Cottage 101 - Moyard

TanyaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Absolutely stunning location!!!!! We spent an entire morning climbing on the peninsula, looking in the tide pools, watching the otters play, and seabirds fly. The sheep near by could be seen and heard and I couldn't imagine a more beautiful spot. It was a short drive to Kylemore Abbey and the national park. The shear sense of serenity and freshness was invigorating. The beds were comfortable and the living room was well stocked with reading material for a peaceful evening. My group has already discussed coming back for a longer stay just to enjoy the coastline more.

Connemara Sands Self Catering Cottage

MartinaRating, 5 stars10 months ago
The perfect place for a holiday! The house was very nice and spacious. The beach is incredible - perfect for kids as it is very shallow which also helps with the temperature because the Atlantic Ocean doesn’t feel as cold as the sun heats up the water in the bay. The restaurant must be one of best we ever went to! Treat yourselves to a dinner there and you won’t be disappointed - outstanding!

Beautiful thstched roof cottage on the sea. Spent a peaceful two nights and enjoyed the nearby walks that Paul had recommended including the restaurant in nearby Ballyvaughn. Me, my cousin and his two young sons stayed at Gail and Antoine's house in Garmna, right in the middle of the islands in Connemara. We had a warm welcome from the first day not only from Gail and Antoine but also from their neighbors. The house was veryclean, comfortable and beautifully furnished. The bedrooms were to a high standard and the place was veryconvenient for the fishery, our reason for coming. Antoine was extremely generous with his time and advice. We loved the pool table in the evening. The atmosphere was always relaxed and welcoming. I highly recommend anyone who would like a trulyIrish experience in beautiful Connemara. We will undoubtedly be back!

Carraige No 223. A recycled green energy carraige.

CharlotteRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Staying in James’ renovated train carriage was pure magic! From start to finish, everything about our stay was unforgettable. The carriage itself is beautifully restored—full of character, charm, and thoughtful touches that made it feel both unique and incredibly comfortable. You can really tell how much care and creativity James has poured into every detail. Waking up surrounded by countryside views, with the soft creak of old wood and the morning light streaming through the windows, was such a peaceful experience. The space was spotlessly clean, cozy, and surprisingly spacious, with all the modern comforts you’d expect—without losing any of the vintage charm. James was a fantastic host: welcoming, helpful, and full of great local tips. It’s the perfect getaway if you’re looking for something special and a little out of the ordinary. Highly recommended!

Unusual place to find, but once there it was magnificent. The amenities were so appropriate for multiple adult guests, including facilities for people with mobility issues. There are steps, though the width and incline are manageable for someone with limited issues climbing stairs. Thoroughly recommend for a peaceful stay.

Beautiful one bed apartment in excellent location

Catherine C.Rating, 5 stars1 month ago
I was looking for a quiet and yet beautiful spot to relax . Matthew's place was above and beyond my expectations. I was arriving on my own in Spiddal for the first time and a bit worried about finding the apartment and getting in. Matthew gave me detailed information and pictures of entering the apartment.. It couldn't have been easier!! And so secure. The apartment itself is beautiful. I felt so at home. The views and walks are hard to describe in words, so lovely. People in Spiddal are extremely welcoming. Groceries, pubs and the bus are a few steps away. In a few words, I can't wait to go back and definitely hope I can stay at the apartment. My home away from home. Thanks Matthew!!

The Herons Rest Townhouse 16 - Sea views

Well, what can I say that hasn’t been said by other guests - this is an outstanding rental and Sorcha was a terrific host. The accommodation was exactly as described and super clean. The welcome hamper of food was outstanding- local produce of the highest quality… just loved the granola especially! Everything is walkable from Sorcha’s place whether you’re heading to the pubs, to Eyre Square or in the opposite direction to Salthill; it’s all on your doorstep. The views from the house were fantastic- we watched the Galway hookers set sail and return, so elegant! All in all we’d a super stay and Sorcha was brilliant about communicating & checking that all was okay - so thoughtful. Oh yes, and the little guide she provides is great; we enjoyed some of the food recommendations (book where possible as Galway is super popular!). Great city, great accommodation, great stay.

This is a great cozy place, decorated like a classic home of the mid 20th century, with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. It even has a fireplace! It’s in Athenry, with a train station accessible directly from Limerick or Dublin. It’s a 20 min ride to Galway centre. Ray is a nice guy who showed us around when we arrived. We really recommend it

Loved staying at Fauve’s place, the cottage near Kinvara. Housed my wife and I, our two kids, and my parents. On a secluded coastal/marsh drive off Galway Bay, it’s peaceful and quiet. The house is just as beautiful as the photos. Fauve knows how to decorate - it’s like a showroom inside. Comfy beds, quiet surroundings, huge yard space for the kids to play. The Travellers Inn is just down the street to grab a pint! Don’t hesitate booking this place, it was awesome.

House is beautiful and very comfortable! All the amenities we need and super clean. The view and surrounding scenery are amazing. We walked 3 1/2 miles to town on Sky road each morning and saw donkeys, Connemara ponies, jack rabbits and pheasants. Wonderful restaurants in town. Great hike up Diamond Hill in nearby National Park and swam in ocean at beautiful Dog’s beach. Amazing place for a relaxing and fun vacation!

Top notch experience. Max was very easy to communicate with and answered immediately with the lone question I had. The beds and bedrooms were very comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped with gear, and the outdoor area really made it a special stay. The surrounding area was absolutely beautiful and peaceful. 3 minute walk to a art gallery/cafe, 4 to the beach, 5 to a restaurant/bar. If this place is available don't screw around, just book it.

Galway City Centre Harbour Views

ChuckRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Nice townhouse right in the city center which made it easy to explore Galway city. Very easy to check in and out. One heads up that the house overlooks the docks which can be a bit busy and noisy on weekday mornings. It isn't too bad, but something that could impact those who sleep late. Thankfully we were all early risers :)
