Highlander Haven

Beautiful home! Everything looks spanky brand new… loved the interior decorations. The bed was super comfortable as well. Weather was rather cold at franz Josef when we were there - would have been great if the bed rooms and toilet had some form of heater. Other then that, we had a super good and short night stay at this lovely home

The image captures a view of the Southern Alps, framed by palm leaves in the foreground. Snow-capped peaks rise majestically above a lush, green landscape dotted with trees. A rustic structure with a wooden window provides context to the serene, natural setting.

Cosy Mountain Cabin with Barrel Sauna Fox Glacier

JoyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Lovely stay, enjoyed the sauna and the views of the mountains. Kristy was a lovely host and even had a scrapbook of her family and their involvement and influence in the town which was really interesting context and made us feel like we knew our hosts a little better. We were sad we only stayed one night but it was a great launch point for our hike through the Copeland Valley the following day. The place is also close to the Fox Glacier viewpoint, so we were able to sneak that in before our big day of hiking. If you have time, we also heard the helicopter tours and helicopter-hikes were also fabulous in the area.

View With A Room - Private Boutique Beach Suite

JamieRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Our stay at view with a room was stellar! Shirley is an extremely thoughtful host. She has everything you could possibly think to need with some very thoughtful touches such as freshly laid eggs that were left for us. The accommodation was impeccably clean and so well thought out. Modern bathroom, nice lighting. Beautiful views in a peaceful and serene setting. We walked at low tide to see the starfish, what a fun adventure! Shirley has a tide chart printed so you can time it just right. We loved our time at view with a room and highly highly recommend staying here. Thank you again Shirley!

Boutique pod just meters from the Tasman Sea.

CatherineRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Unbelievable value the best place we stayed on our honeymoon. We both loved the container, the newness and cleanliness and the incredible design and style throughout. The bath was stunning and we both fell asleep on the couch under the stars with the sound of the sea close by.

Dreamy mountain views & star gazing at Outside Inn

ElisaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
The house has a great location and is close to the next larger town, which is also very cozy—Hokitika. The house is set in an idyllic spot with the perfect view of the mountains, which seem to close in, and in the morning, the mist beautifully weaves through the trees and peaks. The accommodation itself is incredibly cozy—really, really cozy. If you like, you can even light a small fire. We were warmly welcomed by Heather and Jim, who are such lovely hosts. Their entire property is simply breathtaking.
