Family-friendly vacation rentals in Franklin County

We discovered every convenience...there was plenty of space for our family of four, the rooms were spacious and very clean, the kitchen had every item we needed to cook for a few days, and the fireplace and jacuzzi tub were favorites with the kids.

We will definitely be returning to Darren and Lynne’s BnB! Our room was very comfortable and homey, with great personal touches. We greatly enjoyed the delicious breakfast during our stay, and warming up in the hot tub at the end of our day skiing. Thank you for hosting us!

Brooke’s place was great! We had a great time. Easy to communicate, very fast response from her. The place was beautiful with nice mountain views. Definitely recommend.

John was a lovely and responsive host. It was a pleasure working with him. We've been going to Smugglers Notch for many years, and the place we rented was the nicest suite in the whole resort, in my opinion. I would highly recommend it as well as working with John. Thanks.

We spent a lovely weekend at Back Inn Time. My husband and I were traveling around the US on a 30 day Amtrak Rail Pass. We visited big cities around the country - Seattle, San Francisco, Chicago, New York City, Kansas City, and Washington, DC. Our visit to Back Inn Time in St Albans was our oasis of peace. Karen-Marie gave us a warm welcome in spite of our late arrival on the train. Our bed was very comfortable. I had a great soak in the tub and enjoyed the big robe that was provided. It was fun exploring St Albans and great that this was all walking distance from the train. And her breakfasts were amazing! Thank you for a lovely time!

Warm hospitality provided by Darren and Lynne. We really enjoyed our stay and our hosts were extremely accommodating to our family and dog. Beautiful setting with amazing home cooked breakfasts and excellent facilities.

We chose this camp because it was on the center line of totality for the 2024 eclipse. Neither the camp nor the eclipse disappointed! The camp is on the shore of Lake Champlain. The sunsets on the lake were incredible. Because we were there so early in the season there was no one in the neighboring cabins. It was so peaceful and quiet. Fabien was a great host. He adapted to our travel changes and met us at the camp when we arrived. He had already lit the wood stove. The camp has sulphur smelling water but Fabien provided us with about 7 gallons of bottled spring water to get us started. We thoroughly enjoyed our visits to Saint Albans, Burlington and Grand Isle. Don’t miss Niquette Bay State Park. They have many enjoyable and scenic hiking trails. They are moderately challenging with some elevation change and rocks and roots but nothing requiring specialized gear. Devyn’s Creemees was great! Lines out into the parking lot every evening for maple soft ice cream. Yum!

Susan and Bill’s place exceeded my expectations. I felt at home immediately and was infused with a sense of much needed peace and calm. The spacious rooms were carefully organized, clean and well maintained. Every room in the house is stocked with the basics, and more. Upon arrival, I was smitten with the magnificent scenery and welcomed into the home with fresh cut flowers and gifts of maple syrup, jam and a bag of local coffee! I even got a tour of their vegetable garden, met their lovely dogs and was gifted fresh greens and blueberries several times, during my month-long stay. This place is a gem! 💗💗💗

Easy to check in and check out. Lots of space. House instructions easy to find on refrigerator. I would just bring your own shampoo and conditioner because I couldn’t find any in the bathroom. Also, be mindful that restaurants aren’t open as late as you might be used to in other areas.

lovely unconnected location. sound of the stream putting you to sleep. very warm fireplace. could use a few more dishes if you really intend on cooking a meal for more than one person. a easy painless entry. responsive host. thank you.

We were just looking for a place last minute to see the total eclipse without clouds and traffic (and did!), but what a gem we stumbled on here. The sunset view from this place is absolutely gorgeous. The atmosphere outside is quiet and private and inside the cottage is so cozy and charming. You can really feel the history. The inside is much bigger than the images imply. There were four beds ready to use upstairs and two couches downstairs. Linda took great care of us and made sure the fireplace was already going strong when we arrived. Would love to return when we get another chance.

Very comfortable location. Everything we needed the unit had; fully stocked kitchen, bathroom, plenty of towels. Just plain lovely. Do note you will have to pay extra to enjoy Smugglers Notch activities. Could be extra $50-$100 per day for larger pools, hot tube, fun zone, and area activities.

Wonderful Stay. Perfect for skiing at Jay. Wonder spot to relax by the fire and wake up to the view. Judith was helpful and responsive. Hope to come back next year!

Stayed at Mike’s place for 3 nights while skiing at Jay Peak. Ideal location and was just the perfect layout and space for my party of 6. Even with 3 adults and 3 kids there was still plenty of extra space for additional guests. Some nice restaurants just down the street towards Montgomery. The space was also ideal for cooking in and enjoying time with everyone. Have been to Jay Peak often and would certainly be interested in renting again.

Great house and responsive host. Kitchen was very well stocked for cooking and there were plenty of books/games to keep you occupied.
