Stunning location. Stepping out onto the beach was absolutely divine Geraldine was a lovely host, responsive and helpful. Very cute location. I would love to go back. Very doable to get to Gisborne especially if you hire a car.

Great place for a couple of nights. Comfy bed. Right next to wharf, the beach, and riverbank walkway. Walked to Farmers Market on Saturday morning. As mentioned in the comments, there seems to be a bit of angst about AirBnB and the parking situation - a resident we met when we arrived told us: "AirBnB guests can't park onsite." (we didn't park onsite, nor did we even ask anyone).

We stayed for 4 nights in winter. Enjoyed our stay. Spacious, comfortable,quiet unit. Very clean. Kitchen was very well equipped. Was cosy with heat pump, though no electric blankets. Enjoyed the view of the ocean from inside (as very cold weather). We would stay there again at any time of year.

From the outside, the house appeared quite standard, but stepping inside revealed a lovely, clean, and tastefully decorated space. A delightful bonus was having Tiger, the friendly cat, as part of the experience! Although we didn’t meet the host in person, she made us feel truly welcomed :-) We highly recommend this house for its beautiful location, comfort, and all the essentials needed for a relaxing and restful stay. We will be back!!
