Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Gabriola Island

The CQ was exactly what we wanted. Private cabin on a quaint farm. We had everything we needed and Henny knows exactly what she is doing! Great location 15 mins max to anything on the island. The place far exceeded our expectations. It was equipped with EVERYTHING we would have needed to not go anywhere the whole time. The kitchen was stocked with all the cooking necessities, the kind beds in every room with vaulted ceilings made us feel like the boujee girls we want to be. The views were breathtaking and being able to have all of our meals outdoors with heat and covering made it so memorable. The house came with cars and outdoor games too to use on the nice open yard. It really felt like the place was ours. The icing on the cake was the chairs, wood and starters to make our own little beach fire right below the house and roast marshmallows while watching the sunset. Couldn’t recommend this stay enough! Definitely coming back!

We had a great stay! The sauna, cold plunge and hot tub were awesome. Lots of space to hang out, cook meals and play board games. An easy drive or 10 min walk to amenities- great place, I’d come back again!

Priceless views and amazing architecture are showpieces of this magnificent home that combines coziness, elegance, comfort and rustic charm. We’ve stayed at many airbnbs, but this one is a new favorite. It’s an ideal getaway for the whole family; plus it’s close to interesting hikes and restaurants. The kitchen is well stocked for eating at home. We didn’t enjoy the taste of the well water, but bought drinking water at Tru Value. Carley was very responsive and helpful throughout. We would love to come back in the summer.

Coastal retreat was lovely and perfect for two couples. 2 bathrooms seemed like quite a luxury. Suite was clean, view and property were beautiful. Dyan greeted us when we arrived. Dyan and Des were responsive and friendly. Would definitely recommend this property and would for sure stay again. Everything was exactly as described.

It was like a home away from home. Super clean and well thought-out. Everything we needed (and didn't know we needed) was available. Lauren thought of every little thing one could possibly need. Our two young children and dog felt right at home and settled well.

Fantastic stay and delivered the solitude in nature that I was looking for. It was a great way to experience the San Juans. The view was stunning, the access to the beach was stellar, and one of the best ways to spend a few days relaxing. The loaner vehicle was perfect to get us from dock to house. Reminder, for anyone looking to book this airBNB, please be mindful of what you pack and bring as there is no store to quickly run to if you forgot something. Also, you need to pack out your recyclables & non-compostables. Overall, would stay again and have already recommended it to others as an Eco-friendly vacation destination.

I recently stayed at Ashley's place, and it was an exceptional experience! The property was exactly as described (and even better in person). It was spotless, cozy, and equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The attention to detail in the décor and amenities made it feel like a home away from home. The location was perfect, especially the view was amazing. I loved the closed huge backyard too because of my dog. Ashley was incredibly welcoming and providing clear communications. I would highly recommend this place to everyone. We definitely gonna stay at this place again. This time Summer.

Our stay in this condo was very good. The photos matched the actual surroundings and the hosts were wonderful to work with. The unit is located very close to the Chinatown Train Station (which makes access to & from the airport easy) and a stop on the "Hop On-Hop Off" bus tour very convenient. We were forewarned about areas of the city that were experiencing a lot of homeless people so that we could make sure that any walks were headed in the right direction. Very pleased overall.

Perfect place to stay for our group with 4 adults and two kids. We loved the views!

We felt very welcome into their vacation condo. The details made towards insuring our comfort, down to bottled water upon arrival and more was much appreciated. A bottle of white wine and Godiva chocolates were placed on the kitchen island along with the parking cards...a nice welcome to the condo. The unit was very clean and cozy. The convenience of walking to Father's Day brunch and later to dinner was perfect. Sherri and Dan sent a lengthy welcome message to us 48 hours prior to arrival, listing the restaurants, coffee houses and their proximity. The communication was great. Jamie was fantastic, so kind and welcoming. The place is very beautiful with a view that we never tired of. The setting was perfect for us as we wanted peace, quiet, and relaxation. We felt so lucky to stay here in such a wonderful setting in a place with everything we needed to stay in, relax and recharge after a intense surf sesh in Tofino! There is no mobile phone service as the listing states but high speed internet met our needs just fine. We would love to stay again. Thank you to these two fantastic hosts and for the opportunity to stay here.

Our family of 5 plus our dog enjoyed our stay at Oceanside Escapes. Johanna and Julie were readily available to answer any questions that we had before and during our stay. The cabin was well-supplied and had a binder listing many local recommendations. It was a short walk to Rathtrevor Beach which we all enjoyed, particularly our dog. All essential amenities and many attractions were nearby. The central air conditioner was especially helpful in keeping the whole cabin cool during the hotter days. We will be back.

Great little get away. Pool was awesome, hot tub was great. Great fenced front yard for the dogs. Back yard was quite big to be able to play with the kids. Very clean and tones of room. Ryan was great to deal with. Will definitely rent again on our next trip down. Thank you

Enjoyed the privacy of the unit and the beauty of Pacific Shores Resort. The kitchen was well equipped with lots of dishes and pots and pans. Heidi communicated well with good information.

We had a wonderful stay at Douglas and Kate’s cottage. They were super friendly, provided great recs, and gave us firewood for the campfire!

Wyatt and Brett were fabulous hosts. Super responsive, friendly, and went above and beyond by offering me fresh food from their garden - rhubarb, chives, peppermint, rosemary, and eggs from their chickens. The space is exactly as described. Adorable touches and meticulously clean. A block from a park overlooking the water - what a serene way to start and end the day. It’s also walkable to coffee shops, restaurants, and a grocery store. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

Jennifer's place was incredible and perfect for our little family. Our 1 year old had a great time playing with all the toys that Jennifer left us, and even provided a pack n play crib in our room. Everything was just as described and we had a wonderful stay. Jennifer was a great host! Would return again!

This is such a special place! The Cabin is an authentic, traditional family cabin, with plenty of supplies for a comfortable stay, but the location right on the lake is something else! We loved using the boats, spotting wildlife, playing on the beach. Such a memorable place to be with our family. We were also grateful for the prompt communication from Don. Thanks again

Faith and David were very hospitable hosts. Their farm is very pleasant and peaceful. The quiet of the surroundings, the diverse bird species and the fresh eggs and vegetables really made the stay very memorable. I enjoyed speaking with these wonderful hosts and I will be rebooking in the future!

This home, in our opinion, was ideally located for our first trip to Vancouver. The peacefulness and gorgeous views from the rooftop were by far our favorite aspect of the place. Everything was very clean, beds were very comfy and bathrooms clean as well. James was very responsive with any of our questions and was very communicative about house rules and so forth. the photos don't do this place justice. the apartment is meticulously clean and so thoughtfully designed. everything and anything you need they have thought of. there are little diagrams on how to use the shower and other little details that were just so impressive. the front deck is super cute and so peaceful we watched deer in the evening in the meadow. Doug was so thoughtful and message us before we came to us what kind of milk we would want for the granola he provided. so thoughtful and if come back to Salt Spring we will definitely stay here again.

We had an INCREDIBLE stay!!! 6 of us fit very comfortably in this place – the house is absolutely gorgeous with everything you could possibly need. Quick drive to town but quiet and gorgeous surroundings. Hosts were responsive and the utmost friendly – thanks for a wonderful stay!
