Northwood Estate, 15min from UF

Our home is located in a very quiet family friendly neighborhood. We have no neighbors behind our home. The yard is roughly a quarter acre. The house itself is about 2,000sqft. Please be mindful of the homes age, it is almost 50 years old. Despite the multitude of upgrades there are still some small quirks such as: The AC takes a second to kick on, please be patient and lower the temperature just a few degrees at a time for the best results. The water takes a second to be hot and our hot water heater isn’t huge so if the water begins to get cold after 3-4 people shower just give it a minute to refill and heat up. Please make sure to close both sliding glass doors completely before attempting to insert the pin, it needs to be able to line up properly. The master bathroom toilets handle gets stuck down at times, please make sure after using the restroom that it is in the upright position. Finally please do not try to break into our linen closet etc. if you need anything reach out and we will be more than happy to help.

Crazy Oaks Cottage is off the beaten path, yet a few minutes drive to all Gainesville offers. The house is on an acre, nestled in the woods. Across the road is a beautiful horse farm, maintained by UF. We are close to hospitals and UF campus. Our area is known for a variety of bird species! With very little traffic on the road, it's perfect for our guests with dogs. Morning views are misty and peaceful, and you may glimpse the deer that frequent our yard. Come home to Serenola Hammock!

We had a great time at the Pickle House! We had to book last minute for a conference and Nicola was so prompt with confirming our booking. We have 3 children 5 and under. The house had plenty of space for us to feel comfortable and the kids LOVED the fenced backyard. The house was central in Gainesville to all we needed to do surrounding UF. The snack basket was also a sweet touch. We appreciated all of the attention to detail. We would definitely recommend to stay here and would love to come back! Thanks, Nicola!

Our family of four enjoyed every aspect of our stay here. A modest country home nestled in the woods. Seeing all the deer coming & going, listening to the birds. Roads are beautiful with soft white sand and canopy trees make for the most enjoyable, relaxing walks, especially down to the Ichetucknee for a float. Private access was a privilege we loved, never dealing with any crowds. Fell in love with the area. Kayaked down the Santa Fe. Abundance of wildlife, and the perfect slower pace we love. Would come again. Host was responsive, nothing was ever needed as everything was well thought out. Home was clean & kept well ordered and prepared.

What a gorgeous, calm, peaceful, cozy spot out in the country. Paola and Ruben were kind and responded whenever I needed them. The property and apartment are even more delightful than expected. Had a great stay at Amanda's, we arrived late so was nice to have a place to rest before we continued our journey. There was ample parking and the area felt safe. The house was quaint and had been updated beautifully. Modern bathrooms, huge and comfortable beds and a good social area for meeting with friends. I always love stopping through Gainesville and this place was the perfect addition to the stay, thank you again Amanda!

I got to meet her puppy Brutis and he is very well trained and she was so helpful at alternating potty breaks and letting my special needs dog plenty of outside time alone 🥰

My husband and I were looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway and Cathy’s place was the perfect fit. Cathy and her husband were very friendly and welcoming. The place was well equipped with just about anything you could need. Cathy was very responsive to any questions or concerns we had and even had provided me with an update about when to expect the power to be restored when it had gone out. We enjoyed sitting on the dock fishing and just enjoying the water. We would definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking for a quiet and peaceful place on the water and we are hoping to go back again.
