Chiquita Beach, Aloki Village 2

EimyRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We couldn’t have picked a better place for our two night stay. The location is secluded away from the hassle and bustle of Puerto Viejo but close where you can take a Tuk Tuk or bike ride (easy to rent nearby) to the center. Playa Chiquita is the closest beach but you can also visit Cocles and Punta Uva (our fave). The Airbnb has all the amenities you need and the host, Stephanie, was very responsive. We hope to return to this hidden oasis soon!

Casa Cacao

It was wonderful to meet Casa Cacao and Meiv and Vladi. Very exceptional people. The stay exceeded all our expectations. We regret not having had more time to stay. We recommend taking the chocolate tour, it was very informative, a valuable experience, we tried varieties of cocoa fruit from its tree and learned the whole process of making chocolate. Very grateful to Vladi and Meiv for the kindness of taking us to the road. We wish you success and will be back.

Beautiful and comfortable home in a great location. The beach in front of the house is beautiful and easy to access. There are restaurants within walking distance and grocery stores a short drive away. The hosts were very nice and super responsive. It was nice that they met us on check in to explain the house and provide instructions. Would love to stay here again.

Casa Jaguar Caribe

VincentRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Daniel welcomed us with great kindness. He gave us a quick and complete tour of the accommodation and then left us to settle in quietly. The accommodation is beautiful, very well positioned to contemplate the jungle and very private because of its height compared to their house. We loved the open kitchen (perfectly equipped) with a very nice covered terrace on which we loved eating facing the jungle. It was a permanent show, monkeys a few meters away, toucans, hummingbirds, and many other birds. The bathroom meets the expectations of those who want to cool off with space in the large walk-in shower. The little bonus is that Daniel is always available by messaging for info about the area. Her gallery is very beautiful and it was an opportunity to leave with some nice paintings as a souvenir. We'll be back without hesitation. Thanks, both of you.

Majestical jungle house with Caribbean view

Jessica’s villa is absolutely stunning – beautifully located in the heart of nature, with breathtaking views all around. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were in paradise. The house itself is super comfortable, stylish, and very “hot” in every sense – both modern and full of character! Surrounded by lush greenery, tropical birds, butterflies, and even monkeys, every morning felt like a scene from a dream. It was the perfect escape from the city and a chance to truly connect with nature. We completely fell in love with Costa Rica – its peaceful vibe, amazing wildlife, and kind people. Thank you, Jessica, for creating such a magical space. We will definitely be back!

Jane's Garden Home in the Rainforest of Gandoca

This place is a beautiful house. It's huge and has clearly been designed with an eye for detail. The large outdoor porch area is a great place to sit and watch toucans and other birds in the trees. The open plan living room, kitchen is huge and really well stocked. It has 2 bedrooms and a room that you can use as a closet as well as a great bathroom with hot water and huge bath. Some things to bear in mind with this stay: 1) It is pretty remote, yes Playa Gandoca is 40 minutes walk from here but it is 10Km to the main road. I would recommend you having your own transport if you stay here 2) Its remoteness and surrounding forest means that you may encounter creepy crawlies such as biting ants, sandflies and mosquitoes. 3) The internet connection is not great. Understandable given its location. It's not just the occassional outage, which can be bearable. It has a low upload speed. I don't recommend if you want to do intensive online activities/working
