and the kids were thrilled to see crabs - extra nice that the host took the time to show them. The evenings were spent around the campfire and in the jacuzzi – a perfect end to nice days. Everything was clean, well organized and incredibly cozy. Highly recommended for anyone who loves nature and tranquility. We will definitely be back - thank you so much!

The place is excellent. We love the fact that the house has a space outside for activities. Definitely a come again place for us.

We loved the house, and it was so magical to wake up here, with rich bird chirping and beautiful nature! We were three friends who were on a trip and two of us had each brought our autistic child, and they loved the garden! We were all inspired to get a pond in our own garden after the stay.🤩 It was also very nicely furnished in the house and it smelled so clean when we entered!🥰 The whole stay gave us real peace of mind. The house is perfect for a relaxing stay! Should not overlook the fact that we will come again🤩

Very nice cottage with beautiful views! The owner is very friendly and was present when we arrived. Driving to the cottage was a bit exciting at first, but the host gives good instructions and helps you if necessary. After that, we did well. Parking below the cottage is also possible. We had great days. It is a nice area for beautiful walks and in an hour you are in Stavanger, a nice city to visit. The jacuzzi is fantastic too! You lack nothing in this cottage, even towels and bedding were provided.

We have already visited the accommodation/cabin for the 2nd time and, as the first time, we liked it fantastically. It is a small paradise for us, where you can spend time undisturbed and enjoy nature. No matter the weather: you have a fantastic/unique view of the fjord, which always invites you to linger. The cottage is comfortably furnished and very well maintained. And with the fireplace and the optionally bookable hot tub, we lacked nothing. We enjoyed our stay again. Tor Martin is a very helpful, reliable, and nice host who is always very easy to reach.

Very cozy cabin and nice host

We had a lovely time with the family, beautifull and spacious home (even bigger then I thought from the pictures. The house has everything you need and is very clean. The area is just amazing!

Amazing location and excellent views by the sea shore. Direct access to the sea and good options to fish. The cabin is cozy and comfortable. We didn't miss anything to enjoy our stay. Very advisable to rest a few days in a quite and beautiful area.

We had a great stay at Bjarne’s place. The barn is equipped with functionalities. Do not expect excessive luxury, but everything works perfectly and the place has a cozy nautical theme that fits the location perfectly. We loved it! We could use the great outdoor space as well and immediately felt welcome by the family. Bjarne gave us great recommendations about the area; the fresh shrimps on thursday/fridays, great hikes and beautiful scenic route that really made the difference during our stay. It was our first time in Norway and we could never have found these ourselves. Next to this we enjoyed the drinks together at the end of the day and the conversations that we had. Very cozy cottage in scenic surroundings. We felt at home immediately. The cabin has good amenities and very good location with good hiking opportunities. Anny is a wonderful host - so friendly and warm. :) She was also easily accessible and responsive to messages. Recommended!!

We were a wonderful , good week with eight (four adults, four children between 9 & 13 years old) in the month of August in the fisherman's house. Beautiful quiet location, great views, all very authentic. The rooms are functional, but also furnished with love for detail. There are a few games, a foosball table and fishing was possible right outside the door. If you want to do something outside of Ombo, keep a close eye on the ferry times. Smaller, relaxed hikes can also be made directly on the island of Ombo. We even spotted a moose. Conclusion: An old, lovingly renovated house with a lot of soul. We liked it very much.

Wow. what a shame that we booked only for two nights! The property is located at one of the best location we were at Norway, feels like home away from home. The house is well equipped with everything we could have imagined and more. The parking is a bit far from the apartment, but one can get close for unloading the car. The stairs for the upper floor are a bit tricky for the young kids. Nevertheless - totally worth to stay while in Norway.

We walked into this place very late at night and it was cozy, warm and beautiful. The host had kindly left supplies in the fridge for us, so we weren't trying to find a grocery store at an inconvenient time. Ingvild is one of those rare hosts who seems to have anticipated all the guests needs. There were instructions on how to use everything, there were tips for things to do in the area, and there were ample supplies of basics in the kitchen and laundry room that made things so easy for us. This was a perfect location to feel secluded, but close enough to see the popular tourist sites in the area with a short drive. We looked forward to coming back each afternoon to enjoy the view from this home. The floor to ceiling windows were amazing.

We were given clear instructions and it was nice that the host woman contacted us. Felt like a warm welcome. What a beautiful spacious house with all the luxury and comforts, a beautiful large garden and to the great joy of the children a private beach with boat and then the sheep came with bells. The holiday mood was complete. We enjoyed ourselves and sat outside, what a recommendation this place is! The children didn't want to go through, they wanted to stay here for the rest of the holiday. They don't need much to be happy. We felt so much at home and enjoyed the peace and beautiful views ♥️

We have changed our bookings on short notice and Inger was a very flexible, friendly and pragmatic host. The house is small but very cosy. Feels like typical for Norwegian tradition. The bath is recently renovated and offers modern comfort. The house is located in a quite lovely surrounding with plenty of opportunities for hiking and outdoor activities. Stavanger as a major town can be reached by car easily via tunnel in 30 minutes. If you want to relax and recover in a quite area and impressive nature, this house is the place to choose.

Excellent stay! I highly recommend this very spacious, very bright and very well-equipped accommodation. Toys available for children. The environment is quiet and peaceful. Hosts are responsive to needs.

easy to communicate with, great cabin and incredibly beautiful location

We had an excellent time here, spending the days hiking, chilling out at the terrace of the cabin and exploring the fjords. All went smoothly. Thanks a lot Solbjorg!

everything was fine. quite area and beautiful view on the Fjord. At rainy weather the last 50m to the hut are a but muddy, in case you plan on wearing fancy shoes.

This cabin at Vostervatnet in Strand has a fantastic location all the way down to the water. To get down to the cabin, we had to walk about 150 meters down a path from the parking lot. With a private small beach, jacuzzi and several seating areas in a spacious garden, it was nice days in the sun. A small boat with an outboard motor could also be used. The cabin was clean, tidy and delicately decorated. It was nice to come to made beds. We enjoyed a good view from large living room windows in the evening. Espen was a very good host who responded quickly to messages and who wanted us to have a nice stay. Recommended, thank you very much for the loan!

A very great location with a lovely view and a fantastic host that was very welcoming and gave us wonderful suggestions about some great hiking routes!

We had wonderful days in Ase & Peters cabin. The view and terrace is perfect. The cabin is really beautiful and very well equiped. The nature around is wonderful. Ase and Peter are very friendly and great hosts.

A very nice cabin with everything you need. You just need to bring something to eat and clean clothes. Otherwise, everything you need is at the cabin. Friendly host. Can only be recommended.
