Drumguish Cottage

Drumguish Cottage is located in the highlands of Scotland, and the Cairngorm National Park which is 1,748 square miles and larger than Luxembourg. The cottage is set among the majestic pine woods of Drumguish, with mountain views and with lots of wildlife. It is close to the town of Kingussie with its shops and golf course, and in easy reach of Aviemore and the ski slopes on Cairngorm mountain. The area is a walkers' paradise with lowland and upland trails starting direct from the cottage.

The Star Hut at Rannoch Station

Unique, single-room glass-fronted hut in a silver birch/rowan wood on a small hill, full of character with a spectacular view 25 miles to the East. Rannoch Moor is a place of peace and tranquillity, there is no noise (after the 9.05pm train) and no light pollution. Weather permitting, you can watch the stars and sunrise while lying in bed, see deer walking in the wood, experience being cosy in the midst of dramatic weather or listen to the dawn chorus. Foulis Castle is a 15 min walk away from the Storehouse Restaurant & Farm shop, which is situated on the shore/beach of the Cromarty Firth (Mon-Sat, 9-5pm). You’ll love my place because of privacy of having your own country retreat within beautifully landscaped gardens. My place is small with one bedroom that contains either x2 singles or zip&link super-king size bed. The 3rd guest is on a roll-away mattress ideal for a child.
