We are just 20 minutes from winter place, 30 minutes from the new river gorge and four minutes from Raleigh General hospital. Ideal place for skiers, rafters, or travel nurses. Inside has been newly renovated and includes 2br with queen beds, 1 full bath with onsite laundry and off street parking (until weather permits for driveway to be poured.) The one bedroom has a queen size bed, a full size futon bed is located in the living room & a twin daybed. A full kitchen, fire pit area and walking distance to downtown Oak Hill.

Things to Note: This little cottage has skylights upstairs, so light floods into this space from sunrise to sundown. Also, the mattress is firm. Finally, the hot water is provided via a tankless hot water heater, which has been known to cause water temperature variability.

What a cool place! We loved staying in the dome. Super clean and looked just like the photos. The best part is sitting on the deck listening to the river. So peaceful! I could’ve sat there for hours. Very comfy bed and pillows. Very modern and tastefully decorated. It’s about 15 minutes to Lewisburg which is an adorable quaint town with great restaurants and shops. The sour dough bread and pepperoni rolls were delicious. We were celebrating my daughter’s birthday and it was such a unique and memorable place to stay. The host was easy to communicate with and quick to respond. Thank you for a great trip!

We had an excellent vacation staying at Mark's cabin! The views from the cabin's large windows are breath taking!!! The cabin is so clean, with all the amenities provided for a relaxing time. His cabin was well organized and comfortable. We enjoyed listening to the rain in the evening, while playing board games there. The flickering of lightening bugs in the night as they lit up the mountains was beautiful. Mark was excellent with communication. The driving directions he gave were easy to follow, along with check in and check out information. We HIGHLY recommend staying at his cabin: called "Against the Wind."

This cabin was a wonderful launching point for us and the hounds as we explored the gorge. In a quiet and peaceful area. Check-in was easy and the hosts were reaponsive. Everything was as advertised. We had a great time!

Filled all of our needs and impressed our guests. Peaceful setting and close to New River Gorge Walking Bridge. Seeing the horses in the field across the street in the morning was a special treat. Plenty of restaurants within a 10-15 minute drive. There’s a lot of bang for your buck here, and Kenny was a friendly and attentive host.

Comfortable and spacious house that was more than enough room for 4 adults and 2 children. Our kids loved the upstairs and how they could have their own space, and they enjoyed the toys that were there. There were no complaints about beds, we used each one and everyone woke up well rested and ready to get back on the road. Although we didn't need to use it, the kitchen was very nice. The bathroom was clean and everything worked like you'd want it to. There are plenty of things you can do around this location that would meet almost anyone's desire, whether it be shopping or being out in nature, there's even a local dirt track that you could catch a race if you visit on the right weekend. If I was ever needing to be in the area again I'd not hesitate to stay here again.

OMG!!! Rosy’s place is absolutely AMAZING! It’s beautiful, cozy, clean and close to everything. Our main reason for visiting the area was New River Gorge NP. It was very convenient and super close to several of the park entrances. Rosy was a wonderful host and always available to share suggestions for us. She has gone above and beyond and thought of everything to make her guests’ stay enjoyable. I highly recommend staying here. If we are back in the area again, we will definitely stay with Rosy!
