Historically Gilleleje is an old fishing village and it was here that many Jews were transported to Sweden during World War II. Gilleleje Church was a waiting place for Jews until they could be transported. In 1943, 75 Jews were caught by the Gestapo on the church ceiling after a snitch had informed the Germans. Everywhere there are monuments of historical events. Every year there are various festivals in Gilleleje - "Hill" Festival, Harbour Festival, Jazz at the port and The Herring Day. Welcome to our cottage where you can relax and enjoy the tranquility. The house is located in Utsholt, 1.6 km from the beach, 8 km from Gilleleje and Tisvildeleje, where you will find the good restaurants, cafes and fishing port with the possibility of buying freshly caught fish. The house is 80 m2 and consists of large living room and three bedrooms. There is a patio with morning sun, where the outdoor bath is also. In the garden there is a large covered terrace and lawn with sun loungers. The house is well insulated and has heat pump and wood stove.
