Ian and I welcome you to a wee taste of country life and country noise, less than an hours drive from Auckland City. The Shed offers peaceful rural and water views plus the occasional visit from wild deer and peacock, or grunt from the roar (April/May). It is a restful stop on your travels, or an escape from the hustle bustle of life. Stand alone with a garage between it and the main house. Have to vacate our home for renovations so stayed at Lisa and Des’s place as our temporary accomodation. Perfect for our needs and our home away from home for a few days. Had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Des was very responsive when we had a minor issue which was resolved quickly.

We had a great stay at Kaukapakapa, Faye and Dan were perfect hosts and Wallace and Darwin were always pleased to see us. Probably the carrots carrots really. There is plenty of space and all the amenities you could wish for. Thank you very much for everything.

Highly recommend - everything is well thought out. We spent one night here and everyone wished we had booked for longer. The spa was amazing especially during this cold weather. The gym and sauna are well equipped. There’s a bbq and loads of board games. Netflix and sky aswel. Everything was just amazing

A beatiful and peaceful stay with gorgeous views. We loved waking up to the cows and fantails in the morning and the sound of all the birds. Location is great for visiting Matakana or for the walking tracks in Tawharanui Park. Clean and tidy and very comfortable stay.
