Gaia Soul was actually the reason we wanted to go to Sri Lanka. And — (even though we never travel to the same places again) Gaia Soul will be the reason we have to go back. The pool and the skate ramp were so much fun. There are a lot of different hang out zones, so you will always find a comfortable spot. The place is so tidy and clean at all times. The exterior is really nice with the concrete and the orange and pink flowers. The garden areas are taken care og daily. There is a beautiful beach 5 minute walking distance. 
You can order food all day from the neighbour restaurant, that serves delicious traditional Sri Lankan food. (You have to try the curry with coconut sambol and the breakfast pancakes) Sanduni and her team will take care of you from you arrive until departure. We had two morning yoga sessions with Sarka. She is a great yoga teacher. It felt so special to just walk to the open jungle yoga studio in the beautiful wild surroundings. Thank you so much Baxter!

We have just left Khouse after 3 nights as a large family of mixed cultures (12 adults and 3 young kids). Khouse was the perfect choice for us to spend relaxed quality time together. The 2 properties both with 3 bedrooms each situated close by to one another provided flexible accommodation with just the right balance of closeness and space. With the use of 2 extra beds for the kids it was perfect. The buildings are beautiful. The shadey garden is full of nature and large; affording space to safely play and the pool has a great shallow area for the pre-schoolers. The beach is lovely for exploring, digging, rock pooling (with shoes) but not for swimming, although you can snorkel early morning. The staff are friendly and accommodating, they cannot do enough for you. They have a small kitchen and only 1 chef so catering for a large group can be complicated this is not a hotel but we appreciated every effort they made even adding extra guests for a special meal. Perfect. thank you all.

Priyanthi’s place was absolutely perfect for our stay in Hiriketiya! It was exactly as described, very modern and we were greeted with fresh coconuts and flowers on arrival which made us feel so special and welcome! We had beautiful hospitality & service from Priyanthi’s son who was always on hand to help us with anything we needed and provided lovely, authentic breakfast in the mornings. We would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in the area! Thank you so much to Priyanthi & family for a lovely stay - we will be back! :)

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! Our family came together from four different countries, and this place turned out to be the perfect spot for us to reconnect and relax. Jerome and his staff were incredibly warm, helpful, and attentive throughout our stay — always ready to assist with anything we needed, while making us feel right at home. The space was clean, comfortable, and full of thoughtful touches that made a real difference. From local tips to delicious meals and friendly check-ins, everything was handled with genuine care. We’re so grateful for the hospitality and will definitely remember this experience fondly. Highly recommended!
