Absolutely beautiful home, exactly as the photos show and as described. Located in a lovely neighborhood and a great place to unplug and unwind. Spotty cell service (as expected for the location) but WiFi was excellent and allowed us to make calls if needed, plus there is a landline if needed. All amenities a traveler could need, including beach towels, toiletries, and spices/cooking supplies. Loved the nightlife (literal nightlife like frogs singing the song of their people at night). We felt safe and comfortable in this luxurious hideaway! Would definitely stay again! Yvette was also a great cohost who offered lots of tips for restaurants and sightseeing! We found them very useful and her local insight made our trip even better!

We loved our stay in Kukuihaele. The proximity to both Honokaa and Waimea was so convenient. Loved the local restaurants that were recommended by the host and found a few gems of our own. The local fruit stands were a great place to stop on our way back to the house after a day of adventure. We walked to the Waipio Valley Lookout from the house and enjoyed a scenic drive to Hilo for the Sunday Farmers Market, while stopping at some waterfalls along the way. Avocados from the tree on site were large and delicious. We did experience some evening noise from the neighbors’ dogs barking our first few nights, which was unfortunate, but that resolved by the middle of our stay. The sounds of the birds and frogs singing and the cattle lowing were a welcome reminder of the nature that surrounded us. Not to mention the ocean view was fantastic! Overall we loved our time here, falling in love with the area and the old Hawaii feel of it. Thanks!

What a nice to stay to be close to both Maunakea and Volcano. Very convenient if you want to tour these places at a very reasonable price. Serine place with frog and bird sounds to fall asleep.

Just a magical place. Loved the views of the lava flows, a great view of the ocean in the distance and just a peaceful neighborhood. Jade was absolutely fantastic in communication and we appreciated her local recommendations. If we’re ever fortunate enough to return to the big island, we would for sure stay here again.

My wife and I spent four nights in the penthouse unit of Jenn and Kristian’s beautiful home. We loved our time there. The unit was in good condition and comfortably furnished and the private rooftop terrace was perfect for early morning stargazing.

Nathan's home is nice and spacious, and very comfortable. Close the airport and Kona and things to do. The backyard and patio was a little slice of heaven. Nathan was super flexible when our flight got cancelled, and went out of his way to work with us! Mahalo!

Really fun place to stay. My kids caught lizards and frogs outside. The decor inside was very retro and pleasant. We ate out on the balcony every day. Thank you!

We had a great stay! Scott was excellent at communicating throughout and was a very reliable host.

The place was great! Super clean and Jon was able to respond quickly if needed. Cafe Florian down the street was super charming and affordable with GREAT views of the ocean, and Gypsea Gelato was a few minutes drive away and had amazing gelato-great treat on a hot day! Parks and snorkeling were short drives away. The grocery store down the street had great premade sushi to take to the beach! I felt very comfortable at Jon's place! Close to Kona Community Hospital as well.

Great place to stay located nearby both Volcanoes National Park and Hilo. The unit was clean and comfortable and located in a quiet neighborhood. The host was very easy to communicate with and replied quickly on questions. Great place to stay outside of town and would recommend again.

This location was perfect for our stay. It felt like staying in a rainforest. The backyard with fruits was beautiful. Highly recommend, also for the price is totally worth it.

Jeannie and her place were absolutely amazing. By far the best Airbnb experience I've ever had. We came in super late because we opted to head straight towards Kīlauea to try and see it erupting, and she was super accommodating with leaving everything up and on for us to easily get in late at night. There were tons of fruit trees she offered to let us pick from, the room had literally everything we could need. From a fridge, microwave, wine opener, utensils, all of the beach items you could need - chairs, TOWELS (huge plus), boogie boards, flashlights, legit everything. The bathroom was even stocked up with soap, hair products, sprays, lotions. I cannot rave enough on how at-home and comfortable we felt here. The place was spotless, the decked out patio was a huge plus. I would highly highly recommend and we will definitely be back for our next big island visit! Our stay here was perfect. Location was amazing right by the beach at a peaceful community, great for viewing sunrise/sunset. The place was just as pictured, very clean and had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

place was beautiful! spacious and very well kept. location was great just a few minutes from the hustle and bustle of the strip down the road. host was responsive and helpful!

We read reviews about bugs and a bad smell, however we had no issues with either. Place felt very clean and smelled great, has all the amenities and appliances that we needed. Even had a boogie board in the closet that we could use which was fun! Overall great place, right by tons of restaurants and stores as well as the shoreline.

The condo is clean and modern with spacious and well-maintained grounds. The furnishings are comfortable and it has everything you might need. Since it's a bit remote we made extensive use of the kitchen, which is very well-equipped. The hosts sent lots of information about the volcano and even though we missed seeing an eruption they did everything they could to help increase our odds. The best thing about this place is the amazing beach in walking distance. The black sand beach is striking. We went there every morning to go snorkeling and swimming. The hosts provided beach chairs a cooler and snorkels. The waves are a bit rough so we hesitated at first but there is a line of buoys to indicate where it is safe to swim. There are *many* sea turtles! There's a marked area of the beach where they are protected. We saw them swimming every time we went in the water. There are also many beautiful fish.
