Lavender Cottage

Outstanding location, 10 min to friendly st mawes, you can take the foot ferry across, great ferryman btw. Brilliant weather our week so sunny , visited cellar beach , a short walk from the cottage to the side of place manor, great for swimming, paddle board ect or watching the boats sail by. Cottage very private indeed , a space to completely relax and switch off , set in a walled garden , a little sun trap, orchard , no traffic noise, just the friendly birds , in all perfect. We look forward to booking again soon , can’t wait to come back . Thankyou John

Stylish Coastal Cottage Walk to Beach & SW Path

JennyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Eleanor’s cottage was perfect for our family of four. It is next to the creek and a very short walk to the pub and ferry. The cottage was great, with comfortable beds and everything we needed. We picked up some supplies on our way to the cottage at the supermarket in Helston, but the local shop in Helford was handy too. Parking was on the creek or up in a nearby car park (a 2 minute walk up the hill). We bought a ticket for the week and left the car there except on the days we were venturing further afield. We had such a great holiday and would definitely recommend this beautiful part of Cornwall and Eleanor’s lovely cottage!

A beautiful place to stay. Really enjoyed the craftsmanship of the cabin's construction and the cosy ambiance when the fire was going. Beautiful walks along the quarry valley woods.

Cosy studio in a pretty Cornish village

LindaRating, 5 stars4 days ago
We booked this last minuite as we had to postpone our original hoilday We have never visited this part of cornwall but it is really beautiful far less commercialised.lovely little coves The accomadation is very well laid out and equipt Everywhere was very clean There were huge soft towels and soft good quality bedding The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept well each night. We were left lots of extras, biscuits, flowers ,dog chews and a bottle of pressecco in the fridge. There were toilet rolls and hand soap and even a dishwasher tablet The garden was completely secure and private for our two dogs and a real little suntrap .We would highly recommend Vikki offered us an extra air conditioner but the fan that was there and the one we brought was sufficent it was a cool place temperature wise. 3 mins down the road is lovely pub restaurant owned and run by the village residents We had a lovely sunday lunch and several other meals was very good food friendly dog friendly

This is the second time we have stayed at the Cabin. Can’t fault it at all. Beautiful and rustic surrounded by nature! What more could one wish for. Lovely personal touches by the host. Our 4 legged fur baby enjoyed the stay too.

Porthallow Cove. Dogs go free. Secure garden

JoshRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Louise was a fantastic host. Loved the little gestures of the black board welcome message and the goodies left for the dogs, as they meant a lot. Her home was clean, and bigger than expected. When she says the garden is dog proof, she means it. We mainly only used the front garden, and the dogs loved it, large and a sun trap, where they could run around freely and had no worry of them getting out at all. I would definitely recommend this place, and would love to stay again. the location is definitely more of a "off-the-path" location, but worth it, if you don't want to be in a Cornwall tourist spot. That said, there is more than enough choice of local food locations at the most of a 5/10 minute drive, and two amazing costal walk to explore leading out on both sides of Porthallow Cove. I cannot fault this stay as it provided everything we needed for the week that we stayed!

Dog friendly apartment with panoramic sea views

DianeRating, 5 stars4 months ago
We had a fabulous week. We were very lucky with the weather. The coastal views are staggering. We loved the constant changing colours of the landscape and sea. The SW Coast path was yards from the apartment, and the walk into Coverack easily manageable by road and path. Lovely rocky beach/cove in front of the building. Instructions for getting there were perfect, local team good at resolving a question we had. Even though it is remote and there were very few people around in February, we felt very safe and secure with the door code and keys. In the apartment, the lounge was a lovely relaxing area, good TV and internet coverage. Quite spacious with wide hallway, good sized bedroom and lounge kitchen diner. More than enough space for two. The balconies were excellent, it was warm enough to open a door and stand outside for a short while. The apartment was wonderfully warm, so cosy with 50mph winds on one evening. Thank you for the milk and biscuits. Hope to return one day.
