The location of the house was perfect for our visit to Acadia. It was very quiet and serene with beautiful views of the lake. We enjoyed fishing off the dock and the fire pit at night. We highly recommended this hidden little gem.

We loved our stay here! Being welcomed with cupcakes and everything needed for smores was such a nice surprise! The house has everything we needed and more, down to a printer since some things in Acadia require printed passes! The kayaks were so much fun and our family had a blast on the water. We weren't sure where to launch and how to safely navigate the tides, the host was extremely quick to respond and helpful!! Best washer and dryer of any air BnB we have stayed at!! The game room was a huge hit, as were all the outdoor games!! Our 6 kids had a blast and we would highly recommend this house to others!!!

Brian’s AirBnb is in a quiet and safe neighborhood. The keypad check in is simple. The home is spotless. There are plenty of linens and kitchenware. The home is close to Acadia and downtown Ellsworth. If you want a short drive to Acadia and MDI, this is your place!

Lauren was a wonderful host! We had an amazing stay at her cottage. It was less than a 10 min drive from her place to downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia. Lauren was attentive and fair when handling any issues we ran into during the stay. We will definitely be back!

A beautiful house in a beautiful location! Beth was wonderful to deal with and very communicative. She kept in touch with us prior to our trip, and she patiently answered any questions we had during the trip. The views from the patio and living room are fantastic, and the area is very quiet. Both the Park and Bar Harbor are a short drive a way. This is a great place to stay on a trip to Bar Harbor.

This house was amazing—hosts really have thought of everything when it comes to guest experience! Kayaking out to the tiny islands in the bay a couple times allowed us to see horseshoe crabs and bald eagles up close. The fire pit was great and the “s’mores station” with supplies in the kitchen upon arrival was so cute and thoughtful. Our three kids loved this place and didn’t want to leave at the end of the week. Our boys especially loved the lower level game room with ping-pong, arcade games, and pop-a-shot. The kids also loved reading on the sofa in the upstairs loft overlooking the kitchen. The kitchen is well stocked and we cooked dinner there a couple times during the week. The hosts gave great local recommendations as well—the craft beer at Fogtown Brewing in Ellsworth (less than 15-min. drive) is excellent, and it is very kid-friendly with a large outdoor eating area and wood-fired pizza. We’d love to return to this house! Mosquitoes are fierce so bring bug repellent.

We loved the farmhouse's cozy charm. It felt like we had stepped back in time without sacrificing the modern amenities we think we need. With the old floors, the well-stocked kitchen and bookshelves, the antique dining table, the house gave us both character and comfort. Mark was a great host and provided plenty of information on local activities for our family. We enjoyed our stay immensely and will treasure the memories we made.

Me and my friends loved this BNB!! The hot tub was amazing and the pool was an awesome addition. Instructions were clear and even called to walk me through everything. Plenty of places to sleep and loads of places to go!

Adorable cottage, newly renovated. Perfect for two with an open space loft for one more. Kitchen is well stocked right down to the coffee. A good location if visiting Fort Knox, Mt. Barrie and not too far from Bar Harbor if that is on your list. Great stay, highly recommend. Beautiful view and private.

My return visit to the Boathouse was even lovelier than I hoped it would be. The location can't be matched by anything else I've seen. I enjoyed a September visit with my dog and was lucky to have pristine weather. I lived a very simple and healthy outdoors life and came home the better for it. The Boathouse is true to its description: it is simple and rustic and uncomplicated but well-equipped, and is perfect for one-and-dog, or for two people. A little coming-and-going from the neighboring houses meant that I didn't feel isolated. Margaret is truly an exceptional and friendly host who communicates promptly and clearly. I almost hesitate to share "my" Boathouse location with too many of my back-home friends because it feels so intimate and special. I already want to be back there. I offer my deep thanks to Margaret and to the place that I could - briefly - call home.

We got a very rainy week in Maine but still enjoyed the beautiful, comfortable and well stocked house, views, decks and incredible garden. Beautiful restaurants, bookstores and wine and antique shops near by. Hope to return to very soon.

I recently stayed with my family at this incredible Airbnb that exceeded all my expectations. This property offered a hot tub, a pool table, and a level of privacy and tranquility that made for a truly relaxing getaway. One of the highlights of our stay was being able to watch the northern lights from the hot tub – it was absolutely magical. We spent a week in Acadia, and the location was perfect, just 15-20 minutes from Bar Harbor or the nearest town. The hosts were very responsive, and the place was fantastic for families, being both kid and pet friendly. It was a week filled with unforgettable moments, and I can't recommend this place enough!

This place was perfect for me! Right in the center of town with easy access to all my favorite bar harbor shops and restaurants. Instructions were super clear on check in and I loved having the parking at balance rock inn. This is also the only Airbnb that I’ve stayed in that had an excess towels which was amazing after long days of hiking and multiple showers.

We had a great stay at this house! Plenty of beds for everyone. Convenient to get to Acadia and bar harbor with a short drive!

We enjoyed our stay at Ashleys's home. It is a beautiful, peaceful and lovely location, with great proximity to Acadia National Park, Winter Harbor and the Schoodic Institute. Our family enjoyed watching the lobster boats in the morning and noodling around the peninsula. It was a very comfortable space, with a well stocked kitchen and dining area.

Excellent place to relax . Host is friendly and responsive. Plenty of activities and amenities.

Absolutely beautiful tiny house with attention to detail. We were two couples visiting Acadia NP and had a great time. We loved the BBQ and firepit for s’mores after a long hiking day. Ashley is a great host, very responsive and gave great tips.

Amazing stay at Lupine Cabin, would 100% recommend for anyone looking for a rustic vacation but still want amenities. We stayed 2 nights and went kayaking and made a bonfire. Bathrooms were extremely clean, as well as all the linens. We were also able to check in early due to the rain and Eddie was extremely helpful. Out too dogs also loved the cabin. Planning on coming back soon.

The only suggestions I have to improve upon our stay would be additional solar lighting, fairy/xmas light type might work, in the loft and having the perimeter lighting around the fire pit being angled downward a bit. However, neither of these are going to deter another visit! The cabin and surroundings are absolutely magical and lovely. I wish everyone would set up a hand/dishwashing station like Sienna has — everything is there! I loved it! The firewood is priced reasonably and we only needed one bag during our stay. Kindling is provided! Found a few chunks of fatwood and fallen birch bark around our site that worked well, though. My friend and I loved this spot, truly. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!!!
