Fabulous property and perfect for our family of five. Very comfortable, we felt right at home, loved the furnishings and cozy beds. The location was very convenient to making day trips, close to groceries, and an easy drive to downtown Reykjavik. Nice views from the balcony, super quiet neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

The apartment was very clean and cozy and in my opinion the location is very achievable in and out if you have a car and plan to take day trips in basically any direction. Kitchen i.e. had everything(and more) you need for cooking. Comfy sofa for relaxing after a long day out. Groceryshop is like 150m away and has a good selection of items including own section for vegan stuff. We had absolutely no issues during our residence here and would definately pick this one again in the future. Highly recommended

An old house with two bedrooms, a large kitchen, a remodeled bathroom, and a washing and dryer. Throughout our visit, Robert was incredibly kind and quick to respond to any inquiries. The harbor can be reached on foot from the location. The neighbourhood is quiet and peaceful. Despite its age, the house has all the amenities we require.

Jennifer was a great host, very clear instructions were given, the place was heated and has one parking spot and just outside the city and centrally located. Will highly recommend the place for a family of four.

The host was incredibly friendly and responsive, even leaving us a handwritten note and it was such a thoughtful touch. also the kitchen was spotless and fully equipped with everything we needed, which made it easy to settle in and feel at home. Being escaped from the coldness of iceland, heating worked perfectly, and the cozy, warm atmosphere made the place feel welcoming and comfortable after a day of exploring. The location was in a peaceful neighborhood, and the house was spacious, giving us plenty of room to relax. Staying here made our Iceland experience even more memorable !! What a gorgeous place in a brilliant location. We were greeted by the northern lights as we arrived and the views over Reykjavík are amazing. The house had everything we needed for 9 people including 3 children. The washing machine was very useful and the space to dry all our boots and coats was great after a day of waterfall hunting. Would definitely stay again. Marianne was a great host.

Sergey was super responsive and helpful. We had the absolute best time on our wild trip to Iceland. The Jeep ran perfect, and got us through a whole bunch of river crossings and rough terrain driving on the Icelandic F roads. The mattress and pillows in the back were incredibly comfortable, and we slept like babies. The box of supplies had everything we needed. We had an amazing time. We’ll be back!!

Solid vehicle, super comfortable and warm. A GREAT way to see Iceland if you only have 24hrs! If you are coming from Canada, be prepared for insane gas prices…More than $300 to fill the tank.

Stayed here for 3 weeks to study, so we rented the entire apartment. The location was perfect, lovely parks and an ice rink nearby, and only a short bus ride or 25 minute walk by the sea to downtown reykjavik. Kitchen had everything you would need to cook and clean. Hakon had loads or information left available on tours, bus routes, restaurants etc, that were very helpful. A home away from home.

Birna’s place was such a cozy and welcoming spot! The location is perfect — just a short walk to a fantastic bakery and a grocery store, which made everything super convenient. The space was clean, comfortable, and had a really nice vibe. Plus, it comes with its own parking spot. I’d absolutely recommend staying here!

This was a great value for us. Really a nice size with plenty of room for the four of us. I had some questions while there and they were answered very quickly. We also got some great recommendations before our arrival from Amos, very friendly and helpful. The free parking was a plus but we did find that if you arrive later in the day/evening, you will likely have problems finding anything close. Would still definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a nice place near town.

We truly enjoyed out stay. Good location if you have a car and dont want to be in the middle of the city. The host is lovely and the apartment has everything you need. And absolutely loved the U2 vibe in the apartment :)

Angela and I exchanged quite a few messages before my stay, so I already felt at home before getting there. The little studio in Angela’s backyard has all you need for a comfortable stay, it’s warm, cozy and is very close to the sea. Perfect for walks by the harbour. The location is perfect to explore the area as it’s away from the hustle and bustle of the centre, but close enough to the main sights of the city, about 15-20 minutes by car. Hafnarfjörður is not short of swimming pools. Suðurbæjarlaug is just a few minutes’ drive away, and I would highly recommend it as it offers a variety of hot tubs and outdoor swimming. Visit during the morning or early afternoon, to avoid the late afternoon crowds. Angela was readily available and quick to respond whenever I had a query, and she also provided useful advice on things to see and routes to take. As a solo female traveller, I found having contact with a friendly, local resident invaluable during my stay there. Thanks again!

Nike was a very responsive host and everything in the apartment was provided for. Although we didn’t use much, except a bit of butter to cook, you have everything you need if something ever arises. It is a 5 minute walk to bus stop #8 which is great for tour pickups/drop-offs.

G Thor was a wonderful host! Before we arrived he communicated great, sent us very detailed directions with pictures to find the place. Without, we would have had a very hard time finding it. The location is perfect to access the city, and base day trips from. He gave us local recommendations for food and supplies. We couldn’t be more pleased with him as our host! His place was also wonderful! Everything we needed was there and the place was very spacious for our family of 5 adults. Thank you very much!
