Family-friendly vacation rentals in Gisborne

Swan Bay views was the perfect accommodation for our needs as a couple with a dog. It had everything we needed from a large secure backyard for the dog to a warm and cosy one bedroom apartment with high quality king size bed, fully equipped kitchen and laundry. We appreciated the extra touches on arrival with the lovely sourdough bread, lemon cake and home made jams, prewarmed rooms, instructions and local recommendations. It was a nice blend of B&B and AirBnB with the lovely provisions and well stocked kitchen and owners onsight but out of site. The location was a short walk to main street and a nice and quiet location with beautiful views of Swan bay to greet you each morning.

Wonderful experience. From first communication to the last, Henfry was friendly, courteous and proactive. Directions for parking and accessing the unit were clear and easy. The unit itself was clean, well stocked and comfortable. Lovely views with good wifi. Good heating for a cold few days! Beds were comfortable and the tram (free tram zone) was just outside the front door making the CBD easily accessible. Great place to stay! Highly recommended

Vintage Melbourne available at a great price! The location is excellent. Within walking distance to all St. Kilda has to offer as well as easy access to public transportation. Parking was always available in front of the house but the option for a private spot is included. Great value!

This place was in a beautiful location very quiet and private and the house was cozy and comfortable. We loved the comfortable beds, couches and warm living space. a beautiful house in a beautiful area.

Lady Marmalade has quickly become a favourite for our annual girls trip. It’s cozy, close to the shops and a beautiful house. We look forward to our visit every year. James is a great host and very friendly and responsive.

Spent 2 nights La Boheme. We really enjoyed our stay here. The place is in the middle of nature with plenty of wildlife. The highlight was definitely the regular kangaroos bouncy past the house. The location is perfect with plenty to do and plenty to see.

We had a wonderful time at Gingers on the Hill. Upon arrival the fire was on and the place felt welcoming and cosy. There was a special touch hiding in every corner and we felt very looked after. The instruction book was very clear and the place was spotless. The surroundings were very peaceful. Definitely recommend it!

Great little cabin, short drive from townships of Hepburn and Dayelsford. Emma was excellent with communication.

Extremely comfortable apartment in a great location, just a short stroll to town and all the shops/pubs/cafes. We stayed during the Kings Birthday weekend which was cold and wet and absolutely loved the fire and how cosy it was! Would definitely recommend and will be back!

We stayed over the long weekend Hubby and I felt right at home it was warm and toasty on arrival. We loved the cottage as it was cute and charming surrounded by beautiful Australian flora and fauna. The lake was in walking distance and the Main Street was only a couple minutes drive. Ellen and Kevin’s place is really gorgeous and full of character. They go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable. The wood fire is so atmospheric and cosy. They natural surroundings are so relaxing. I highly recommend!

We had such a wonderful time at the Barn House - it was the perfect getaway for four friends. The accommodation was really private, well equipped, well heated (stunning fireplace), cozy and a little eclectic. From the moment we arrived we began planning our next trip back. A very comfortable, clean spacious place. Great central location close to Main Street, with shops, restaurants & Lake Wendouree. An ideal place for four adults or a family. Very comfortable couch. Wonderful place to stay and would highly recommend to anyone. Clean and spacious, comfy beds and the host really has thought of everything! Nice walk to cafes, parks, trams and buses. Not too long into the city and surrounding attractions. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back.

Anne was extremely helpful and friendly. She made us feel right at home especially after a long flight from the UK. She met us at the apartment and showing us round the property and giving us great tips on the surrounding area. Anne was always very responsive during our stay and was a great help in ensuring my son found longer term accommodation for his new job in Melbourne. The apartment was nicely located for trams into the CBD and a 5 minute walk to the beach!!! I cannot thank Anne enough not only allowing us to use her property but for all the advice and help. Would definitely stay again.

such a beautiful stay with an outdoor bath, firepit out the back with tables and chairs to relax and an extremely comfortable bed. located only a few km from cathedral ranges national Park and lake mountain, its an ideal spot to spend the night after a day's hike. Or perfect to just spend the day lazing around the house, with the fireplace out the back and izzy the black lab to keep you company. absolutely loved it

This was such great experience for my friend who stayed here wjo came.from oversease and as her first experience at Air bnb accomodation. The host, Anne was very prompt, lovely and responsive every single requeat we asked for. The neighbourhood vibe was great. My friend said that she would definitely come back with her family in future. I, myself who reseved the place for my friend was more pleased that I made a right choice for her. I as a neighbour and am familiar with the area, will also absolutely recommend anyone who wants to stay in Melbourne. The heating rack in the bathroom was brilliant in this cold weather. The two cats were also very entertaining. In overall, everything was superb.
