1888 Hidden Gem (Acadia Nat. Park)

ChintanRating, 5 stars34 months ago
Cute little inn with everything you need. Kind of in the middle of nowhere. Very remote feel which is great. Megan and her cousin and the folks there were very hospitable. Only issue i had was with the WiFi. As I had to take a few zoom calls it kept going in and out. Otherwise the place is awesome, highly recommend.

Cozy Room in 1888 Inn in Acadia

HollyRating, 5 stars8 months ago
I can’t say enough good things about my stay here. The location is super close to Acadia National Park. The room we stayed in was so cozy, clean and felt so homey. We loved the breakfast the next morning, the blueberry muffins were to die for. I wish we were able to stay here for more than 1 night. If you’re thinking about staying here.. you most definitely should!

Oceanfront Historic B&B with Ocean View/Access 303

ElleRating, 5 stars10 months ago
We loved spending a few days at this rustic b&b! Soft towels, a good bed, and lots of charm. it was beautiful and the people who run it are very kind! Those with a nervous predisposition should know there are no locks, but that’s standard in this part of the world because it’s very safe. Breakfast included made it feel really easy and cozy, even though there were quite a few good breakfast options in the area. The views from the property are stunning: stargazing by the water at night was a real treat. If you are looking for rustic, unpretentious, and stunningly beautiful Maine, this is it.

Oceanfront Historic B&B with Ocean View/Access 201

Butch’s place was great. The inn had every bit of character we hoped it would. We had dine at the restaurant on site and we thought it was great. Butch’s pancakes in the morning were also wonderful! He gave us helpful recommendations on what to do with a rainy day and told us all kinds of stories from growing up in the area. This place is a gem and we will definitely return. Thanks for a great stay!

Ironbound Inn Room 4, Near Acadia

TongRating, 5 stars32 months ago
Meeting Leslie and staying/ dining in her Ironbound Restaurant & Inn was a highlight of our trip to Maine. We arrived a few hours before the dinner and Leslie introduced us a nice walk nearby to the ocean side before we had dinner at the restaurant. The room was clean and well decorated, full of Leslie’s personal touch that shows her great art taste. In the room we also found a print out of her great tips about exploring the Acadia area that you can hardly get elsewhere. Super great experience and I highly recommend!

Chocolate Chip B&B/Mrs Muir's Room

LauraRating, 5 stars8 months ago
We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend. We have two young children and this was the perfect couples getaway. The Airbnb was so quiet and cozy. We slept so peacefully after long hiking days. Sue is an amazing cook and breakfast was delicious! Early hikes and travel plans didn’t allow us to always eat in person, but Sue and Eric thoughtfully prepared delicious baked goods and fruit for us. They were quick with communication and extremely organized. Everything was very clean too. I would stay here again and hope to in the future when we are back to visit Acadia.

The Carriage House - Harbour Cottage Inn Bed and Breakfast

VictorRating, 5 stars8 months ago
I would like to start by saying that if you’re considering going to Bar Harbor and need a place to stay, please do yourself the favor and book your stay at the Harbor Cottage Inn. If they’re fully booked, reschedule your trip, it simply won’t be the same anywhere else. My wife & I had a wonderful 4 day stay with Dora & Daniel. Dora is an exceptional host and extremely friendly and hardworking. Daniel’s breakfast & dinner bites would put many restaurants in the area to shame, it’s absolutely phenomenal. The Inn is perfectly located in Southwest Harbor, which puts you close enough to enjoy the island during the day and far enough to peacefully decompress in the evening. I can truly say that if we would have stayed anywhere else, our time at Bar Harbor/Mount Desert Island would have not been the same. I am extremely grateful to Dora & Daniel for the experience & I can’t wait to go back for 2025! Thank you!

Taunton River Bed and Breakfast, Sullivan Room

We loved our stay with Margaret at this B&B! The house is lovely and our room was clean, super comfortable, and had a warm homey feel. The breakfasts were delicious and Margaret was so accommodating. We had early starts for Acadia and while her formal breakfast is from 8-10 am, she prepared baked goods and coffee to go for us. The one day we had formal breakfast was DELISH! Margaret was communicative, incredibly accommodating and flexible, greeted us kindly on arrival, and she and her husband were excellent hosts, intent on making sure our visit was just to our liking. The area is very quiet (which she let us know ahead of time) and worked perfectly for us to rest up between long days at Acadia and grabbing early dinner on the way back.
The exterior features a contemporary house with a two-story design, showcasing a private balcony with two chairs and a small table. Rocking chairs are positioned on the ground level porch, complemented by a neatly manicured lawn and a paved walkway leading to the entrance.

Here’s a review based on what you shared: We were lucky to find Martha and Tim again after staying at one of their other locations, and once again, they exceeded our expectations. The space felt incredibly welcoming and peaceful, with thoughtful touches that made it truly unique and inviting. Echo and Hammy added a special charm to our stay, and breakfast was always a delightful experience. This place is a true gem, and we hope to visit for many years to come. Highly recommend!
