The experience starts with a very unique well thought out home. Off the grid, yet fully equipped. Small, yet comfortable and welcoming. The location is as good as it gets, when we did nothing, we were charging our bodies and minds.. Activities starts with kayaking the calm water, with several destinations to explore. You have to see and experience Stellevara and Michael’s part of the world to understand that it truly defies description. If you are coming to the Homer area and a place is available at the Kilcher’s you should immediately reserve it! Stellevera is a delightful host who is concerned about every detail of your stay. You will enjoy coming to know more about the history of the homestead and will readily see her understandable pride in her family’s heritage in this unique part of the world.

This is an attractive little cabin with a loft that overlooks Kachemak Bay. It’s only a few minutes from the Homer Spit and business district making it conveniently located. It was a pleasure staying there, and the next time I’m in town I’ll look here first for a place to stay.

We loved our stay at the cottage. The space is comfortable and the kitchen has all that is needed to cook small meals. The bed is comfortable and you can’t have a better view of the bay. Jordin and Trina are very accommodating and ready to respond to any questions.
