Driftwood Cottage

JoanneRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Lovely cottage with uninterrupted view of the sea. Very private and very quiet with just rabbits, birds and delightful Shetland ponies as your neighbours. Extremely convenient for the airport and an excellent base for touring the southern part of the mainland and the fantastic birdwatching on offer in the area. The Croft House Museum is well worth a visit, as is Hillswick Wildlife Sanctuary a little further away - home to Smudge, the Grey Seal who will steal your heart.

East Biggins crofthouse Papa Stour

Sarah's croft house was very comfortable, in a stunning location, and staying there meant we got to see all of Papa Stour ... an incredibly wonderful place. We are so appreciative that Sarah is able to provide this property ... we would definitely return!

The Weaving Shed Studio - a Shetland retreat

AnneRating, 5 stars5 days ago
A beautiful, quiet spot by the shore in Hillswick. The studio apartment is exactly as described and has everything you need. The next door Wildlife Sanctuary which rescues seals and otters, is well worth a visit. There are stunning coastal walks nearby, the Ness of Hillswick and Eshaness Cliffs.

Coastal retreat with beach and woodland garden

DavidRating, 5 stars48 months ago
A very spacious, discrete, comfortable and well equipped home, optimally placed to explore the full extent of the islands. The nearby CoOp and garage in Brae have all the supplies you need. Fresh mussels and scallops available daily from the shellfish farm across the bay. Amazing wildlife, including otters on the lawn. Nikita is a super host, very supportive with good ideas, such as where to spot Orcas. The nearby Brae hotel does good dinners. Thoroughly recommend staying as long as you can to enjoy a special place, people and wildlife in the British Isles. Thanks Nikita!

Flat 2 Kiwi House

DavidRating, 5 stars4 days ago
This is a flat ideal for a couple no more than 50 yards from Lerwick town centre. It was easy to find eitg the description and photos thr host provided. The only potential issue is that the parking space directly outside belongs to another property. Having said that, it was free for both unloading and loading. Most parking in Lerwick is free and, outside of the Quay area and main shopping street, it is unlimited. We used the car park behind the main hotel, which always had free spaces, as it was only 3 minutes walk. The accommodation was comfortable and very clean. Amenities included a dishwasher; washing machine; and a tumble drier. The television is a "smart tv" meaning that it has no aerial, but gets all its content from on-line apps. So worth making sure you're signed up to iplayer; itvx; Amazon Prime; and or similar. Broadband performance was good, do this worked very well; just remember to sign out of the tv apps before you leave. All in all, ideal and recommended
